This video is so old now!! I remember seeing your initial video and grinding for HOURS playing Tiger! Tiger! to get all the parts! Just came back for Xenoblade 3, but wanted to pay my respects to the OG video I spent hours replaying
just so you know that the luck/strength boost..these kind of skill rams have no effects if your for example QT is not in the fight..(which means if you switched to QTpi, your QT's skill ram will lost its effects)
After a bit of testing they do actually seem to do add the stats regardless. Maybe became a thing in one of the later patches but either way it does work.
Nothing really sucks on QT pi. I first got her in chapter 9 right before end game. I had no core chip equipped to her and hadn't leveled up her affinity chart at all. For shits and giggles, I decided to try her out on a test run at the World Tree. She took out level 65 enemies without batting am eyelash. I had Rex and Nia with their blades of course but that's still impressive as you can imagine. She really is that good and she will kick ass no matter what build you decide to do for her. She's still got a bit of an advantage as an attacker, but don't let that deter you if you'd prefer to go a different route.
Would you say the old guide would be better for ai Tora, as I typically play as either Rex or Zeke with Tora taking the hits as ai, and since this build is meant to be for using QT Pi exclusively, idk if this would be good for the ai since they would naturally switch to Alpha and QT

I know this vid is old but I'm just now deciding to truly delve into the optimized combat and I feel like I'm just missing some stuff. Where is the healing outside of Tora's beam art coming from and how are the damage numbers so high?
It is one of qt pie's skill upgrades called critical restore. Every time tora crits, he will he heal back 10% of the damage. For the other characters, they use an avant guarde medal which is the same but as an accessory.

Tora can Topple too. In fact he can do combo on his own. Doesn't need rex. But how does Rex miss it so much then? ! Break is enough for 5-6 Topples from Rex before Break actually runs out. With Mythra equipped, Rex can spam Topple non stop.
Equip an accessory that will increase dexterity. Rex is known to have terrible accuracy. Also equip an accessory on him that will increase his topple duration. Hope this helps.
He said moon matter for QTpi. I dont know if the chips on alpha and QT necessarily matter all that much, I dont believe it effects QTpi's damage output

As an idea for a new video line instead of focusing as much on the blades how about more on how to set up the drivers? For example building a Morag tank or dps, how to use rex as a healer, nia as a dps or Zeke as a tank/healer. Some of it may seem basic but for people that just started NG+ or don't get yet have a certain blade or, like me, just don't like using a certain character for whatever reason, this information could expand their game. There's a lot of information on how to make blade X broken but not that much on the drivers and what blades work best with them. At least not much I found, I don't know just a thought.
The equipment for the drivers almost entirely depends on the blades which is why there isn't really a way to make drivers themselves broken specifically. The best I could do would be a weapons showcase and why certain weapons are used on certain drivers
After looking at it, I'm not a fan. I don't think the black looks good with the white (apparently there's a reason she wears white, but if it's in the base game, I doubt remember and if it's in Torna, then I'm not far enough in), there's a reason she and Pyra wear skimpy outfits (they cover each other's faults, literally; remember how Pyra has cutouts on her hips but Mythra doesn't and how Mythra shows cleavage while Pyra doesn't, it's the reason SPOILER that Pnuema shows very little skin (admittedly an odd reason and choice of symbolism, but it's cool and my mind was blown when I found out (Tetsuya Takahashi apparently said this in an interview))), Pyra and the other Blades and other people in general aren't censored in Smash, and after spending so much time with Mythra, this design doesn't sit well with me and stick in my mind as her outfit. That was way longer than I intended. I don't know, maybe I'm complaining just to complain. I'm against censorship in general, and this is one of my favourite characters in one of my favourite games being changed (it feels especially weird after Sakurai complaining about having to censor Palutena and trophies like Lyn and Viewtiful Joe's girlfriend (I don't remember her name) in Japan and nearly having to delay the game because of it). TLDR: I'm not okay with it.
Not like getting QTPi , maxing her out and taking her to S10 rank is any easy in any way shape or form .. This is truly END GAME stuff. OP is what she should be at this point

To farm Love Source you need to pay for the DLC and have it installed AND actually know that Love Sources give 3000 trust/bond (which I didn't know even after 150 hours of gameplay) To max QTPi very hard NODE requirements takes another 40 - 50 hours? You guys make two mistakes when you think about other players being OP with QTPi. 1. New players don't have any experience with the game at all and don't know anything about the game. 2. Not everyone searches on google or youtube for answers. People like to play games and figure it out on their own. Getting QTPi, maxing her out, takes a lot more than 100 hours and requires you to finish the game. You should be glad that she becomes OP as it gives players more options to keep playing the game after it's long finished. Most people I know in RL or in my Switch friend list either give up around chapter 3-4 cause they got no clue how combat works, or have finished the game and stopped playing without even knowing they can unlock the third form for poppi or didn't even bother to farm the materials to unlock her.
The person showing this guide has thousands of hours played in this game. That's why he knows all of this and is telling you all of this. New or casual players would never have this info, gear and stats, and their poppi would never be as strong as the one in the video. Unless they put hundreds of hours in the game as well. In which case why not let them enjoy an OP poppi? Because you can always lower your level in new game + and because BRINGER OF CHAOS difficulty exists, I don't see any of this being a problem. You try playing NG+ from lvl 1 on Bringer of Chaos with your OP poppi and tell me how many hours it takes for you to finish the game.

