I watched Horizon and I loved it!!! A Great movie with beautiful scenery !!Thank you Kevin for all your time hard work and money invested. You are the Best of the very Best♥️♥️🌹
I loved the movie and I'm waiting to see the next one! Kevin is a great actor, writer and director. He's just awesome. I have loved every one of his movies! Plus we share the same exact birthdate, 3/26/1955 what's not to love! Keep them coming Kevin!!!
Horizon was wonderful! I didn’t notice the time passing and felt engaged throughout. I even purchased the DVD so I’ll be able to watch it whenever I want. I am extremely disappointed to hear that part two won’t be released this month. There is so much of the story yet to be told!!!
Power must be unique, the one who keeps the history of a nation alive is a hero. Kevin is a hero whose achievement and greatness cannot fit into the dimensions of poor and small minds.
I haven't seen Horizon in the UK yet ,but can't wait for its arrival here ! & never ever stop Kevin Costner from doing the right thing ! Show us what your made of & i know thats great stuff !,don't wait keep the film rolling, & dont be bullied by ignorance please as we all love your films & always will the second 1,will be as good as the 1st i am positive @ that dont ever give up on your dreams Sir because you are the best i have ever seen in any film ! So just get on with it & i for 1 can't wait to by the whole god dam box set to the film ,just make it available here in the UK not just America because you will cut off all us here in the UK from watching your amazing films Sir, & if you are no longer wanted in Yellowstone so what ! You can make better stuff than that shitty Sheridan can ! So get back on your horse 🐎 & ride it cowboy 🤠 we love you so very much ,god bless you Linda Dunn your greatest fan from the UK 🇬🇧 !& i bet that there are thousands more ❤️ god bless you Kevin Costner & Luck you don't need because you Sir are 1 of the greatest actors in history 😊 xx
Horizon is the best Western ever! I have watched it 4 times, learn something new each time! Thank you Kevin Costner for a magnificent gift . You can keep your Marvel movies you would have pay me to watch it.
"watched it 4 times and learned something new each time" 😂😂 yeah I bet ..😂😂 that's because it's so confusing😂 thats notthing to brag about .. but hey I'm sure ur opinion isn't biased or anything 😂😂😂
I loved it, it's time for the western to be revived. I think the lack of press caused the showing problems. it wasn't a bunch of woke, revisionist history crap. looking forward to the next chapter.
Horizon Chapter One takes place in 1859. The first film (of an intended 4) takes place before the Civil War. If the podcaster here had watched the film, he would know this very basic fact.
Brrrr, you know a lot of it is because TS doesn't do his work on time, isn't honest about it, doesn't finish other projects and of course that can happen, but be honest and don't cover up your mistakes by blaming someone else. He always shows up on time, always does his job, knows his lines, helped promote YS abroad, never had to miss a day...So Taylor...thank Kevin for all that! It's a mistake not to have him in 5.2 but don't lie and move on.
Horizon is a great film I absolutely loved it. I hope the rest end up coming out either in a series or as movies. Sheridan needs to sort out wtf he doing with Yellowstone and all the spin offs.
Kevin has always said from the beginning that he loved working on Yellowstone, but he wants to do other things too. That meant that Taylor agreed. I think Taylor has too many projects going on at the same time. Look how we have to wait for Yellowstone season five and the second part of 1923. These should have been out months ago. He has Lioness, Bass Reeves, etc. Taylor either needs to find another writer since he’s writing all these stories, or do better by his fans and viewers by getting his shoes out quicker.
These movie critics will always slam every movie to be bad because to them all movies are terrible when they aren’t. I have watched the trailer and I thought it was very well done and written by Kevin Costner. I just wish that other movies were like this written better. I have a tip for both Disney and Marvel take a look at how this movie was written and made then maybe some of marvel movies would be better at the box office like Spider-Man as an example.
Honestly, I’m a huge fan of Kevin Costner but so far, Horizon is just ok. I haven’t seen the second installment yet and I am hoping that it brings it home.
