    One trick I learned is to get the toe stiffener a little bit wet if you are using a thicker vegetable tan piece, and letting it dry in place. Great job with the pattern. Making it is a blast!

    Soy de Lima(Perú) y le agradezco por dejar que veamos su trabajo,Hermosos trabajo en cuero,personalmente amo los botines y acabo de comprar 2 patrones de botines desde su página web,sino sería mucha molestia y para los que compramos sus patrones sería bueno que usted haga vídeos dónde se vea todo el proceso como corte de los patrones,costura,pegado,limado para la elaboración de los zapatos,POR FAVOR HAGA MAS VÍDEOS LARGOS COMO ESTOS DONDE SE VEA TODO EL PROCESO.

    I like to use isopropyl alcohol mixed with just 20% water for soaking the toe stiffener and heel counter it dries super hard and quickly too!

    Is the glue used on the vamp/toe contact cement? Or is it something more slow setting? Seems like it would be a bear to roll back the welt.

    also what about half sizes. those dont appear to be part of the patterns i found. do i just use the size up pattern and half size down last.?

    • @valevro.studio
      @valevro.studio  6 месяцев назад

      If, for example, you wear 42.5 EU, use the larger size, 43EU. It does not influence anything in the patterns, it is a very small difference. Thanks!

    be great if your not going to do any work! but the sole needs to be attached with more than just glue for me!!

    • @valevro.studio
      @valevro.studio  8 месяцев назад

      Hi,
      That is secondary sole, it's a sole which can be replaced after it is worn out. The main sole is stitched. According to everyone's wish, a stitch can also be made in the secondary sole. Thank you! 🖤

    How many ounces is the foot bed that you used? And what is the purpose for scratching the top coat off of the foot bed before attaching to the last?

    • @enki2958
      @enki2958 Год назад +1

      The footbed looks like at least 8 ounces thick. The scratching roughens up the surfaces so that the glue has a better grip.

      @@enki2958 okay thank you! I appreciate that. And I understand that part of scatching the leather, but why the inside of the footbed where the foot will be? Is it to glue the insole down to the footbed at the end?

      @@flightschoolcustomfootwear After rewatching the video I am not able to give a clear answer to that, sorry. But your suggestion seems to make sense.

      @@enki2958 okay thank you! I have to know about your name Enki. What made you choose that name?

    • @enki2958
      @enki2958 Год назад +1

      @@flightschoolcustomfootwear Since my youth when I left catholic church I was in search of different approaches to answer the big questions of life like "Who am I" or "What is the purpose of life"? And then I tapped into the occult, parapsychology, esoterics and spirituality to find answers. I read a lot of books to unlearn what garbage has been stuffed into my head in school. One author was Zecharia Sitchin. He writes/wrote about ancient history of humankind, especially the history of the middle east like Babylon and Sumeria. And Enki is the ancient "God" who created humans and who saved them from extinction. For that, if the stories are true, I am grateful. And because of that I chose his name as a nickname to remind myself that ALL life is worth being saved.
