It got a lot cleaner since I retired in 2000. I was a milk delivery diver years ago. The city crime was bad. I got my milk truck stolen while making a delivery. The police found the truck. All the milk was gone. Now I am living with my son in Dallas Texas.
Ok, I just came across this video and I’m glad I did. I was born and raised in Camden. I moved out of the city in ‘92. I worked there until I retired in ‘03. I still have family and friends that live there. Camden has changed over the years, but it’s getting better. I believe it’s seen it’s worse time, and can only improve. I still have so many fond memories, because it was like a small town to us that lived there. Everybody knew you, and/or your family. Outsiders can’t understand how even today if you hear a last name you can remember the family. We will travel from wherever to come back there to show support. And, as I said earlier many of us still have family members, and friends who still live there. I grew up in South Camden, and I know all of the areas shown in the video. I’m going to share this video with many others.
Honestly, It's not that bad even though it's cleaner. But it is still the worst part of New Jersey ever. I'm from Central Jersey, and it's much safer at night than it is up in Camden. Except for Manville though.
Hello friend ✌🏽..Where ever you were in Camden..its looking mighty clean... Versus what was a few years back.. Dangerous still yes .. Down town transportation center 😂.. Police around the block 🤨 they still don't care.. Stay safe in your travels friend..See you soon again
What’s so bad about folks walking around their neighborhoods on a warm summer night? I worked in Camden as a social worker for 40 years. Never had a problem with the residents; if anything, people were very respectful and friendly!
I love skateboarding in Philly and have thought of stopping in Camden on the way to skate there too. What are the safest neighborhoods I’d be ok going to?
All I can say is that I'm glad I've never had to live in a major city! From what I've seen this is a common sight in most of our big cities! It's shameful what our great nation has become!
It's not bad. It looks like any northeastern American city. Just a American city that looks American. Looks better than Philly and any other southern American city, I would think

I remember that..That was the tony soprano community free school milk program..😂

It's actually gotten better over recent years. Still a long way to go though.
Looks like you hit all the yellow lights. Thanks for your work. May God be with you.
so many people on the street at night. Usually in videos from the USA there are almost no people on the street. I'm from Russia, hello everyone.
Why are there so many dry cleaning businesses in a hood?
Things have improved but still a way to go.
Things are "improving"? Damn. What was it like before improvement?

It like a time capsule, I am from Camden and it looks exactly the same when I left. I left in 97
Still not as bad as Philly 😢
Thank god
What a great video. You got a lot of activity going on in it!!

First off, very few trees to be seen.
Reminds me of parts of Richmond, VA
LOL
I wouldn't be stopping for those red lights
St. Tropez it ain’t but it’s not as bad as I expected for the most part.
Lived on 33rd St. just off Westfield Ave.in the '80's. Liked it. Moved 2 Gloucester Cty.,then Westville(on Rt.47).
Spent the summer in the 80's there and Philly. Both were rough, depending on what part of town you were in.

You stayed on main roads. Gotta hit the back roads and go during the day. Some parts look like a third world country
Still a lot more opportunities than rural South Carolina!! Looks better too!

1st from ontario canada here .........good morning

My family lived on north 24th st and high street - creamer hill .
We moved out in the 70’s
I would like to see a video of the best parts of town as well if possible

Camden is not a major city, more like a Satellite city of Philly
Wow. That’s way nicer than used to be.
Camden ain't bad at all in comparison to hundreds of other places. Now, should any place in the USA be like this? NO, but welcome to End Times!
"Home Sweet Home"....
Great night vedio
Pretty nice spot here. Looking to bring my family to wholesome neighborhood, and Camden just might be it.
😂
Philly spill over........ sad.
How sad