I love westerns & really like the modern westerns that have come out over the last several years. Horizon was awesome & hope Costner is able to finish out his saga.
I think their ego's and individual goals are colliding. I think this hurts Costner more in the short term. People who watched Horizon part 1 have experienced impatience with the plot and awkwardness since the story line is so widespread and viewers are having trouble piecing it together to get more absorbed into the movie. Part 1 also did not leave any sort or a cliff hanger to climax the close of part 1. I'm still confident Costner can bring it together more in the next segment. I'm also confident that Costner anticipated the slow start and knowing more momentum would build in the coming story line segments leading to better sales and viewership as well.
It would do well as a series. So much went on it was hard to follow and the character development (for me at least) felt rushed. It just lacked some punch for us. But maybe a follow up will bring it around. We’ll support Kevin, he’s done some great work.
Younger generation doesn't have the attention span for a great movie like this. They need flying aliens lasers, and CGI effects to enjoy a crappy movie. This is a masterpiece of a movie and it's a shame that it has to be postponed for the people who really enjoyed it.
I like Horizon. Also if you watch any interviews, Costner wanted to work more consistenly. That was basically impossible because Sheridan has 500 shows now. I don't think either of them is at fault. Yellowstone built Sheridan to what he is, now he is in many different directions and if people want to work more consistently that is his or her choice.
Thats Kevin Costner... he can make 100 movies which can be a "failure" it is still Kevin Costner, whom i love , who is a big respectable artist ... who tf is Sheridan ??
Were living in weird times. People are hell bent on trashing everything filmed to be released free on t.v or in the theater. House of the dragon and rings of power both are getting trashed to the point soon no one will risk investing millions of dollars into any type of production. Why would they if it's only going to get trashed. I'm frustrated at people for trashing EVERYTHING that's coming out lately.
No. It will do fine. The other variants/time periods of the show will also do well. I can't wait to see the next season of 1923 and the planned version of 1943? with Matthew McConaughey.
Anyone who thinks Yellowstone is a accurate portrayal of a working cattle ranch has no idea what they are talking about..the movie was painful to watch. The pace was painfully slow and I nearly got up and walked out, something I've never done...
Horizon is a good movie but failed to resonate as a chapter 1. It just ends with a montage and you're kegt confused. Dumb ending... chapter 2 should have been released immediately after.
Horizon is an excellent 1st Chapter and looking forward to the rest of the installments..hope Kevin Costner will add Clint Eastwood and Kim Coates will be added to the cast...I don't understand the bad press on this movie...Yellowstone has been going down hill for the last couple seasons.Good choice getting off that sinking ship.
We rented the Horizon movie and watched it from home. We enjoyed the movie but it is a bit of a narrative mess. It has several plot arcs and main characters. It makes the story(ies) difficult to follow. Also, as this video suggests, the tempo of the movie drags at times. Nevertheless, I think this movie can be salvaged in later installments. I'd recommend shortening subsequent installments and concentrating the narrative on one or two arcs instead of 3 or 4 like in the first movie.
The film is, in my opinion, too scattered. The plots are interesting but all over the place and it is difficult to follow a particular character. It makes it difficult to get emotionally involved. Especially since the story takes a while to really get going. Even if transformed into a TV series, it would be necessary to tighten everything up and follow a main character and secondary characters who feed the main plot. This is often what happens when an artist decides to do things their own way. If it works, he's a genius. A visionary. His stubbornness is adored. If he fails, the same stubbornness is to blame. This is storytelling 101. Goodfellas, Lords Of The Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Avengers, the Godfather, The Sopranos, etc... Here are stories, sagas rich in intrigue and characters but which are nevertheless focused on a main plot fueled by subplots. A young prince must save a princess, a mafioso must juggle his mafia family and his family at home, a rich playboy scientist must form a team of superheroes in order to save the planet, the son of an important Godfather must take the reins of the family business against his will, two tiny Hobbits, helped by a small team of brave warriors, must throw the evil ring into the fires of Mordor, etc... Try to summarize ''Horizon'' in one sentence.. You will be able to do it, of course, but in a general way, without following a particular plot or character, hence the problem in my opinion. ''The various trials and human dramas linked to the conquest of the west''... something like that. And anyway, as this video says, today's audience is addicted to TV series, video games, Tik Tok videos and RUclips Shorts. Everything must be quick, short and to the point. Fast, fast, fast. On to the next click. The level of attention is no longer what it used to be. I really liked ''Horizon''. But several three-hour Westerns? in today's context? At the cinema? Without following a plot or a main character? Congratulations to Kevin for having the courage and belief in his dreams. But even I could have said before the start of this perilous adventure in the West that it would be a Box Office failure. Hollywood fairy tales like ''Rocky'' or ''Star Wars'', with everything stacked against them, are inspiring when they work. However, you have to put all the chances on your side. Small budgets under the circumstances and well-crafted stories. And only one movie. Or pilot if it's a TV series. I feel like this project was dead on arrival. We misjudged... the horizon.
