Sounds like a vulture nest. The babies hiss when scared and the fact that you saw an adult fly close to the structure only reassures the idea. Good luck!
That's why that black headed buzzard didn't leave that tree outside when you said get outta here. That was probably the mother of those babies. Nice property! Hope you get it.
Gotta tell you, those were some creepy sounds coming from that stone building!! Hard to believe that those sounds came from baby vultures!! Hope that is the worst of the wild animals you find on the property! Enjoy your new adventure!\~
That baby vulture sounded ferocious. Kevin you were brave to get close enough to see what's in there. You should do some research on the property. Check at Court House to get names of previous owners. Check Newspaper Archives. May be able to find old pictures to see what the rock structure was used for. Since the property is over 100 yrs old it would be a great school research project for your kids. Probably tons of info online too.
Well, looks like we all had a nature lesson. Now I know what a vulture chick sounds like in survival mode. Signed, dated, filled for future use. We were ALL right behind you Kevin…whispering, yeah Kev, go see what that is. Thank goodness it wasn’t a cougar or a bobcat. PHEW 😮💨 This is going to be a great adventure with this new property 👍👍👍 Thank you for sharing this with us all 🌎❤️😊
That is a beautiful building! Look at the stones and imagine putting them in place one by one! Still looks pretty sturdy, just the roof needs replacing, it's not falling down or collapsing to the naked eye. Good luck on the purchase!
My first thought was that there were babies of some kind in there but it didn’t sound like a cat. I would stay clear - mamas are very protective even if they are usually not aggressive. Wow…great footage! Congratulations on the new property.
After I turned 50 I have had this obsession about buying a cabin or something of the sort. It would just be such a great place to get my grown kids to go to on the weekend so we can see them for a longer period of time lol. I just think having Christmas there with both sides of the family, it just sounds like a dream to me. I can’t wait to see what you do with this really neat place and the property.
That appears to be an old pump house or mill house. In the old days, they used water to turn a rock wheel stone to grind flour and corn meal. if it was used as a pump house, then they pumped water to the fields as irrigation. It can be turned into a cabin by the lake. Good find, Kev!!!
I've never heard noises like that. It's creeping me out. Just be careful. Glad it is just birds. That rock building is so awesome. Hopefully you keep it and make it nice
Great building. That will be so fun to restore. Will be a great tiny cabin for staying overnight at the lake. Can't wait to see it all cleared out around the building, so you can get down to the shoreline easier. Hope the permits don't take too long. I was expecting bats and racoons or possums hissing, but with the buzzards in there, nothing else will come near.
My first thought was a baby buzzard. I came upon an old shotgun house on some property in Dime Box, TX and that is exactly what they sound like. It was upstairs in the house with a window on each side of the room...Yep I hightailed it out of there really fast. You saw momma flying around. Beautiful property! I know yall will make many memories there.
Oh my goodness you wouldn’t catch me near that place, that noise is so scary. Love the old stone building. Can’t wait to see the possibilities you can do with the property. Glad you found out what was in there.
Sounds like the hounds from hell!! Ha. Glad it was "just" vultures. They are some ferocious birds. That mother is big! Once that place is cleaned up and redone, it will be a nice place to hang out. You are a brave soul, Kevin. Creeping up on the house. 💞
That sound would scare the crap out of me. I was thinking oh he’s alone not good. It’s amazing how wildlife survive such as this that sound would scare off anything. That property is going to be amazing for you and the family.
Wow, if I heard that sound while approaching an abandoned building at dusk I would hightail it out of there so fast the suction would take you with me! 😮 What a sound! So that is what a baby vulture sounds like? Crazy 😲
Wow Kevin that sounds like mountain lion. Freaky sounds it makes the hair on my neck stand up. Be careful. I love the rock house. God bless . Love ❤ you all.
I wouldn't be surprised if the vultures took care of snakes in the area, along with carrion. Better than paying rent, till you get a chance to work on that great looking building.
I love that stone building. I live near a river in Ontario Canada and we have buildings built like that which were part of the mills that each village had. They too are over 100 years old. Can't wait to see the building restored to it's glory.
That noise was really creepy. So glad that you were not near the old building when Mom returned. She was one big bird. Stay safe and well. Bless you all.
I guess my age makes me more nervous but even watching you react to the noise you’d hear walking down made me jump! Lol. Beautiful property, and many wonderful times to be had there in the days to come.
Your new property is beautiful. That rock building will make an awesome lake cabana. I pray you have many happy memories and just think it could be the perfect retirement home. Although I’m more active now than when I was still working. 💜💜💜
We have all sorts of vultures where I live. I have never seen a vulture nest. They are good for cleaning up road kill. I don't like them to attack live animals. Great vlog. Glad you are safe.
I'm legit shocked that noise came from those baby birds ahh I would of ran so fast I probably would of fell & broke some bones and became the food for those babies!!! Haha I'm so excited go watch this property evolve this rock building would make an awesome tiny home. It's clearly well made to weather all the storms that have gone through in all the years!! Congrats guys I'm so happy for you all
Holy Cow, Kevin! You are so brave to get that close to the door! Glad it wasn't a wild cat! Never have seen baby birds that big before. Guess if you buy that property you'll have to board it up so that mother bird can't get back in there! Or any other critter!
Kevin you and Rachael are such hard workers you will have the new place looking awesome. Great role models for family life and what u can accomplish if u want to WORK for it. God Bless
Wonderful to restore that old building. You have to make sure you get all the windows and roof, the doors boarded up She will come back to nest again. I would wait until they are gone. To do anything to the building. So happy for you all.
So glad it's only baby vultures and not some big cat. Can't wait to see what Y'all do with the building and the property. Take care and stay safe out there. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
That was tense when you were walking past the open door of the stone house. I kept expecting some adult creature was about to rush out at you. I'm relieved, and I know you are too, that it was young vultures. It didn't sound like a bobcat to me, but I had also never heard young vultures before, and didn't know that they could produce that hissing sound. The little stone house reminds me of an old pump house.
What a great property when you can clean it up it will be beautiful 😍 🤩 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 thank you for sharing have a wonderful day 😊
Vultures are huge on taking over abandoned buildings for nesting purposes. I ran into them in a house that was over 150 years old in the woods behind my house. That noise is from the baby vultures. It is scary as shit when you hear them for the first time lol
Wow, sounds like something from a horror movies. I can't wait to see what you folks do with this new property. The rock house is so neat looking. Thanks for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Holy guacamole Kevin, who would have thought that noise would come out of those babies. Pretty scary stuff🫣 at least now you know what it is. Take care, stop scaring us & cheers 🤣🐨🦘🥰
Whoa, that was scary. My heart was pounding thinking a huge cat was in there. That is one unique building, can't wait to see what you do with it. Thanks for the fabulous content you guys put out, love watching all you do. You crack me up Kevin the way you do your Mojo voice. Love it🥰
Once they leave seal it up. They will return to nest again. I had one at my moms in Mississippi in a old shed they came back 3 times before I got it sealed up so they couldn’t nest there anymore
Glad it was a baby vulture & not a bobcat or worse! 😱I really hope you can save & fix up the rock house. It's part of the history of the land. Can't wait to see what it looks like in a year. Stay safe out there, all kinds of critters on the land I'm sure. Some friendly & some not!! GOD Bless your Precious Family 🙏🙏💜🙏🙏 Love 💞 from NC 💜❤️
This property has so much potential and looks so intriguing. Your kids could have events out there with teaching moments. It’ll be interesting to see what is lurking behind those walls. I’m interested for you and your family as you embark on the adventures set before you. I’d be studying about the building time frame and attempt to see if you’d be able to renovate it to its original appearance.🙏🏻💕🙋🏼♀️
Sounds like Owls to me or buzzards. Very very cool building. That is one I'd save for sure! I have always wanted a pet vulture and yep they are protected. Please just call a rehab center if you don't want to wait for them to leave. They are such amazing animals and thank God for them, if we didn't have them we'd have nasty dead animals everywhere. But those are awesome!! What's that big siren???
Sounds like a vulture nest. The babies hiss when scared and the fact that you saw an adult fly close to the structure only reassures the idea. Good luck!

