Been using the g82 for a week now. It doesn't wow you, but it gets the basics right. The other Chinese phones might have more of a wow factor, but they miss on the basics of a smartphone, call issues, ui issues, etc. For a casual, no nonsense user, this is one of the best options out there. If the g82 was priced under 20k, it could've wiped the competition.

Used kachra UI on Redmi Note 10 Pro Max for a year. I am delighted that I made the switch to this phone. Most of the other Chinese companies push updates for the namesake and major bugs along with it. These "skinned" UI phones run buttery smooth for the 3-4 months and once the review period is over, OEMs push bugs to make users switch to their new phone. Good that it's not the same with Motorola.

Watching this on the G82. Bought the 6GB variant for 21,499 from Flipkart, mainly because I am not a heavy user and wanted the combination of an OLED screen along with a headphone jack and good battery life.
Most of the pros I have noticed so far Ranjit sir already covered in the video, so will skip over those.
Have forced the phone to 120 Hz and so far, I have not noticed any major stutters or lags. The only time I did see a small stutter was when I had around fifteen apps open at the same time and I pulled down the notification shade. I'm a bit apprehensive to hear that you faced this issue Ranjit sir, thankfully it has not shown up on my unit (yet).
One area where I was slightly disappointed was actually the battery life, mainly because I was previously using the Samsung M30s. That thing simply had the best battery I have ever seen so this feels like a little bit of a downgrade on that front. However, the charging speed is much, much faster, which offsets the problem I guess. Actually, it's so much faster that it makes more sense for me to plug it in when I wake up in the morning rather than charge it all night. By the time I need to use the phone, it's at 100% - so thankfully that has worked out well.
Sir your assessment of the camera was spot on. 6 out of 10 times, it will give a decent shot that only needs some tweaking in the editor. But the other four times, it spits out hot garbage. It has a tendency to blow out images, especially the sky. If you ever click a picture with a cloudy background, then you must give up all hope of retaining any details in the sky. Indoor shots with good lighting generally perform better. Overall, I'm fine with the camera as it has given some really good pictures. This is another front that I feel the M30s was superior (but those are probably the only two areas where it was).
However, the BIGGEST issue I have faced so far is one that I don't think any reviewer has mentioned, and one that 99% of the people buying this phone will continue to face for some time. I'm talking about phone accessories like case covers, screen protectors etc. Till now, I have been forced to use the cover that Motorola provided in the box. When I went on the net to look for the above two, I simply could not find any decent cover that gave me any hope of the phone surviving a fall. Same for the screen protector. Ended up buying one protector that looked the most promising, but it turned out to be a flimsy plastic one. Finally I had to go to a mobile store (not a Moto store) near where I live, hoping they would have something. Nope. Not a single one. Eventually I asked the guy at the store to put on a protector that mostly matched the dimensions of the phone. It was too big, which led to him having to shave off the inside edge of the Moto cover just so that it would fit. I now have a phone with a chafed cover and a protector that has air bubbles at the corners.
Safe to say, it's not a pretty look.
(And keep in mind this is in Mumbai. If this is the situation here then I don't have hope for other places.)
After that entire comedy of errors, I'm really hoping the third party accessory market will start making stuff for this phone because apart from those issues, it's been a wonderful experience. This is my first time on Android 12, and the Pixel-like vibe is amazing. I have no complaints on that front, and I'll be fine with only receiving the Android 13 update as long as it doesn't negatively affect the phone.
As always, an excellent review Ranjit sir. Thanks for all your work. The beard looks cool.

I really liked this device, but you are right. They should have provided 90hz option. Infact, a 90hz (8 bit) screen was better option considering SD695.
But I am not obsessed with software updates. Upgrading from Android 9 to 12, I don't remember any feature in later android's which is super helpful to me. And the fact that most developers support atleast last 4-5 Android, so it's fine. Security updates are important which they are giving for 3 years (4 would be better).
RE SD695 , I sort of refrain from buying MTK devices because of their lack of custom rom support. Sure, I don't need custom rom, but if the brand starts pushing stupid updates (Oneplus) , then you wish to have the ability to install a custom rom. Unfortunately, there is nothing in between SD695 & SD778.

There's no more remarkable "innovation" in the sector, companies have reached the saturation point. So, they are ruining mid range phones to justify high prices of flagship devices.
This downgrade is quite evident across the companies.
Also, in the name of 5G tech, companies are simply fooling the users. Telecom ind experts have stated that 5G services would be like premium services and ordinary users might not be able to afford it for quite a few years. So, adding 5G to these phones is just useless.

Hi, in accessibility menu there's short cut button which you can slide, then you can see a new icon on your navigation button area. Just tap on that icon and press the off button to off your screen. This way you can avoid pressing the power button to off. Hope it helps.

At first I thought it's a good thing to have so many 5 g bands, but having extra bands is just a waste if they are not used. Ultimately buyers are paying for it.
Moto could have decreased the number of bands and maybe invested in a better feature. 5-7 bands of 5-g are enough I guess...😐

I think so we have crossed that zone of powerfull chipset thing, most of the chips can get the work done easily. I think so MOTO is in the right direction at breaking the pattern of new chips, new model again and again. For the software update segment I think so rather than crippling the phone by providing buggy updates by so called chinese and Samsung, MOTO gives less updates but doesn't cripple the phone on it's own .
