I heard that if you crank the torsion bars 1.5 in. And buy 2 inch rear shackles is the way to go.. but I also heard it can mess up alignment.. can someone please help me?
Very nice Blazer. I'm rockin my '85 S10 getting ready to (hopefully) put a 327 in it ;D hopefully I'm gonna find some muddin spots nearby and I'll get vids up soon!
idgaf what anyone says. blazers are fuckin badass. i had a '89 blazer. 4x4 of course with a 4 inch lift and 31" mickey thompsons. it was all stock except for cold air intake. that bitch would crawl through ANYTHING.
@rdrdrd22 That's not completely true of what yamaha said. Some have stock lockers in the rear like mine. I have a '96 blaze with a stock G80 rear locker. It goes through a lot with street tires.
i got a zr2 blazer and its just got the stock lift 2' and i got 33' swampers on the back and 31's street tires on the front i took the fenders off and its got spacers and offset rims so every tire sticks out 5' for those of you who were wondering what size tire you can get
@MrJimzyacking i have a 96 chevrolet blazer with torsion bar cranked 15x8 3.45 back spacing pro comp steel rims and 30x9.5 and with a little trimming your good but i would say dont go further that that for stock. if you get the rough country 2 in susp lift it says you can fit 31x9.5 but will still need to trim!
AMC(American Motors Company) designed the XJ Cherokee. They designed the engine. They hired Aisin-Warner for a trans(they used the same A340/AW4 trans as in the 300 hp Mark IV Supra Turbo). The only thing Chrysler did on it was the OBD2 electronics and interior bits post 1997-2001.
@HURRiiCANExLLC No, don't leave the rear stock. Turn the t-bars up 1 inch to 1.5 inches and put shackles in the back to even it out. But don't go anymore than 1.5 inches on the t-bar crank or it'll create bad front end angles and wear out parts like crazy.
@yamahagytrracing21 What kind of lift are you running? I'm assuming either a 2 or 3 inch body lift and a 5 or 6 inch suspension? Maybe a t-bar crank and shackles in there somewhere?
OH NO THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ENGINE AND MAYBE THE ENGINE HAS GOT TO BE FIXED UP REALLY GOOD AND THEN IT CAN GO INTO THE MUDD IF IT HAS THE ENGINE FIXED UP GOOD OR TAKE IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP TO GET THE ENGINE FIXED
You would have gotten through that 10 times eaiser if you turned back and forth. That keeps me from gettin stuck on almost anything like creeks mudholes sometimes mountains
AND IF THIS CHEVROLET BLAZER GOING IN THE MUDD IT BETTER BE VERY VERY CAREFUL NOT TO CRASH INTO ANYTHING AND WATCH WHERE IT IS GOING AND NOT BUMP INTO ANY OTHER VECHILES AND I HOPE IT HAS A STRONG ENGINE AND STRONG TIRES TO GO INTO THE MUDD AND IF NOT AND THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR IT HAS GOT TO BE FIXED UP REALLY GOOD AND THEN IT CAN GO INTO THE MUDD
Upgrade the engine I have a 96 jimmy that you can check out on my channel I figured out the dude I bought it from rebuilt the engine so mine isn't stock lol
yamahagytrracing21 thanks for the info. I got a 98 zr2 and the piping from the cat back is garbage just lookin for a clean sound to replace the stock muff. appreciate the quick reply 👌
2018 SUVs transmissions would never make it.
yea. *thunk* *shrill* *pop*
i had 31 10.5 in my jimmy, then again i only drove it a span of maybe 30 mins and blew the motor, i bought it blown already
Awsome i have a video of my cousin stuck but in a gmc jimmy.
Some jb weld ull be back in action.
@rdrdrd22 stupid question
I love Blazers. I beat the shit out of mine and she just keeps running
You know when a blazer gets stuck your in deep shit.
Nice little Blazer! Those little trucks are awesome off road!
DingleDawg Tv I wanna get another one lol
That's a good looking Blazer. Too bad GM abandoned the market leaving Jeep and Toyota to take over.
They still don’t have any compact off road rigs in their lineup, a Colorado based Blazer would be kinda cool
Can't stand watching a nice blazer get yanked on with a chain.... C'mon people. Invest in a bubba rope.
Notice how the Ford gets stuck immediately?
Hey what wheels are on that thing I want a set for mine since the steel wheels on it are all rusty lol
I heard that if you crank the torsion bars 1.5 in. And buy 2 inch rear shackles is the way to go.. but I also heard it can mess up alignment.. can someone please help me?

He needs some courser MXT mud tires on that Blazer.
@Z28Guy1 those were 31x10.50r15 goodyear wrangler authoritys. it now sits on a 8" lift with 33x12.50s
Great tires, my Highrider came with a very old set, about 20% tread. Still got me through the mud and snow
@rdrdrd22
That's not completely true of what yamaha said. Some have stock lockers in the rear like mine. I have a '96 blaze with a stock G80 rear locker. It goes through a lot with street tires.
leave it to a ford to get stuck the first time.
Gmc was the first thing stuck lol
u kno that ford found the problem and circled it
u kno that a circle is not the same as an oval
yah idk what test you took, but around here they circle the answer not the problem.
if only chevy made blazers and s10's today... they'd be selling alot better than their current shit
GSRGOPEDRIDER247- I’d enjoy to see anyone who says otherwise take a Traverse through this! They’re almost the same as minivans now...
@13seankilburn
Yeah, blazers have been running v6's since late 80's. The 95-2005 blazers have 4.3 vortec v6's.
do these blazers lock all the way around in 4low?
I had a 2000 2-door, complete piece of junk, but man that little truck would go through ANYTHING!!
how did you get your exhaust to sound good? i have a flowmaster on my 2001 blazer but doesnt sound this good.
Man I need to fix my front diff leak lol. These things just munch the trails
I have two blazers. there ok offroad untill the poor design of the the low hanging frame lays on the ground.
Nathan McGill get a lift. 2.5in will do alot and 4" will keep up with almost anything.
Is it all stock? Like engine wise? Just curious it sounds good though!
This when it still had the 4.3?
yup
i have 31/1050 on stock suspension but if you hit a big bump you will scrub a little
3:50 thats what happends when you drive a ford
Not setting High Enough and wheelbase it's not as short as the Chevy Blazers
Stock vs lifted lol
This was pretty bad ass
The blazer Is automátic of standar?
Nice Blazer! what lift kit do you have on there?
2 inch keys and shackels
i got a zr2 blazer and its just got the stock lift 2' and i got 33' swampers on the back and 31's street tires on the front i took the fenders off and its got spacers and offset rims so every tire sticks out 5' for those of you who were wondering what size tire you can get
I'm surprised not a single person had a stretch strap. I thought that was standard off road apparel...
These trucks aren’t heavy. Good vid tho I love these old blazers

