Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I'm more of a food-travel vlogger, but then I realised there is so much good stuff happening in my home that's worth sharing sometimes 😁
Everything looks so colourful and vibrant. I would love to be sitting around an Italian table eating authentic Italian food. It all looked delicious. Heres to your next video.
Wow! I know you said this episode was coming up but I had no idea how wonderful it would be. Love the risotto and cannelloni. I think Mama was right about the crepes. It is a nice change from pasta. We sometimes fill crepes with a chicken pot pie mixture. Please thank your mama for allowing us to share in her wonderful cooking and congratulations to your brother, Matteo, on his new book. Maybe he will write one of your mother's recipes? It is always hard to pick a favourite video of yours but this is definitely top ten (and number one in our hearts). Thank you for an amazing video and please thank your family for sharing their home with all of us.
Thanks for your comment Greg, I will share it with my family! Crepes are indeed very versatile and faster to make than pasta dough for sure. Also I think a book about recipes is not a bad idea at all actually!
Mmm everything looks so delicious, i would love to be sitting around that table right now! it brings back fantastic memories, as this is how it used to be here, we all took our turns helping out inside & outside the House, also stocking up our Rayburn with wood/coal for heat, hot water, & for cooking, we always sat together around the table for our meals too. Gosh, I really miss these days! Tell your Dear mother that it’s “very obvious” that she would never use any imported food such as rice,😂 You can just tell, especially seeing her making that delicious pasta & crepes, she’s a very proud & practical lady that would always use ingredients from her own garden, and/or local produce! Great video! Thanks you so much as always for sharing with us. With lots of love to you all. From Aberdeenshire Scotland ❤🤗xx
🤣 Wonder what she’d make of Asian rice cookers. Such a complementary series to your Asian food adventures - really helps viewers understand where you are coming from!
Thanks for your comment Eric! Risotto takes a bit of time to make, especially if you wanna prepare your own chicken stock, but it really is a wonderful dish!
I can’t believe in this day & age people still think China represents all of Asia, even on the topic of rice. Imagine if someone called an Italian grown product “from France”, there would be an outrage!
We're to take in the beauty of his country, food, and culture- Not your complaints. Beyond that, for the most part, China does represent Asia. Now remember, buy American lol.
This is the first video of i have seen of your home and family. Very nice and calming to watch. Thanks for sharing, Dan.

Thanks for the idea, I might gift her one and see what happens 😂
Inspiring food and people at the table. Makes me want to make some risotto myself.

@@DanFandelli Always home made chicken stock in my freezer, if not fresh. Huge difference in any meal. Stir, stir, stir on the Risotto!
Fantastic 🤌❤
Thank you!
Nice vid old bean
Looks amazing!
Thanks for watching!
✨Authentic Vibes
Thank you!
The machine to make the pasta is called a chitarra, I have one, they are made in Abruzzo.
Oh chitarra means guitar, now that makes sense, thanks for the info!
Mamma Mia, what delicious looking food! Sigh….
It was indeed very delicious, thanks for watching!
Italians have beans in extra virgin olive oil on bread … British have beans on toast. 😜
ahah fair enough, British fried bread with beans is top!

I think it was just banter from her, as she knows I have a soft spot for Asian food, and the first Country that came to her mind was China
