personally i love kristen stewart and i think she deserved this award regardless of twilight. She is a breathtaking, rising actress and twilight has just put her out there and given her more oppertunities. In my opinion i think that kristens better roles that challenged her more as an actress were in movies like speak and the cake eaters, but because twilight is a popular film it has made her more well known to fans who can appreciate her talent so yes deserves it and she shouldnt doubt herself

For those saying she is retarted or on drugs are wrong, she is jjust naturally anxious. The one thing I'll never understand about Kristen Stewart's haters is that they think she's an quote unquote "Ungrateful Bitch" which quite frankly has NEVER been true. You can tell she is almost in tears during this video. Its one thing to call her awkward or ugly, but then to call her an ungrateful bitch is a another.

agree! i'm not a Twihard as well. Kristen is basically the reason why i keep waiting for the sequel. there are people who really hate Twilight and they become so subjective that they think she can't even act. and for those people i do recommend The Cake Eaters which she had done before Twilight. or.. no, just watch all of her movies.
and there are also people who say 'she always look blue or upset about something', ' i hate those clothes she wears'..

Twilight may not have been her best work but she deserved this. Movies like Adventureland and Into the Wild really proved she has great potential. I think she can act and I'm excited to see the Runaways because I heard she was great in it. Where people get these ideas that she is awkward in her movies is beyond me. Kristen is a great actress and I agree she's done other movies that are far better than the Twi Sagas such as Speak, Into the Wild, The Cake Eaters. She's a humble, sincere human being. I understand that people may not like the Twilight movies and say they don't like her in them because they make her seem awkward but if you have read the books you would know that is the character she is playing, Bella is awkward and clumsy. I'm very excited to see Welcome to the Rileys.