I'm guessing a lack of common sense is what happens when you drive a Chevy then? And its not the vehicle, it's the driver, cause I have had both....
thats what im taking about blazers are the shit!!
all you hates, prob. own a jeep just like every other guy
mike if you had a dodge you would never ever get stuck haha you know its true. but i like your new Blazer,
@yamahagytrracing21
What kind of lift are you running?
@MrJimzyacking like a 30x9.50 with a 2 inch lift you can run a 31x10.50
Damn that spot looks fun I got a 95 f250 with 40 bloggers and a 520 big block that would beat that shit up ...but that blazer did a hell of a good job
15x9 rims on 30's aren't they? Stock suspen? Im thinking of doing the same to my blazer but i dont like a lift just the mud tires and rims
nice rig, i hade a s10 zr2 2" bl and 32's, i miss it , i want to get a blazer and sfa it and run 35's
what part of PA are you in? I'm heading down this Friday to go mudding
that is no lie, but i do like the 4 door one, just for the more room and extra doors
this is badass man i have a 99. so i can fit 30x9.50 with no lift and stock wheels? This is awesome
if you crank you torsion bars you should be able to stuff 31s stock, there just wont be alot of room for flex
Great vid made me laugh
off to work on my 99 sonoma's transfer case shift motor and then time pending my jimmy's blower motor.
Very nice video, but don't you think he would have made it on his own if he tried somewhat longer without help first?
What kind of rims and tires are these? Is this particular truck lifted at all?
@MrJimzyacking You can put 31x10.50 15 on them without a lift and with very little rubbing.
@rdrdrd22 no open diffs. i just installed a rear locker
do you have the original vortec in your s10? what kind of muffler do you use?
how easy is it to put a lift on the blazer i got 1 and i want it to go through some mud
Where can i get a 6" body lift kit for my 98 chevy blazer?? for cheap.
.....and how the Chevy just keeps kicing ass? Just sayin'.
what tires do you have? are you lifted?
did you honestly jut say 6" body lift? do you mean suspension lift?
Need a big ole winch on that puppy
i have the same typoe of blazer man :) they can take a beating
31x11.5, 1" torsion crank. little rubbing on frame at full turn
@507lee507 it would have a 4.3 liter vortec in that blazer
Man..... Blazers kick ass. I'm glad i got a 95 blazer ls
@diferentlion
I like this video
I got a 91' stock jimmy
i have a 2000 blazer with 31's with stock height not rubbing lol dont understand why u guys need a body lift, its kinda funny
The bolt that holds the front tires is placed at about enough clearance for 30.5". anymore than that, the tire will rub against it.
Hey what size tires are on that thing
freaking yeah! heat noticed!
What year is that blazer ?
what kinda of mpg u gettin that beast?
where did you get your bug shield?
AND IF THIS CHEVROLET BLAZER GOING IN THE MUDD IT BETTER BE VERY VERY CAREFUL NOT TO CRASH INTO ANYTHING AND WATCH WHERE IT IS GOING AND NOT BUMP INTO ANY OTHER VECHILES AND I HOPE IT HAS A STRONG ENGINE AND STRONG TIRES TO GO INTO THE MUDD AND IF NOT AND THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR IT HAS GOT TO BE FIXED UP REALLY GOOD AND THEN IT CAN GO INTO THE MUDD
jacob dorworth right jacob Hahah is that mommy? Shut the hell up
Wtf
What rims are those??
What kind of locker u got on that?
Turn your wheeles back and forth
Should of brought the cummins
what size tires on the blazer and is it stock hight?
Jeff Dubin yes
how do you get your blazer to sound like that?
Upgrade the engine I have a 96 jimmy that you can check out on my channel I figured out the dude I bought it from rebuilt the engine so mine isn't stock lol
aww look at da wittle v6s go

1970 blazers are a lot better then the newer ones
what exhaust you got on this ?
Ray Bee its a Flowmaster super 44
yamahagytrracing21 just the muffler itself or did you take off the resonator?
Ray Bee yeah resonator is gone to
yamahagytrracing21 thanks for the info. I got a 98 zr2 and the piping from the cat back is garbage just lookin for a clean sound to replace the stock muff. appreciate the quick reply 👌

+Dickey Ritchison good for you
+yamahagytrracing21 I got the same blazer that's a perfect lift, I was thinking of putting a 6 inch lift on my blazer what do u think?
+Jesse Lacivita go for it man
+Dickey Ritchison dunno but I can make that blazer take a shit on your truck
My driveway is muddier than that after a few hundredths of rain...
I love how everyone talks shit on blazers because they only have a v6 vortex, yet a v6 did better then your ford f150? Hmmmm