Gee another celebrity humbled? I did not mind the movie, a lot of extra talking not needed in the situations. You have hardened criminals using intellect that would not be in there wheel house. He did well in Yellowstone however Taylor Sheridan has experience and writes well and was the reason for its success………..you need to walk before you run Kevin. I hope he keeps it up however take this lesson! Everything mentioned in this video is exactly the points I made after my wife and we watched it.
Ya know, a whole lot of people hated The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring until The Two Towers and The Return of the King came out.... Let's let the whole story come out before we judge the "Opening Act"
Exactly!! And Dune Part One ended with the characters in the middle of a desert literally walking somewhere and it had no conclusion, it was part of a multi-film saga. And they begin filming Dune 3 next year. I’m not sure why, in this day and age, people are struggling with Horizon Chapter One not having a “definitive” ending. We only had to wait 2 more months for the second one. Now, who knows. I’m so disappointed in the fan base as a whole. I thought this was a terrific first chapter of a saga. If every person who claimed to be Costner fans in Yellowstone went to see Horizon just once it would’ve been a hit.
I'm tired of a big pump up for these movies and sereies shows, and then, you get the first edition, pretty good ,waiting for rest of story. And waiting for the rest of the story, and still waiting for rest of the story. Yellowstone, 1923, and now horizon. What's up with that?
Wanted to love it but too confusing. They don't use titles to let u know who's who or what year it was. Trying to figure out when they time jump and who's who really left alot of ppl confused and disappointed
I had to force myself to finish the movie. Way too many storylines. Too long and too many people with no names. Should have had another director, writer and or producer. That way Costner could focus on acting and let the directors coach.
I will not watch Horizon until Costner finishes Yellowstone. Be a man, put away petty differences and finish what you started for the fans. His ego is just too much sometimes.
Reviews like this are hilarious crap. "Oh my gosh, I'd like to go see it, but THE BOX OFFICE! Well, I certainly don't want to expose myself to something some bot says is a failure!"
So you're saying a person can't have a valid opinion of his own likes and dislikes when it comes to westerns until he's been in almost 70 productions and has a net worth of $400 million? What the fuck are you smoking?
Loved those steel tipped arrows flying through the door. All in all it isnt bad. The Dead Dont Hurt has a much deeper story, and was a lot better in my opinion.
I was excited to see Horizon but sadly disappointed. In fact, my son and I decided to walk out about 3/4 of the way into the movie. We both were very bored. I can count on one hand how many movies I have walked out on so this says a lot in my opinion. I can understand why it did poorly in the box office.
I watched Horizon and I loved it!!! A Great movie with beautiful scenery !!Thank you Kevin for all your time hard work and money invested. You are the Best of the very Best♥️♥️🌹
I absolutely agree with you on everything you commented. ❤❤
Me too, i want to see more.
I liked it. I’d like to see him finish Yellowstone tho. I think Horizon should finish as a series also
Taylor is an a..... he never finishes anything and always puts the blame on others. Horizon is awesome ❤
I loved the movie and I'm waiting to see the next one!
