I have been wanting to start the Lento for ages, and I think I am ready now. Yours looks lovely, I hope you finish it (sooner rather than later). So nice to see you again, Sarah. I am happy that the house is coming together and you are enjoying your home so much now. Just know: a house is never done (as my mother always said). No matter how finished you think it is, there will always be something to do in it or to it. But it is worth it so enjoy! Hope to see you back here soon!!!
Great to see you back again. Always enjoy you humour and love for crafts. I have also a stash of enough wool to last me two retirements, but who can resist the lure of new colours, fiber etc😊
Such a delightful visit with you! Love your yarn purchases too. I have yet to attend any wool festivals…probably a good thing. 😀 I’m 71 and am aware that I need to stop reaching for people who aren’t reaching for me. It’s a journey for sure.
You are hilarious and I missed you so much! So glad you got your place together and that all of the trials and changes are in the rear view mirror. I went through a surgical menopause in my mid 40’s and am here to report that it eventually straightens out, especially with a half mg of extract every day! Don’t worry about what you haven’t crafted, we are just glad you are BACK!❤❤
So glad to see you my Ebony Sister. You may not be very professional according to you, but I so have enjoyed you. Dropping the ball only means that it bounced back in your hands. Yes, you must give yourself grace because GOD gives us Grace whether you believe in Him or not. I missed you so much and I've learned to let people know regardless if they look at me weirdly. Your work is beautifully made. I'm in my 70's and still go through hot flashes...oops didn't mean to tell you that will stay with you as a woman forever. You're not weird at all, but lovingly quirky. Your communication cadence is worthy of novel reading and I can hear all the time. Ms. Jo
Hi Sarah! It’s so nice to have you back. It’s beautiful to hear your are at point you are enjoying your house. So now that there’s no more construction in your way let’s get some fun crafting and showing up here. I enjoy your videos so much, they feel like I’m sitting down listening to a very fun friend to hangout with. Hope to see you soon!
Hi Sarah, good to see you again. Please don’t feel like you need to apologize for not posting. This is not your job, you hopefully do this for your own pleasure and we enjoy it too. Win win. Do I want to see more? Sure but happy to take what I can get. I wish wonderful things for you for the remaining time of 2024 and 2025.
What a wonderful message 🥹 I only post when I feel like it which is why there are such huge gaps. But I also love this community so I’m gonna try my best to post more regularly as a way to engage more with all of you ☺️
Nice to see again! Your top is beautiful - you chose and blended the 2 yarns so seamlessly that I thought it was all one yarn :) So flattering on you. The yarns you showed look so soft and pretty. Take care and hope to see you soon!!!
So happy to see you again. I really enjoy your chatter 😊. I loved the counted cross stitch that you started. I enjoy a “complicated” pattern. I’ll wait patiently for your next podcast. Thanks!😊
Hi from the Uk, glad to see you back. Peri menopause is not nice, what we women have to put up with. Glad you are enjoying your new home. Always enjoy your podcasts, thanks for sharing ❤🧶x oh and your top is lovely,it reminds me also of Monet 😊
So great to see you again! You always make me laugh ( with you) . I love that tank. You did a super job merging the second color and the top fits you perfectly. I always fear the too low armhole or a droopy neck, and bra straps showing and this has none of that.
I'm so glad you're back. I would seriously have never guessed you are in your 40s. You wear it well. Perimenopause and menopause is ... ugh! But what can you do? I'm 56 so I'm here to tell you that you CAN come out the other side intact! I love your tank, and it DOES look like a Monet painting. Beautiful!
Thank for your words of encouragement! I’m hopeful but it’s really kicked into high gear the past two months and I’ve been a bit overwhelmed by the changes I’ve had to make. Looking forward to being on the other side of things!
Hey Lady! Missed you and good to see you. And I just thought about you a few days ago too. I enjoyed your video and yarns that match your natural covering, and projects, your stories and you be making me chuckle. I forgot the house journey you embarked on so MIA is understandable. CONGRATULATIONS! on House journey. Continue to take time for you to be balanced and happy. God would have it NO OTHER WAY. Stayed Blessed in HIS LOVE. I'll be watching!
