  • Skjoldungernes Land is a national park in Denmark, situated around Roskilde Fjord. I visited with my friends Mathieu and Thomas and my dog Arki, for adventure number 11 of the 100 best things to see in Denmark.
The Scyldings (Old Norse: Skjǫldungar) were the descentands of Skjǫldr, and were the fist dynasty of Danish kings. We visited Boserup Forest, Old Lejre to see the Viking Ship Stones, and Bolund Peninsular.
I got the poster of 100 Danish Sights from www.beenposter... - they also make one for Europe, and one for the whole world.

One of those wonderful meandering days out where you don't have any particular strong goals but just spend the day enjoying the world. I love those! Lovely to meet Arki too :)

i was wondering, is that path to the island artificial? 👀

@@RealityMixer i think it is natural. i’ve seen similar elsewhere in Denmark. we were joking about it being a “half-island” but “halvø” is literally the Danish word for “peninsula” so i think it’s a natural geological feature.

@@aimeerivers ahh okay, i thought it might’ve been a real island and then they made that path to the island 😄 the path appeared to be so well made that i thought it wasn’t natural

@@RealityMixer there’s an island that i have to go (it’s on the poster!) which has a similar path except it’s under the water surface. depending on the time of day it’s between ankle deep and knee deep! so that’ll be a fun video!