Kevin is a great actor, writer and director. He's just awesome. I have loved every one of his movies!
Plus we share the same exact birthdate, 3/26/1955 what's not to love! Keep them coming Kevin!!!
Awsome movie!! Looking forward to part 2!!
i watched and I loved it. Kevin Costner does things his way , and I have always appreciated him for that.
Too bad the rest of the world didn't feel that way ... or else it would have been a success instead of a flop. Facts is facts 💯
Horizon was wonderful! I didn’t notice the time passing and felt engaged throughout. I even purchased the DVD so I’ll be able to watch it whenever I want.
I am extremely disappointed to hear that part two won’t be released this month. There is so much of the story yet to be told!!!
Yellowston without Kostner makes no sense
Yellowstone won't make it without Kevin Costner
Great movie… eager to see chapter 2!!!!
"Horizon" was outstanding! I even discussed Costner's film on my own RUclips Channel.
I,loved the film. I am really looking forward to part 2.
Power must be unique, the one who keeps the history of a nation alive is a hero. Kevin is a hero whose achievement and greatness cannot fit into the dimensions of poor and small minds.

Dought that
Horizon is great!💪👊🇺🇲
I loved it, it's time for the western to be revived. I think the lack of press caused the showing problems. it wasn't a bunch of woke, revisionist history crap. looking forward to the next chapter.
Was all set to see it after waiting for months, BUT it was not screened in any cinema near me !!
I liked it too, it was great

Horizon created the foundation for what could be a fantastic sequel. Costner isn't to blame for the attention span of modern audiences.
It was solid but definitely had pacing issues. It felt kinda scatter brained and rushed.
These movie critics will always slam every movie to be bad because to them all movies are terrible when they aren’t. I have watched the trailer and I thought it was very well done and written by Kevin Costner. I just wish that other movies were like this written better. Horizon is a great movie
The only thing bigger than Texas is Sheridans ego
That's funny! But I do like Taylor's movies and TV shows as well.
I liked Horizon.
Honestly, I’m a huge fan of Kevin Costner but so far, Horizon is just ok. I haven’t seen the second installment yet and I am hoping that it brings it home.
I like the movie I think he could’ve showed him more in it, but it was good

Love the movie❤
I really liked it. The sequel was supposed to come out in August but didn't. Hope to see it soon.
Cinema chains are not showing it in UK,too bad I like this and New Zealand movies.
Horizon is an unbelievably great movie
Horizon was sooo good! I wish it was longer.
Don't trust the haters, "Horizon" is exceptional! Luv'd it!
It would do well as a series. So much went on it was hard to follow and the character development (for me at least) felt rushed. It just lacked some punch for us. But maybe a follow up will bring it around. We’ll support Kevin, he’s done some great work.
Who would I pick "Kevin Costner" or "Taylor Sheridan" (Who the hell is Taylor Sheridan?????)
I liked it...We need more westerns.
I really like the movie the show whatever they call it. It’s awesome I prefer than the Yellowstone.
I loved Horizon
Younger generation doesn't have the attention span for a great movie like this. They need flying aliens lasers, and CGI effects to enjoy a crappy movie. This is a masterpiece of a movie and it's a shame that it has to be postponed for the people who really enjoyed it.

I’ll probably watch when it comes to the Paramount network.
It's on MAX and yeah it's a bit disjointed! But still a enjoyable Western from Costner
Thats Kevin Costner... he can make 100 movies which can be a "failure" it is still Kevin Costner, whom i love , who is a big respectable artist ... who tf is Sheridan ??
Played a sherrif in Sons of Anarchy.......then got killed off!!
I liked Horizon and Yellowstone…but 1883 was the better series of all! 🤠🇨🇱
Awesome movie
Great movie
Kevin could have done better than that stupid looking hat!

Not sure Yellowstone will be as well received without Costner . Mistake.
No. It will do fine. The other variants/time periods of the show will also do well. I can't wait to see the next season of 1923 and the planned version of 1943? with Matthew McConaughey.