YAY!!! You are back!!!💚💚💚 I am so happy you are here!!! Interesting! I have been doing counted cross stitch since I was a teenager and I am 62. I do not use a frame or hoop. I just use the fabric untethered. My projects come out fine. Just another alternative. I would also like to encourage you in the fact that in the myriad of x's you misplace a few only you know where they are and no else could ever find them. I learned a long time ago, I am not perfect, therefore what I make is also not going to perfect. Love you and all will be well.💚💚💚😃😃😃
I stumbled across Ali makes everything's top 10 knit podcasts, and her mention of you led me to this video and I'm thrilled- you are a delight, I feel like I'm sitting with a friend as I watch, listen and knit. Please do keep coming back as you're able. 2024 has been a dumpster fire, and knitting and folks like you are what's keeping me a tiny bit sane!
So glad you are back! Found you when I was a total newbie, now I am still newish but with a little more experience. Anyway, you are a delight and it is so nice to watch your channel!
So lovely to see you again. Your energy and joy is infectious. I made a black tolsta tee with merino and matching sequins and it is fab for nights out so think that would work well for your midnight yarn. Look forward to seeing you again soon
Oh it's so lovely to see you again. I'm sorry the year has been so difficult and hope the upswing continues for you. Oooh, that pin! How fun. Yes, it would be adorable on one of my knitting bags. Yeah, we moved in 4 years ago but many things happened and so now I'm finally getting to some of the projects I've waited for , but I'm 72 and can't work as I used to. So now I'm putting them into a virtual hat and choosing which will impact our lives in a positive way the most. Ok, maybe with a side of easy ones first. :D So I'm excited that you got most of yours done and hope it's time to love your home and have FUN.
I have crosstitched for yers and never used a frame of gridded my fabric. I’ve done Large pieces. I find just holding it works better. No problem blocking. I wish I could put a pic in here😩
Omg, late to the party - missed the notification 🫣 - been hoping you'd return. Loved loved loved catching up with you. A breath of fresh air. That skulls bag 🤗. Please dont disappear for so long this time ❤🙏❤❤❤🇬🇧
So. Nice to see you . Love your top I have missed your energy. Happy to hear the house is progressing It can be a challenge. 🦄🧶💗. I love all the yarn colors you are showing I also have discovered that for me, collecting yarn is different from actually making something All too often I’ve bought yarn because it’s beautiful, with no clue what I’m going to do with it 😂❤
This is such an amazing coincidence😯!!! I was just thinking last night that it was a quite a while since you'd released a podcast and how good it would be if you did a new one! I'm so pleased to see you again.
You are such fun to listen to!! I was at WS&W too. Saturday we took an all day class in eco printing. Sunday a half day class in painting with needle felting. Then the afternoon was spent shopping and watching sheep dogs herding. I wish we had run into you. Speaking as a woman who finished with menopause many eons ago but has a daughter who is going through it now i am glad women are more open to talking about it and sharing experiences. I only wish it was taken more seriously in the medical community. I know if men had to go through it there would be a lot more solutions then here, take this pill ; (
Welcome back, so nice to see you again and so happy to hear that your mojo for knitting and crafting is back. This episode really made my day. You made me laugh and have a good time. So thank you! Wish you a lovely September an fall whenever it starts in your town. I live in Sweden and up until now it's been a really warm summer, and the latest two weeks have been too hot to be true. So worrying about the climate crisis and our stupid politicians who makes such horrible decisions just to get more votes (they're obviously not that smart to understand what they actually are doing). Well, well, I'm not going to bore you, but feels acute actually. This week though the fall is finally here. So lovely to be able to start knitting in woolly wool. Your acquisitions looks amazing to your skin tone and I am looking forward to see what you will be making with them. Norwegian is really close to Swedish and what a marvelous thing to do - learn a new language. I myself also like to study languages (am a speech ang language pathologist to profession) and was on Italian classes befor I got sick in ME/CFS. Getting better though so might start again, because I love going to Italy (by train) and planning for a vacation next spring.
