- A Jomox Alpha Base techno jam session, recorded in one take directly into Tascam DR-05 recorder. Compression applied in post-prod. Other than that it's all raw drum machine sound.

dang goooood work - all of it! sound and vision!!!
Great job with the Alpha ! Impressive... Good job with the video too !
Thank you!
Very good, you should release that
Thanks, maybe one day 😅
Unbelievable that it's live recorded.❤
You know it's an Alpha Base when the hats filter go randomly crazy ahah ! All joke aside, great stuff, love to hear more of this incredible machine on youtube, keep them coming !
I think the sound you're refering to is actually the vocal's filter. And it's not really random, just me cranking up the resonance too much 😅 thanks for commenting anyways
@@MaharadzaStunt Are you sure? I'm talking about the white noise at 7:12. I have an AB and occasionnaly have the same issue on the closed hats channel when the cutoff is too low .
Alright, it's the HH indeed. But the problem here was that I was switching from playing filtered sample as hi-hat to using noise instead. Forgot that the noise HH requires a shorter release envelope (which was set as max for the sample hh). So my fault, not Alpha Base's :))) normally I don't have such a problem. @@Mosneig
@@MaharadzaStunt Ah I see ! You show a great mastery of the machine anyway ! Happy accidents are never an issue in the end ;)
chewed that right on up!!!
Great stuff!
Banging! So sick. Sounds amazing 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you :)
It's me who thanks you 😊😊😊
Love it!
Live techno de nível superior e inspirador!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
this is soooooooooooo good! Alphabase is a machine, I got mine a month ago 😊
Amazing that this is all off the Alpha Base, also that you did this all live. The UI of the AB isn’t the easiest!
I’ve had an AB for 4 days, already impressed. Both inspired and daunted by what you have been able to do with it
I know it's a common opinion about the AB, but to be honest - what's so difficult about the ui? You've got 16 parameter knobs at hand easily switchable from page a to page b. It's perfect for playing live. Only some functions are not so easily accessible like the FX page but you'll get used to it :) good luck
This is a killer jam man, great work! Is the pad at the start the FM track or a sample?
Thanks! It's a looped sample with step sequenced pitch
@@MaharadzaStunt Ah right, it's very effective, sounds great. You should approach some labels with your tracks/jams (if you haven't already), get it out there, high quality stuff
🥰😇💥💫
cool

Neo Tokyo Jomox
Release bro!
Sounds great, any effect processing on it afterwards?
Thanks, there is master compression/limiters. Other than that it's raw.
This would be fun in a club. Do you play live?
Thanks! I only did a few live shows. Currently working on mastering a new setup (alpha base + loop station). After that I'll be looking for some more consistent live appearances
All alpha base?
Yes, single session, master going directly into recorder, only compression post-prod.
Even vocals are the Alpha (therefore samples of the SD card)?
@@christopherwhitehall2565 yes. There are two vocal samples from Neon Genesis Evangelion: 'kore wa dare?' and 'kore wa watashi'. Both recorded directly into the Alpha Base through the inputs. Both are played from instrument 5, so they're processed by AB's filter. I switch manually between the two samples with the sample select parameter knob. Later in the jam, they're played in reverse (page b knob 4), and they're p-locked to automatically switch every few beats.
