Kudos to Andy Helms for getting you guys to do this "thang". and Congratulations on finding the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miho and Miyako have composed most of their music, in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer, but Midori has also been getting into the act. Asami writes a lot of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. and aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and at this point they’ve taken it to another level. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. They are generally best live. Here are some you should definitely check out: Their most recently posted live clip, “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html. Other live songs to check out are "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html; Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html; but if it is taken down, you can watch two clips back to back: ruclips.net/video/hDBjiQI9cyc/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/uEsEWISc8Q0/видео.html I promise, it’s worth it. For a thrasher with heavy Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/G021aP2ao6Y/видео.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while it’s generally true their live clips are best, their MV’s are epic and worth seeing: "When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html "Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html "Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Welcome to th world of Lovebites - one of the best metal bands in the world. No one knows about them in the USA, but they will. They have toured in the UK with DragonForce and played at Bloodstock, Wacken Open Air and Graspop festivals. This band puts more into their live shows than in the studio and they sound much better live. They always wear white intentionally, to be different and to stand out from all the other metal bands who wear black. Their two guitarists do crazy solos like this in every song. Now do "Set the World on Fire" a heavy thrash song from their most recent concert. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html
In an interview I read they said they wear white because they are all small and often play dark venues, the white makes them stand out on stage, not because they are trying to be different or anything like that.
They dress in white partly to stand out on dark stages, Myako, dark haired guitarist is tallest at 5' 2" and Haruna, drums is 4' 9", they use a wolf in their logo, hence Wolfpack and are known as The Wolves In White or White Wolves
Before you wanna hear the studio version, you've got to listen to their more songs. You can't judge any thing on Lovebites by one single song because they are so versatile. You referred to so many other bands, because they have all the aspects of old school metal. They have DNA from all of old school and romantic era classic music. You know nothing about Lovebites yet, you've just scratch on the surface. Don't judge them so fast. They have released four live albums + two shorter live DVDs, and many studio recorded EPs and CDs. Try them and know them.
Fun fact, they've actually done an anime intro("Winds of Transylvania" for the anime "Vlad Love"). They do always wear the white get ups cause they are all small(the tallest is like like 5'2) and often play dark venues, so the white outfits make them stand out on stage.
@@eatsmylifeYT Because they were saying this song would be a great anime theme, and the fun part is that the band literally HAS done an anime theme, making the guys assessment closer than they might have expected.

That is one of their major influences but so is Slayer, Metallica, Deep Purple and any of the golden '80 metal bands. They blend them often together in the same song. Set the World on Fire is a perfect example, Slayer to Maiden to Metallica to Maiden to Slayer, all the while gliding in and out of the influence that they elevate with their insane talent. LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
