I remember when I first landed in the US to do my masters a some years ago, a relative of mine discouraged me from getting one. A year later someone I met took time to explain it to me very well. The very next day I went to the bank to get one and by the time I was leaving the US two years later I had a good credit score. It was above 700.What I did was that I had a budget for my monthly groceries so I used it for just that and I would pay it off at the end of each month. I would literally set an alarm on my phone to remind me a few days to when it's due and I'd pay it off immediately.
I had a similar experience but I didn’t listen to the persons advice because I did my research to know I can’t get a lot done in canada without a good credit score.
Thanks for the video. I’ve been seeing a number of ‘leaving Canada’ videos lately and I must say that my thought when seeing those was if the people actually planned and educated themselves on things like this. I feel like a lot of people get caught up and by the time they realize they’re in too deep. I also believe that with the proper planning, education and restraint you can make it well in Canada
Hey Mimi, i love your contents. Could you do a video on different types of credit cards and then discusses the types of account/Bank that is suitable for a newcomer in Canada. Thanks for all your rich valuable gist
When it comes to topics like money or finance, I've noticed that a lot of people aren't interested. However, the truth is that whether you become wealthy or poor depends on how much interest you have in money 💰. So, in that case, you need to be interested in it. Noted ✅️
@@Mimiojieh No kidding, they actually want to go abroad with the hopes of making money 🤣😅. It's like they believe that as soon as they set foot abroad, money will just come rolling in 😂. The truth is, success comes when you're genuinely focused on the money and work hard to attain it - that's the real path to getting it.
Thanks Mimi am Kenya living in Dubai,I have been ur great follower since ur here in Dubai.I am also planning to come to Canada and am really learning alot.Stay blessed mama❤❤❤❤LOVE FROM KENYA.looking good & beautiful always.
Thanks for starting this Class simple. Knowledge of Credit Score should be presented as simple as this. But I'm patiently waiting for the next class. I have my credit card but scared of launching it. Here comes a timely content. Thanks
Yes, you are right. Please start using it to shop your everyday groceries and pay back before due date. One secret is to never spend money you don’t have in your Chequing account
Thank you so much, I love this video, and I'm trying to relocate to Canada just thinking how I can move my money from dubai to Canada if I relocate because I can not carry all as cash
Madam I just want to ask a simple question, what if we apply for PR but the money is in the spouse account like ur wife, can that work,I mean ur proof of fund
I am a Blogger. I make very good money in a month. We're new in Canada. If I choose not to get a credit card at all. I can fund my lifestyle solely based on my income without taking credit. Should I still get a credit card or use my debit card only? And also I am on the verge of getting a car and I am going with lease. I wanted to go with financing but I am on a 2 years work permit and they said financing is 5 years only. Is it financially wise to get the car via lease? Please advice.

Which is the best bank to bank with please in Canada? Nice vidoe ❤
thanks so much for always educating us. How about you arrive canada with your spouse? can both of you have seperate cards each or use a joint card

What’s the name of your blog
Please get a credit card, use it and pay off. Hide your debit card. You need that credit consumption even for the car that you want to buy.
get a credit card , purchase what u want
on payment date, pay back all that’s owed with the money that you have
so u can build your credit score
I don't need to respond again because all three response is what I would advice
I appreciate all the quality response so far guys. Thanks!
