I'm standing by the fact that the rye bread in the one I just reviewed was on the verge of being rancid. The chili cheese/butter whatever it is is AMAZING!! Everything looked spectacular! The Germans know how to make a ration! Awesome review!!

What a great vid! I have this exact ration on my kitchen table now; I love opening them with my youngest son and sharing the special treats over the next couple of weeks with him and the family. Got a French RCIR a few weeks ago and we are still finishing that one up. What a joy these things are in life. I think I, dare I say, may be enjoying this German ration more than the French one.....oui oui.

Yes it would have been nice to have a couple of those, but they can be unreliable (and that wouldn’t be very German). I think that’s why a lot of countries don’t have them in their rations. All the best 😊👍🏼 🇩🇪
German soldiers carry standard-issue utensils and equipment for heating meals as part of their personal gear, separate from the rations. - mess kit - portable stove (with solid fuel tablets) - utensils

I do believe that is chilli butter, but I might be mistaken.
It was definitely very creamy. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought it was going to be just chilli sauce. 😊👍🏼
