I reverted to Islam 8 years ago and looked for a decent country to which I could make Hijrah, unfortunately I tried Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey but they made it impossible so I am now in a South Asian country that is not Islamic.
SubhanAllah, what an amazing story! I became Muslim in Tulsa while the sheikh was the Imam there and attended the old masjid (church). It was an amazing time of my life. Then met my husband at the Muslim Arab Youth Conference, that I had no idea he had started. He doesnt know me, but SubhanAllah, because of his foresight and determination to build these institutions, and the guidance of Allah, I have been Muslim now over 35 years! And was blessed to work in Islamic education for 30 years. I am only one life of thousands that benefitted from what he built in America and was inspired by his khutbahs and lectures. May Allah bless sheikh Tariq with a lasting legacy as a pioneer of Islam in the west, and bless him and his family with everything good in this life and the next, Ameen.
In my home country, Bangladesh, the people suffers from a religious sickness, they suffer from ignorance & misunderstanding, and they have grown arrogant in their ignorance & misunderstanding. I grew distant from Islam seeing the people who represent it to be among the worst of the people. May Allah forgive me for that. But I only found my faith after coming to a western nation where I see Islam being blatantly lied about and misrepresented everyday. With Muslims dehumanized and oppressed, without opposition without any accountability. This is what truly motivated me to seek out the truth, study & research and Alhamdulillah it has brought me back to the right path & Allah guided me back to the truth. May Allah keep all of our Iman strong and guide the ones that are lost back to the straight path.

bRuh same situation here, unfortunately sub-continent is filled with this disease of hinduism & certain cultural factors. Here in Pakistan the day to day people we face are absolutely horrible, they've made joke out of the religion. Although they don't claim themselves atheists but their actions are as follows. There are groups that throw Quranic papers intentionally on the floor with some chemical on it, as soon as someone picks it up & kisses it, boom they're gone to sleep. I was lucky to be able to meet Shaykh Dr Tareq al-Sweidan when he was pursuing his PhD at the University of Tulsa while I was doing my undergraduate there from 1989-1991.
I had lived in tulsa 20yrs. ..and seen the growth of masjid salaam. Heard about the shaik..from brothers who were involved in establishing the community in early 80s. May Allah reward all the brothers. Dr. Suwaidaan might know our beloved shaik Ibrahim (rahmatullah) very well.
The original masjid was located close to the university. I studied there from 1989 to 1991 and had a chance to meet Shaykh Dr Tareq al-Sweidan. He and Shaykh Nabil of Syria normally gave the Friday khutbah though few other students also did it as well.
I love this Shaykh. I met him once in Tulsa Oklahoma in mid 80's. I've never heard of him those days but many students knew him and they traveled long distances to attend his lectures on weekends. When i listened to him i got hooked he has close to heart style, great guy May Allah bless him

Being to yourself is not called lonely. We choose to stay to ourselves. They can call it whatever but I know there’s always angles surrounding me and I have allah..I don’t understand why they would say we are lonely. It’s called being peaceful😭 and we are not putting our faith in jeopardy ofc
Dr. Suwaidain speaking truthfully. Kuwait is freedom loving society in all aspects of social fabric from meena Az- Zoor to meena As-Sabahiya. I happened to start my family life in Kuwait from 1999 - 2017 with five Kids all born in Kuwait. Associated with Tableeq Markaz Subhan in Kuwait from Markaz Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi. Very thankful with heart to Almighty Allah Subhanahuta'ala for everything He bestowed upon me through staying in Kuwait 18 years.
Alhamdulliah. You are a gifted human from Allah swt ! We still have the same struggle with our children when they go to American school! Allah swt protect them from any kind of evil ! But we need to be grateful about that opportunity as we get our education in USA and it makes us who we are eventually by the will of Allah swt . Without that opportunity you would not have been able to do those great things for Arab people! I completely agree with you about western culture but sometimes we have to appreciate the place and system where we build our best self in Sha Allah.
Thank you for bringing such an amazing figure in our modern society at your podcast. I found it very useful. However I would like to request that you podcasters should come up with some good questions .. just saying Masha'ALLAH and ALLAH hukabar in the middle as fillers is not enough to engage audiences and make the channel grow ... Learn to ask better question .. it's never the answers it always the questions that will drive audience. Hope that u will take this positively
Subhanallah. What a beautiful story of the masjid project and what a sadaqatul jariya. May Allah accept it and preserve the masjid till the Final Hour.
Brother, when your guest is talking please be quiet as the interviewer. Active listening and saying takbir every 20 seconds is very distracting in a podcast format for the listener. Podcasts are for the listener, you are simply the facilitators. Be quiet as a mouse when they are answering.

