I been watching a lot of videos of paramotoring lately. And I'm just itching to learn how to do this. I live in Austin Texas and there is a training site here. But after watching Eric here with all his enthusiasm for his students makes me want to go down to Florida to train. I got excited watching this one. I still don't know how well I would do with all that running during training. I have strength , I just don't have stamina.
Hey there Tom, we actually have an awesome Alliance partner there in Austin you should talk to! His name is Ron Toran and he follows all the same methodologies we do... Check him out at ParamotorTX
Looks like we have AustinParamotor and Fly-Tx.com. I was more impressed with your enthusiasm. If these guys are half that, I will train with them. Also Thank Tucker Gott for most of my interest, I kinda Hate him. He was born at a time these were a thing, and got to be a thing while he was still a youngin. This didn't exist when I was his age. Not that I could have afforded it. But non the less. He needs to be taken off RUclips before a Bunch of old farts start flying around on bed sheets. JK
Go the Universal! Such a nice wing to learn on with plenty of room to grow. I used mine (25.5) to learn free flying first and now I'm part way thorough my powered course (they've only just allowed an 'all through powered course' in Australia where we have to actually be certified to fly). It works very well with my Sky110s! Thanks for the video guys, I love your enthusiasm! .
Aw man, haven't watched your stuff in a while, good to see you're doing well, i remember when you were just learning how to paramotor, and that uhh, was it dog island? the video where you would do the water ski with the parachute thing over the island, that was awesome, and i remember learning macklemore from you before he was famous because you put wings on a..i think it was a snowboarding video...good memories man, thanks for em
looks so fun! maybe one day in the future after all my projects are done lol, (just bought a Kolb Firefly) ..Is there a hight requirement? I am a bit short at 5'3 but would still love to fly one some day...guess if not..still got my Ultralights
As someone who has never flown, can you explain what happened on the take off that starts at 2:50 ? over correction? or did the wind just abruptly change? Thanks!
sengsationa1 We primarily teach foot launch actually... Around 5 to 1 foot launch folks. This class just worked out to be all wheel launch folks somehow. We'll film another class sometime soon! That launch earned him the name "Sketchy Scott" we hope he never has another like it!
Those dudes could not stop smiling! That one take off looked pretty scary though, I thought he was gonna get hurt. I'm still doubting wether to try this, it looks so awesome but what if it goes wrong.
Our school stays pretty busy but we've had students from all over the world :) Check out the website. Next classes with room in them are August 13th and September 17th :)
so I wanted to check out the sport of paramotoring... But the problem I have is that you have to sink a ton of cash into the sport at day ONE...just to be able to try it one time. I wish I could find a place that rents to students so I can learn if this is a sport I want to do?...
I'm sorry Sanderus, we cannot... We have done a fair amount of training for their past customers though. Feel free to do your research and drop us a line any time. Sorry we cannot serve that need!

As someone who has never flown, can you explain what happened on the take off that starts at 2:50 ? over correction? or did the wind just abruptly change? Thanks!

We actually include rentals in your training price... So it's even cheaper. Check out Aviator PPG dot com

For $3500, they will teach you to fly a paramotor to. No promises to catch you if you fall out of the sky though.
Thats why you need to know how to safely fly so you dont fall:)