We bought our condo a year and a half ago and gosh, it never ends! We still have boxes lying around and the weeds outdoor... I thought gardening would be fun... so many things to do! We're happy, but I feel you, and it makes me feel better to see we might not be the only new home owners who feel a bit overwhelmed! Thank you for your videos, I love them all :)
My mother is an avid young and the restless watcher. I remember some plots of it more than I remember my own childhood. It is based in Genoa city, and even as a Canadian I was shocked it was set there.
As someone who also fans aspirations for the year that went all to hell, I want to share one of my favorite quotes “Life is about how you handle Plan B”. It reminds me that so many of my Plans A have been abandoned or failed, and I’m still in a good place with people I love and hope for the future. Also, as for being surprised that people watch your videos, I can only speak to why I watch them. I don’t always have time to craft, and I do a lot of different kinds, so watching your videos is very fun, because I get to vicariously experience your clearly abundant enthusiasm, and when life is so busy I can’t get into my craft room, it helps me feel connected to that part of me. Keep on. 10/10. Never change ❤
So great to see you Sarah - always happy to watch whenever you have a spare moment. I agree with you about the Lento. Such a boring knit - it took ages to finish but I’ve worn it heaps because it’s a good fit and feels so nice on. I’ve started another one 😂 Look after yourself 💕
Welcome back! Cross-stitch has come a LONG way since the 90s, for real. I literally always grid my pieces (because I like a big piece), and I just use sewing thread in red for vertical and turquoise for horizontal. That scene with boats is mind-blowing; it looks like a photograph! Keep going, because I wanna see it!
Dang, I love the idea of two colors for gridding… I’m trying to resist the urge to start over even more now 🤣🤣 These full coverage designs are so impressive but very time consuming. Once my stand is set up, I’m hoping to pick up speed a bit!
First off, wonderful to see you! Then, you will get through it. I have no problem with the planes, it reminds me of my childhood, so that was fun for me. Oh right, I forgot the ranunculus thing was still going on. It's okay though, I finally made my first one, but then, you know, I understand now why people have so many of these. So what I just realized is I could drive to Wisconsin in the same amount of time as it would take for me to drive in-state (Texas) to the fiber festivals, here. Hmmmm.
@@theblacksheepknitter I double checked. It's 746 miles to Houston, but 1428 to Madison, so twice as far, but I've made that trip several times to places in both North and South Dakota...and once to Seattle, so I'm sure it's something I could do.
Yay! I am always so excited to see your lovely face! Jeg lærer norsk på duolingo. Jeg liker KEiiNO normalt. (KEiiNO is a Norwegian singing/joiking group who should've won Eurovision 2019 with their song Spirit in the Sky). It makes sense that Norwegian pulls from pretty much every European language family - they were after all famous for sailing around and meeting new people *cough*
I have been working on a cross stitch to hang on the wall for 7 years 😂😂. I had the exact same moment of….oh this is not the same as doing my little hoop kits. I tried a few ways of holding it and ended up with a floor/table stand but it’s so bulky I can’t keep it out and then don’t work on it. It’s also too small and gives me headaches to work on it. But you are inspiring me to bust it out again and finally be able to hang some handmade art. This summer I also started a paint by numbers…highly recommend if you want some hand painted art too!
Hello! So good to see you. I spotted you at WSWF Saturday, I agree - it is such an enjoyable show and experience (I actually “won” 2 prizes at the auction!). Northern Bee Studio is one of my favorite booths. You and I are in the same Lento spot, it’s not the most exciting knitting but the finished item will be worth it 👍🏽. I saw your IG posts of the chicken blocks for your quilt - I hope you’re happy with the outcome, they looked amazing! Congratulations on settling into your new home. Welcome back!
Aww, feel free to say hi next time! I’m a weirdo but nice 🤣 Hurray for auction prizes 🙌🏿 I love how the chicken quilt is coming along but I’m many months behind so gotta have a quilting marathon one of these weekends when I don’t have anything going on 🙃 Thanks for watching!
You always say you are “ A Lot”…so, I think well, she must just be my brand of crazy then, cuz I get such joy and fun catching up w you, your escapades, shenanigans, etc! Super congrats on the 95%! Sometimes u just gotta drop everything and adult for several months running; now u can mix n match again ;). TEAM MKAL OR BUST lol I didn’t do geogradient cuz twists n turns was in time out still, but it’s done now, so bring it! Much love!
