No bad for putting a Cadillac CTS-V motor in a boat. That motor has a growl in the the car, but in a boat motor, I'm impressed! That is BAD ASS! I would buy this over the other junk and have one less motor because of the power these put out. You need three Mercury's, compared only two these!
One thing to know about these motors is they weigh 1000lbs each. The Merc 300XS weighs 505lbs each. So the transom should be beefed up unless it was built to carry four Mercs.
I know it's shocking but there's plenty of use for go fast boats for fisherman. People who actually run tournaments and need to get out and back in as quickly as possible. Going 70 and going 40 is the difference between making it in and not making it in.

Except outboards offer better fuel efficiency and performance over comparable inboard engines, but I doubt you would know that.

70,000 for a motor for me would be better spent in a cat with a blown big block...way better wow value to me, but im not a fish head either.
Cheaper to just buy the ZL1 Camaro and replace your mercruiser with it!!!! LOL!
