Ah this is... too short. As in, I wish I could listen to it forever. I'm going through a tough break up right now and I've been listening to so many versions of this song and I realize now that what I was doing was looking for something to let me cry. The tears did not start flowing until I heard you play. I am also a cellist, and I hope that one day I can move someone to tears the way that you are letting me cry right now. Thank you.

Thank you for listening Polina ! Each instrument has its strengths but also its weaknesses. For example I always wanted to play those awesome super high notes which dont exist on the cello but on the violin they sound amazing !! ❤❤
Hi! I also play violin, and sometimes when I feel like doing something different (and don’t have performances coming up) I will use octave strings which lowers the sound and makes it sound like a cello, it is really fun to play around with, and the strings are generally not that much!

Lubię i spokojną i szaloną piosenkę, jednak bardziej przykuła mi uwagę spokojna klasyczna muzyka wiolonczeli. I raz na raz jak jakieś brzmienie wiolonczeli przypada najbardziej do ucha, dochodzą mi drgawki po całym ciele i czuję taki spokój. Tak samo to miałam przy tej muzyce. Prawie się popłakałam. I don't know about the others, but I love the cello as hell and I'd like to pursue my dreams like visiting the United States in the future. But the cello is the most. I like a calm and crazy song, but what caught my attention was the calm classical music of the cello. And once in a while, when some cello sound falls the most in my ear, I feel tremors all over my body and I feel so calm. I had the same thing with this music. I almost cried. Thank you very much for such great music, you can see that you really tried🥰🥺❤️

I used to play the 'cello when I was a child (between the ages of 7 and 11) but then my 'cello teacher who was the only one in my area left and therefore I couldn't have any more lessons. It's such a shame as I loved playing the 'cello and I really wanted to master it. I'm 47 years old and I regret not taking it up again when I moved to London at the age of 18. I actually thought I was too old! If there are any people out there who think it's too late to start something new that they are really passionate about, then please learn from my mistake.

Update: it has been 10 months and I have come so far. I Iove the insturment and don't want to stop but I don't like the rigidness of classical music and wish I could learn to play stuff like this instead which I love and find beautiful. So I don't know what I should do...
Edit again: it has been over a year! Still struggling with what to do
It's almost been a year and a half. It has turned into a negative cycle of stress for me instead of something I love sadly. I think I may give it up and go back to an instrument that is better for me. Something more free for what I want to do. But I really am glad I did cello and proud of what I did. So thank you for inspiring even if it led here. I'll still listen even if it makes me sad again =)
And another update: I've still been going! I tried playing mofe interesting music. It's hard, I don't know why - I like it when I practice but it's so hard for me to start. I think it is because I don't like my parents being able to hear me play. Too personal? I love the insturment, but maybe I should still give it up? Maybe it isn't right for me, even if I do love it? I swear, isn't all my questioning if I should give up or not sign enough to give up?? I'm still lost. When I don't play, I want to give up and when I am playing and I know I don't want to aaaaah

oh Im so happy you like it because when I started shooting I noticed the light shinning on my face. It was that time of the day, noon time when the sun is right above so it kinda shines in this way. I wasnt sure if it will be good on camera or not but I had no other time I could shoot that day so I kinda went on with it. Im so happy you like the effect haha xd

This is really really beautiful. But as I feared, I CANNOT play it with you, with the (Great) changes you made. I've only learned it (by ear) as the original. No matter at all. For one thing, just sitting quietly and watching and listening is amazing, you are soooooo talented at this. (if you didn't know that already, please stop and put that info in your daily planner). And also, since I do everything by ear, after listening to it once, I CAN SING it along with you, and it's wonderful. (ok, the bridge threw me an extra curve, that needed an extra take, got it now, lol). I just love this song in the first place. Quick story-time:
I've sang this song probably 25 times. No effect on me. BUT, when driving to Chicago to see the Harp Twins (and to get a special shirt), I was shuffling music from my phone, and when this came up, as I'm driving about 90mph and singing, I started crying like a baby. OMG. I had to turn it completely off. So, when I got to Chicago, after hanging out with the Twins all afternoon, they went to rehearse for the next day, I went to an after-party. There's karaoke going on. So, ofc, I have to get involved. I pick THIS song to do. I figure, it kicked my ass on the drive up, I'm gonna kick ITS ass in front of 40 people right here. And it went fine.
So, back to you. You look and sound beautiful doing this! I'm so glad you've been able to make it back to RUclips to put up another great piece of musical magic. Thanks so much for this! 🙂💖

How do you manage to do vibrato so low down, I've only just started using vibrato and I find it really difficult 😂😂
Edit: this was 9 months ago and im actually pretty good now!! Definitely not as good as her but I have made progress. So practise 40 hours a day people.
Haha oh believe me dear this took me so long to manage. For this particular song I re-recorded the part with the high octave so many times. I am still not completely happy as I believe it's a bit out of tune.. but I had to post it because of a deadline so hope it's still enjoyable to listen to! And about the vibration, believe me vibrato is hard to master so don't be too harsh on yourself. Give yourself some time and keep up the daily work. You will see progress soon!! Good luck and keep me posted how it's going!
