I've seen this movie I don't know how many times, and yet, I always cry when the dad turns, and I must say that the little girl deserves an Oscar for her acting! I suggest you watch and react to #Alive, in which the events, according to Korean fandom, happen at the same time as the ones in Train to Busan. Keep up your clever comments! :)
They're actually not related. The only related films to TtB are Seoul Station and Pennisula (plus Train to New York but that's been in development for ages so no one knows if it'll actually come out)!
When "Parasite" was in the theaters, RUclips recommended "Train To Busan." I had seen other South Korean movies, so I thought I was ready. The roller coaster ride through Fear/Dread/Anger/Sorrow left me emotionally drained. Kudos to the writer(s), director(s), actors, and, especially, the stunt performers for creating a Modern Classic.
The scene where the granny died, she sacrificed herself so they could close the door. That scene was in slow motion. It was more than one step away and she's very slow. I suspect she didn't really want to live in this kind of world and reasoned sacrificing herself to slow the zombies down so they could close the door would at least make her death useful. Up until that point the zombies were far too fast for the doors to be shut properly when they were as close as those ones were. if she hadn't stayed there, they wouldn't have been able to both get granny inside and shut the door.
I reckoned that the only reason she survived upto that point was to make sure her sister was alive. She found out that her sister was okay, hence she had no reason to push on anymore
Definitely one of the best zombie movies ever. I wish filmmakers would take note: Have a great script, great actors and character development. Don't just make a video game where everyone dies.
Because it's more than a basic zombie survival film. It's the story of a dad becoming a father and taking care of his neglected daughter with examples of what he could be. The hero big guy is what he is supposed to be and he starts off where his boss is. They are the examples of who he is and can be. It's super deep when u watch it like that.
Keep in mind that it was a VERY early morning train. It was still dark when they boarded. Most of those people that first girl is limping past are likely asleep like the little girl's father and those that aren't probably have some kind of headphones in listening to music and looking out the window. I doubt anyone was even paying attention to the aisle at all. I don't know if that first girl was being selfish more than she was just running away from whatever chaos erupted around her during which she got bit. She knows someone bit her but she doesn't really know what's happening and that she'll be the one biting people soon. This is at the very beginning when no one is really thinking "zombie." Even the guy that we all love to hate said people were going "rabid" at the start. Most people, especially those outside of the zombie movie culture that is so prevalent in the Western world, aren't going to think "zombie" when they see someone going crazy.
yoooooo..... been harvesting yearly tears lately with this train to busan reactions, and coincidentally this guys uploaded one as i search for reactions see you guys, next year? or when ya'll think of watching this movie again...
20:47 it has a shade for their government relating to the incident of the 2014 Saewol Ferry tragedy that costs more or less 300 people's lives including and most victims were high school students, the higher-ups did all their best just to cover-up their dirty deeds
@@tlstk Maybe the accident itself wasn't the governments fault, but they definitely could have done more to rescue people. The government also shouldn't have tried to cover it up.
No joke, I’ve teared up every time I watch a reaction of this movie (watching it on my own had me sobbing like a baby). The gentle piano music when he rips away from his daughter’s grip and closes the door while she screams for him gets me EVERY time.
Another Korean movie that I recommend - Oldboy (2003) - Parasite (2019) - Memories of Murder (2003) - The Man From Nowhere (2010) - A Tale of two sisters (2003) - The wailing (2016)
The Granny sacrificed herself to give them time. Btw the best zombie movie I have ever watched and I always enjoy reactions to it. The girl did fantastic job and they actually hired the bone breaking dancers (idk the term) to play some of the mobile zombies.
There are a couple reasons why noone aided the attendant when the zombie was on her back and also why noone aided the girl as she was stumbling down the aisle before she turned. The first is, its the norm in that country to mind your own business unless of course its an obvious medical emergency, to many of them she could of appeared as being drunk or on drugs so they would ignore her much like they would ignore the homeless man. The other reason is because fear and shock but also if you saw as the father and daughter were heading to the station it was still dark so it's still really early in the morning alot of the passengars went to sleep once they boarded.
I hate that the old lady sacrificing herself is so misunderstood in every reaction like shit is in slow motion and the zombie going to her takes one second while waiting for her to get up, get in and close door will took more than 10 seconds. Zombies will sprint and get inside if she didnt sacrifice
It's really not his fault this happened. They are fund managers. basically what we call playing the stock market in America. They had bought shares which did fund them but fund managers are not scientists. The Biotech could have shown them anything at all and told them it was something different and harmless and they would have no way of knowing it wasn't the truth. So nah, not their fault.
I was just about to go to bed and then I saw your reaction video to this movie, well I'm going to watch it and cry before I go to bed. Good reaction guys🫶
Next, you should watch Happiness. Zombie dramas....only 12 episodes, but with an ass-kicking heroine (a SWAT member) and a smart-also-could-kick-ass hero (a policeman)... Both hero and heroine have been best friends since high school...so it has a dash of romance....
Not singling you guys out...a lot of people have this same response to these two scenes. first scene-- the infected girl is on the girl attendant's back, attacking her. Everyone watching this scene is screaming, "no one sees this? Somebody help her!" Seconds later in another scene, the pregnant lady tells her husband to help someone being attacked. Everyone watching the movie now screams, "What!? Don't help her! Get away from her!" If you are this confused and inconsistent just watching a zombie attack, how can you truly judge and criticize the actions of the people actually experiencing the attack?
exactly. it's easy to talk and judge but if you're in the same scenario I bet most of these hypocrites will be the same as the rest. It's more like a society problem than the person itself
Normally when i watch reactors to any movie, i always junp to my fav parts. This movie, as soon as the zombies starts i cant skip anything till the end
This is the best Zombie movie I've ever seen!❤ I will suggest these two Zombie Apocalypse series to watch :- All of us are dead & Happiness both are unique and worth watching:)
Nah I don't think you can blame (just) the parents. There's a lot of factors that affect how a person's personality develops as they grow including the environment they grew up in, the people they choose to surround themselves with, etc. We don't even know what his relationship with his parents is like or how much involved they were in raising him. His parents might have been good people who tried their best to raise him and maybe he was rebellious. The point I am trying to make is that everyone is responsible for their own actions and no one deserves to suffer on behalf of another person. He's a grown-ass adult who deserves to shoulder all his sufferings on his own. It's wrong to assume that his parents are the reason he turned out this way. Another Korean movie I would recommend is Forgotten( mystery, thriller).

Train to Busan is my favorite zombie movie of all time. I have to disagree with you on Pennisula though. 😢 I was so excited for it but then watched it and I thought it was pretty awful. Everyone has their own opinions, though!
LOL even better when towards the end they're like "this mf only cares about himself" 😂😂😂 I think a lot of people only register the deeper messages of the movie subconsciously....you don't survive on your own. Everyone who was helped ended up helping others except the one very selfish man who only cared about himself...and in the end he died despite everyone he sacrificed for his own survival. Every one of them would've died several times over if there hadn't been a stranger willing to put themselves at risk to help them.
'Rampant', best zombie series ever! Plus 'Kingdom'. It's intense and interesting. There's 2 parts, you won't be disappointed. After There's 'Ashin of the North' (the beginning of Kingdom), so good! Looking forward 👍