I liked Horizon part 1. Solid filmmaking.
Horizon should of been sold as a series, Netflix, HBO, and might before all are released.
Yellowstone-Costner=Gets Cancelled.
I reluctantly pushed play. It was great.
I liked it.
So in conclusion it goes like this: Another phenomenal western by Costner some 20 years to late. I think I gonna by the Bluray.
Anyone who thinks Yellowstone is a accurate portrayal of a working cattle ranch has no idea what they are talking about..the movie was painful to watch. The pace was painfully slow and I nearly got up and walked out, something I've never done...
I was under the impression Kevin Costner has already confirmed he is not returning to Yellowstone.
I think it needs to go back into the theaters,
I missed it. I want to see it. I think it will be great. Kevin is a great movie maker. I'm bummed out.
Horizon was terrific.
Who's actually wanting a Costner movie in 2024?
I just wish ANYONE would finish a project.
Sheridan is known for sticking to creative timelines? It was Sheridan missing his own deadlines that caused the problems with Yellowstone.
Should’ve been a Netflix movie. Now only kid comic movies are box office successes.
Only ok, but I am looking forward to seeing the rest of it.
Don’t worry mykevin for me you are the best of all always and forever !!! we love you ❤❤❤and especially ME 😂
Horizon was great. Hated by the bigot media so I had a feeling when they hated it I would like it. I love Kevin Costner.
I"m a big Costner fan, but I could barely choke through 32 minutes of Horizon. Terrible...IMHO.
It wasn’t one of his best, but it was better than Waterworld
Taylor Sheridan is from many accounts a world class a hole
Great movie
Jai vraiment envie de voir horizon ❤cest le film nouveau de mon roi kevin costner❤je veux parler sincerement de ce film❤zohra zohra
Are they not finishing Yellowstone?
Ya know, a whole lot of people hated The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring until The Two Towers and The Return of the King came out.... Let's let the whole story come out before we judge the "Opening Act"

That is BS! They made enough money on Fellowship's theater run to cover the cost of all 3 movies. It was a big success.
Never heard of it. Is it a cowboy movie?
I'm tired of a big pump up for these movies and sereies shows, and then, you get the first edition, pretty good ,waiting for rest of story. And waiting for the rest of the story, and still waiting for rest of the story. Yellowstone, 1923, and now horizon. What's up with that?
Wanted to love it but too confusing. They don't use titles to let u know who's who or what year it was. Trying to figure out when they time jump and who's who really left alot of ppl confused and disappointed
The title of this video is utterly dishonest clickbait. There is no reaction from Taylor Sheridan to Horizon in this video.
Downvote
Karma? He is obviously going by the Western media definition of the word. And he obviously doesn't know the true meaning of the word Karma.
Horizon. Loved it and will watch again. Yellowstone sucks the big one. I watched half a show,it sucked.
You could at least get the history right. Being attacked by Apache Indians in Montana, I don’t think so!
Lol That's what you get for leaving Yellowstone. JACKAZZ
Reviews like this are hilarious crap. "Oh my gosh, I'd like to go see it, but THE BOX OFFICE! Well, I certainly don't want to expose myself to something some bot says is a failure!"
Who?? 😉 When he has done half of what Costner has done, then maybe he has an opinion.
So you're saying a person can't have a valid opinion of his own likes and dislikes when it comes to westerns until he's been in almost 70 productions and has a net worth of $400 million? What the fuck are you smoking?
Between Sheridan and kostner there were too many chiefs and not enough Indians
Loved those steel tipped arrows flying through the door. All in all it isnt bad. The Dead Dont Hurt has a much deeper story, and was a lot better in my opinion.
Not that good. More like a tv series than a box office movie smash.
I was excited to see Horizon but sadly disappointed. In fact, my son and I decided to walk out about 3/4 of the way into the movie. We both were very bored. I can count on one hand how many movies I have walked out on so this says a lot in my opinion. I can understand why it did poorly in the box office.
