DrMattDestruction Yes, that´s all I am saying: People keep wondering why this guy behaved that way - I am saying it´s because he thought she was being an ignorant asshole. She should deal with such situations more professionally. I just looked up when she dropped the Popcorn-award - that was *SIX* years ago, and she acted pretty much as nervous, cramped and "girly-clueless" as she did here in this video. I think if you make that much money and get to talk on stage every now and then, you should invest the time in some professional training. Autohypnosis helps, meditation helps, and I guess learning to connect with one´s audience might help, also. However, from seeing the two videos, it appears as if Kristen Stewart does none of those - and maybe does´t care? Whatever.
Why is people making drama out of the fact that she told the man to please put the award on the table?? She was so nervous that her hands were sweaty and shaking and she was scared of dropping the award to the floor as she once did at the MTV Movie Awards. Can't understand why she's being criticized for that?

It's a performance movie. Just one after the other from all the actors involved. But the standouts are Binoche and Stewart who go toe-to-toe in scene after scene. It's one of those movies where you don't know if the characters are acting dialogue (Binoche's character is preparing for a role) or arguing. It's brilliantly done.

she's probably the realest person in the world. i felt more comfortable with not being good at public speaking because of kristen. i get super nervous like her whenever i need to speak infront of a group of people. at those moments i just wanna dig a hole and hide myself. id always feel this lump in the throat and as hard as i try no words will come out and i kinda just stand there with people staring at me. imagine speaking infront of all these people without even knowing french, guys! shes also a human being who happen to be talented and beautiful
Some of the comments on this are absolutely ridiculous. She's shocked that she won, and then visibly shaking as she walks to the stage. She says her hands are shaking and THAT is why she asked him to put the award down. She didn't want to drop it (she does this at every awards show because she HAS dropped and award before and it was traumatizing for her). And good for her for trying to speak French at the FRENCH Oscars. People are way too hard on this girl. If you've seen the movie, or even read any of the reviews for it, Kristen was phenomenal in it. All the critics agree. Not one critic had a bad thing to say about her performance. So please, stop trying to find things to nitpick about this girl.

She was so nervous it was adorable. You could tell she absolutely didn't think she would win. It's such a huge honor as an American actress so I'm sure she felt the pressure of that and was just fueled with adrenaline from the shock of winning.

So so incredibly proud of her. I saw this movie and I absolutely loved it! Kristen and Juliette were magical on screen. Even Chloe had her moments. You can't get Kristen;s "Valentine" out of your head even long after you see this movie..she is THAT GOOD.
I think the best moment in this speech is when they showed Mr. Assayas' face listening to her speech. Maybe it's just me but I think I saw tears in his eyes during her speech. Bless him and bless Kristen for being so nervous up there. ;)