Nice job replacing the Saber attachment with something with a much greater damage boost, but you can get the same damage increase for all attacks and not just criticals from a legendary male loincloth and Challenge mode made an even stronger loin Clothe with +75% damage in its common form. I do like that you are using the skill slots on the other poppi forms to maximize damage potential. Muscle Mods, Strength mods and luck mods all help out a lot. I may not agree with all of your choices but this is a much much much better guide than your last poppi guide.
You are partially right, but mainly wrong. Here is why. The damage formula can demonstrate why. It has a lot of unneeded parts though that don't affect this calculation. We will remove them. For us, we are left with: [everything] * 1 + additives * ( 1 + critical power * critical chance ). Consider the following cases: 1) Base S rank Qtpi. Tora with no accessories, qtpi with a fully unlocked chart. Using an art a) Loincloth [everything] * 1+160% * (1+(0.25)*52%) = overall avg increase of 180.8% b) Crimson Headband [everything] * 1+100% * (1+(0.25+0.6)*52%) = overall avg increase of 144.2% In this (very rare and unlikely) scenario, you are correct, using a Loincloth will be a better overall damage increase. However; 2) Base S rank Qtpi. Tora with no accessories, qtpi with a fully unlocked chart. We look at qtpis multiple aux slots, or at Tora's other accessory slots. We decide to add a bunch of aux cores to increase our damage - Challenger V (80%), and Front Attack Plus IV (40%). Our extra additive is 120%. a) Loincloth [everything] * 1+280% * (1+(0.25)*52%) = overall avg increase of 316.4% b) Crimson Headband [everything] * 1+220% * (1+(0.25+0.6)*52%) = overall avg increase of 317.24% Suddenly the Crimson Headband is the better choice! And we haven't even used all of QTPIs slots or added any other accessories onto Tora! (If you were interested, 217% additive seems to be the point where using a Crimson Headband becomes better than using a Loincloth). QTPi has soooo many slots though, and if you build toward dealing damage, you will end up with a bunch of additives (more than 217%) very easily, and then using Crimson Headband and Pinpoint Weakness becomes better. So in all, the Crimson Headband is the overall better choice for the majority of damage dealing builds for Qtpi.
The above calculations assumed the Saber of Banishing (which is her best choice in general, excluding certain chain attack builds/Fiora teams). Additionally, if she uses specials, the crit mod kicks in, and that 52% crit chance (which I used base 40% *130% max affinity) is raised further, averaging even more crit hits.
If you wanted to do the same calc using the better Loincloth (85%), then once you reach 308% additive (again pretty easy now with so many aux slots and new accs like Abyss Masque), the crit dmg boost will be better on average. Same as above applies, these calcs are just for arts usage. Using specials will boost the overall avg dmg increase from crimson headband further.
Gotta give Tora props, his hard work and dedication earned him a Blade that rivals even the Aegis in power.

no Aux cores because the Poppi forms can't use them but he did show the skill rams that he was using on them.
The only poppi that can use aux cores isn't even poppi but a robot controlled by her

a) Loincloth
[everything] * 1+160% * (1+(0.25)*52%) = overall avg increase of 180.8%
b) Crimson Headband
[everything] * 1+100% * (1+(0.25+0.6)*52%) = overall avg increase of 144.2%
In this (very rare and unlikely) scenario, you are correct, using a Loincloth will be a better overall damage increase.
However;
2) Base S rank Qtpi. Tora with no accessories, qtpi with a fully unlocked chart. We look at qtpis multiple aux slots, or at Tora's other accessory slots. We decide to add a bunch of aux cores to increase our damage - Challenger V (80%), and Front Attack Plus IV (40%). Our extra additive is 120%.
a) Loincloth
[everything] * 1+280% * (1+(0.25)*52%) = overall avg increase of 316.4%
b) Crimson Headband
[everything] * 1+220% * (1+(0.25+0.6)*52%) = overall avg increase of 317.24%
Suddenly the Crimson Headband is the better choice! And we haven't even used all of QTPIs slots or added any other accessories onto Tora! (If you were interested, 217% additive seems to be the point where using a Crimson Headband becomes better than using a Loincloth).
QTPi has soooo many slots though, and if you build toward dealing damage, you will end up with a bunch of additives (more than 217%) very easily, and then using Crimson Headband and Pinpoint Weakness becomes better. So in all, the Crimson Headband is the overall better choice for the majority of damage dealing builds for Qtpi.
The above calculations assumed the Saber of Banishing (which is her best choice in general, excluding certain chain attack builds/Fiora teams). Additionally, if she uses specials, the crit mod kicks in, and that 52% crit chance (which I used base 40% *130% max affinity) is raised further, averaging even more crit hits.
If you wanted to do the same calc using the better Loincloth (85%), then once you reach 308% additive (again pretty easy now with so many aux slots and new accs like Abyss Masque), the crit dmg boost will be better on average. Same as above applies, these calcs are just for arts usage. Using specials will boost the overall avg dmg increase from crimson headband further.