SubhanAllah. Living in KSA from my childhood. They always demonize this blessed man. I didn’t start really listening to him till recently! Alhamdulillah I grew out of that crazy nationalist rhetoric and learned much knowledge
Why did they demonize him? Saudis are their brothers..,,no?
Yalla It's good for you to get back to Muslim thinkers unlike some Saudis who went against every Muslim intellectual men
@@Corpsman95It's politics cause that guy supported Muslim brotherhood party and criticize all of the GCC governments
@@أحمد-ث4ه4دyalla ya zalama! ❤
@@أحمد-ث4ه4دnot only supporting he is 100% from them and he is one of the crazy sheikhs who gave fatwa and destroyed the Muslims and Muslim countries in 2011 bad revolutions
JizzakumAllah khairen sheikh may Allah Azzawajal always bless you and make you successful ameen 🤲🕌🌴
IT IS A RICH FAMILY IF THERE IS CONTENTMENT WITH WHATEVER YOU HAVE

MashaAllah amazing podcast. What a legend Shaikh Suwaidan is ❤
Thank you! We completely agree!
This is a gem of story from Dr. Suwaidan. More (young) Muslims audience have to listen and learn from this. Thanks Safi bros.
Being to yourself is not called lonely. We choose to stay to ourselves. They can call it whatever but I know there’s always angles surrounding me and I have allah..I don’t understand why they would say we are lonely. It’s called being peaceful😭 and we are not putting our faith in jeopardy ofc
Subhanallah he has strong iman us young man, mashaa allah
Barakallaahu Fiqhum. What a beautiful beginning.
AlSalam Masjid in Oklahoma,SubhanAllah..
Thankyou Safi Brothers, both of you look very cute Masha Allah ❤❤

Subhan Allah, very amazing experience.
Wgat ab Interesting stories. BarakAllah shek.
Alhamdulillah
Alhamdulilah 😊
Subhaan Allah. May Allah SWT bless you. Ameen
Thank you guys for your great work. One of my best speakers.
Thanks for listening
Jazakallah khairun . It was beautiful, very motivational and lots of life lessons ❤
Brother would you consider putting timestamps so that it will be easier to navigate, inshallah
I will make sure to do so today, thank you for your feedback!
Masha'Allah May Allah protest him and grant him the heights janna

Amin.
Nice content. MashaAllah
Wow very interesting talk!
Glad you enjoyed it
Very inspiring. May Allah bless the sheikh
Jazakallahu khayran
May Allah bless your work
It was an amazing story 😮
We couldn't agree more!
Brother, when your guest is talking please be quiet as the interviewer. Active listening and saying takbir every 20 seconds is very distracting in a podcast format for the listener. Podcasts are for the listener, you are simply the facilitators. Be quiet as a mouse when they are answering.
@@s0bad thanks for the advice I really wanted to listen the sheikh but I couldn’t because of distractions I hope the brother improves his way of interviewing next time .
You can always switch to another channel. Rather be grateful for the effort put in by the interviewer to feast your mind.
Honestly, the takbeerat did not bother me.
I didn't feel they interrupted him in a disturbing way. I could still follow the story. And Sheikh Suwaidan didn't seem bothered by it either.
I feel this is a big exaggeration. I didn’t feel bothered even once
The Arab world does not have many men like this now,
Very nice interesting Life but we have everything done for us by people like himself (Kuwaiti). Now very different live style in Kuwait . Mashallah.
Now I understand why Americans encouraged Iraq to attack Kuwait.
جزاه الله خيرا وبارك عمره امين