Oh, it took me more than a year to realize my weird warm spells and my inability to sleep was perimenopause. It is so odd how we aren't warned what to look out for. I was so happy to see a new episode from you! And just ordered a black sheep pin.
Oh, and I'm with you; I hate Q-snaps for stitching. I use birch hoops because they make me happy in a sensory way, and I have a metal Lowery workstand to hold it so I can stitch with both hands.
Oh no! That must have been so annoying :( I’m glad we live at a time where women are starting to talk about this stuff openly but it’s still not enough! I hope you like the pin 🐑
there’s also a city on western Wisconsin near the river Mississippi that is a Swiss colony of sorts. I can’t remember the name of it but apparently it’s all Swiss population and I had a friend from burn come and visit me and she found relatives there so it’s not very big and there I know they’re famous for theirlace there which I thought was Belgian, but check it out
I hope you are really back. You were one of my absolute favorites podcasters!
So glad that you are back podcasting. What a delight I had listening to you while I knit tonight. You have been missed.

Amazing that we don’t all learn Ross as kids, but it’s never too late! And I’d recommend at least one yarn festival if just to see the sheep ☺️
You are hilarious and I missed you so much! So glad you got your place together and that all of the trials and changes are in the rear view mirror. I was so delighted to see your face show up in my notifications that I squealed out loud! ❤
Your blue yak yarn…make a small blanket!! It is perfect with your water theme.
So so so so so happy you're back, Sarah!!!!!!!
Happy to see another video from you. You are such a delight. ❤
So happy to see you back!
I'm knitting the Bliss Tank right now, what a coincidence! It's such a lovely pattern, really flowy fabric.

I love your transparency. My favorite kind of people. Just found you. Loved the podcast.
Welcome back. You were missed!😁

Hey! Good to see you back! For your tank and the hem rolling- you could pick up the stitches and do an applied icord. That would stop the rolling!
That's a great idea! 🙌🏿🙌🏿
Nice to see you again. You have been missed!!
Thank you for another fun video. I love hearing about your projects and what is going on in your life.
Hooray, you're back! ❤
Omg, late to the party - missed the notification 🫣 - been hoping you'd return. Loved loved loved catching up with you. A breath of fresh air. That skulls bag 🤗. Please dont disappear for so long this time ❤🙏❤❤❤🇬🇧

The fates were against me but I made it! Thanks for sticking around ☺️
I'm sorry about the hard year, but I'm glad that you're back. If someday you want to learn Portuguese and need someone to talk, here I'm!
Alas, I spent two summers excavating in Marco de Canaveses about 10 years ago but my Portuguese never got to even a passable level :(
You are such fun to listen to!! I was at WS&W too. Saturday we took an all day class in eco printing. Sunday a half day class in painting with needle felting. I so enjoyed stitching with you today.
So glad you’re back . Missed you ! I love how you can laugh at yourself. You are a joy to watch .
Your tank is GORGEOUS!!!!❤❤ so happy you’re back! 😁😁
Great having your back. I'll be keeping an eye out for that 'black' cardigan 🖤
Thanks! Now I have to make it, right? 🤣
I love your sense of humor and style.😊
Thank you for embracing the chaotic energy 🤣🙏🏿
Hoooray!! I've missed you! Was just watching James Watts the other day and he mentioned you 🥰
Thank you for watching!! I’m super behind in podcasts but I just started watching his latest today. Still bummed I didn’t stalk him properly 🤣🤣
Really great to see you ❤ !!!

It’s so much work! People warned me but I didn’t listen 🤣 Good luck to you on getting things organized 🙏🏿
The color of the sweater looks so well with the baskets in your background! So glad to see you back!!!
It was so nice to meet you. I’m glad we got the chance to talk. 😊
Your Lento will be gorgeous and you are SO close to finishing it! Just do it!
Love your sense of humor! Enjoy your knitting & crafting!
