What an interesting and innovative way to represent something that is so much more interesting than those dry talking head supercuts. That's a sub, very impressed.
I really hope he doesn't quit filmmaking, but after his screenwriting, doing Dredd, Ex Machina, Annihilation, Devs (the gold colors in that show, and the brutalist greys of the edifice of the company, or the landscapes of the SF Bay... unreal!!), Men, and Civil War is an unbelievable track record for the future history of cinema.
I think an auditory breakdown would be incredible about his sound design, editing, and mixing. He works with Portishead's Geoff Barrow and his partner Ben Salisbury in crafting superb and alien soundscapes that become a character within the film.
I'm in a good place to not act spoiled, although I do hope he is just a tired and burnt out creative. I want more from him, but if he stops, I'll just thank him for making some of my favorite films of the modern era, along with Eggers, Aster, Brandon Cronenberg, and the like.
The colours & his lead women are the main attraction for me in his films. All great story's too