😆😂☺️Only staying for a while, just short term tenants ...Bit of work to fix the old structure, but worth it I believe.🤗
That building has so much potential. Crazy how those vultures make such a scary sound! Glad it wasn't a big cat!

What was the siren? You must hear it often because it didn't phase you at all!
That is a beautiful building! Look at the stones and imagine putting them in place one by one! Still looks pretty sturdy, just the roof needs replacing, it's not falling down or collapsing to the naked eye. Good luck on the purchase!
Once the babies are fledged out, and gone, you can work on restoring the building. It will make a nice little fishing cabin. 💖💖💖
My first thought was that there were babies of some kind in there but it didn’t sound like a cat. I would stay clear - mamas are very protective even if they are usually not aggressive. Wow…great footage! Congratulations on the new property.
That is a NEAT little house! Think of how hard it was to build! Such history. Beautiful property.
That was some scary sounds coming from that stone house. Never would have guessed it was young vultures.

Poured concrete walls, OSB roof decking and the framing around the door and 2nd floor triangle.
All scream 1960s build.
That's no mill or pump house
It’s a Vulture for sure!! It’s nesting there.
I've never heard noises like that. It's creeping me out. Just be careful. Glad it is just birds. That rock building is so awesome. Hopefully you keep it and make it nice
The cabin is awesome. It doesn't seem to be out of square. Can't wait to see you remodel it.

Very cool video Kevin. Mama Vulture had her eyes on you. What was the siren all about???? You didn’t get excited but I did! Dag

Wow Kevin that sounds like mountain lion. Freaky sounds it makes the hair on my neck stand up. Be careful. I love the rock house. God bless . Love ❤ you all.
That shed would make a great bath house.
That would be a good fish shack. And with those there maybe the worst snakes aren't in there. That's a nice place.
I wouldn't be surprised if the vultures took care of snakes in the area, along with carrion. Better than paying rent, till you get a chance to work on that great looking building.
That stone building would make a cute cottage.
Wow I am glad it was only birds. They will leave soon. Because you have been near the nest several times thay will leave as soon as they can.
Fantastic building! Wow, those birds have a great defense mechanism...scaring the beekeepers out of ya!
I'm glad you are being so careful, stay safe. I do hope you can relocate and not just kill. But I'll trust you to do the right thing.

Glad it was not a mountain lion. That siren reminded me of sirens from East Berlin after the wall went down they still had them for awhile.

I hope you can get that fantastic rock building restored. Love it.
Sure hope you're keeping the building - that exterior is gorgeous - Thanks for sharing....

That house would make a good wood shop for you Kevin .
I would definitely renovate it. With it this old, you might get a state grant.
Well that's interesting... I've seen Owls next in buildings and other small birds, but not big birds like that. Mystery solved😀👍🤗❤
The cabin looks like it can be fixed up. That will be a great place.
Kevin, you said the building has a basement. Is it possibly a boat house down there?
Wow, sounds like something from a horror movies.
I can't wait to see what you folks do with this new property. The rock house is so neat looking.
Thanks for sharing.

You should totally fix that old building up....how cool.
I worry about you working out there alone. I'm sure you are taking precautions and Rachel knows where you are. 😉 God bless you 🙏