I love your vibe! I was laughing while you were laughing, but I feel like we should be in a room together sharing the laugh!! Happy making! 💜💜

So good to see you again! What a fun episode. Wishing you all good things (and extra time to podcast!) ❤
Welcome back! It’s a delight to see and hear you. ❤
You just made my week! What a delight this video is 😍
So great to see you Sarah - always happy to watch whenever you have a spare moment. I agree with you about the Lento. Such a boring knit - it took ages to finish but I’ve worn it heaps because it’s a good fit and feels so nice on. I’ve started another one 😂

So glad you are back for an episode! We will take any and all episodes you produce!
Thank you!! I appreciate you spending time with my silly brain ☺️
Hi Sarah, I watch from NW Montana. So good to see you back. Congratulations on your new home! I'm looking forward to seeing you more often!
Sarah! Flowers and orange and skulls! Oh my! 😍
I rewound to show Ewan 😂
I am, indeed, watching 😂🧡 xx
I wish I'd unpacked it last year so you could have got one 😭
First off, wonderful to see you! Then, you will get through it.
I have no problem with the planes, it reminds me of my childhood, so that was fun for me.
Oh right, I forgot the ranunculus thing was still going on. It's okay though, I finally made my first one, but then, you know, I understand now why people have so many of these.
So what I just realized is I could drive to Wisconsin in the same amount of time as it would take for me to drive in-state (Texas) to the fiber festivals, here. Hmmmm.
Really?? Texas geography continues to perplex me 🤣 But I highly recommend WI Sheep and Wool next year!
@@theblacksheepknitter I double checked. It's 746 miles to Houston, but 1428 to Madison, so twice as far, but I've made that trip several times to places in both North and South Dakota...and once to Seattle, so I'm sure it's something I could do.
Crayola washable markers from a Drugstore (to make your grid on your embroidery)
It was good to see your happy and exuberant self again enjoy your projects😊
Thank you so much!
Great to see you again. House and yard sounds lovely. You didn’t drop anything just picked up a lot with getting your new home in order.
I love this perspective! It’s all about how we frame things. Thank you for that 🙏🏿
Yay- good to see you!
You have made my day!!!!!! I love your energy..... and that black sheep pin is amazing will be ordering one soon
Aww, thank you! I hope you love the pin as much as I do!
Yay! Glad to see you back!
Thanks for coming back to watch 🙏🏿
@@theblacksheepknitter you’re welcome! You crack me up! Hope your home and your health will level out soon 😊
You were missed!🤗😍💛 and I would never believe you were over 35! Lol😊
🤗
You are a delight! Nice to see you again!
Thank you! 😊
I'm so glad you're back! Really missed you and your vlog.
Thanks for coming back to my little world of crafts ☺️
Great to see you back!
Thank you! We should plan an outing before it gets too cold to sit outside!
The way I raced to RUclips when I saw your IG post
Aww, thank you 🥰

Elephant in the room...your hair! Are you starting a loc journey?
You always say you are “ A Lot”…so, I think well, she must just be my brand of crazy then, cuz I get such joy and fun catching up w you, your escapades, shenanigans, etc! Super congrats on the 95%! Sometimes u just gotta drop everything and adult for several months running; now u can mix n match again ;). TEAM MKAL OR BUST lol I didn’t do geogradient cuz twists n turns was in time out still, but it’s done now, so bring it! Much love!
This is such a lovely comment!! Thank you 🙏🏿 I’m a nutter for sure but I’m finding my tribe 🤣 Have you picked your yarns for the MKAL yet??
@@theblacksheepknitter oh yes lol they’re caked up and ready for launch…T-minus 3 weeks
I hope you like the pin 🐑
looooove the thistle ridge two-toned yarn
Isn’t it beautiful! So many talented artisans in this world 🥰
I was in Madison back in June for work and I stopped by the Sow’s Ear because I remember you saying it was a nice yarn store!
Woohoo! I hope you had food! So many great sandwiches and drinks in addition to the wonderful yarn selection!
there’s also a city on western Wisconsin near the river Mississippi that is a Swiss colony of sorts. I can’t remember the name of it but apparently it’s all Swiss population and I had a friend from burn come and visit me and she found relatives there so it’s not very big and there I know they’re famous for theirlace there which I thought was Belgian, but check it out
