This is right on point. 1st thong my coach told me "this is for fun, we don't pay but if you want we will do what we can to get you to that next level". And the field situation as well, my 1st game was in a small park on a field that looked like it was built for peewee, my teams home field was a small not very good old high school field, the nicest field was a small juco college field. You'll see many different things playing semi pro

I played semi-pro football when I was younger.
We didn't gathered $$$, but being with the guys was great. Also, we didn't had coaches, but player-coaches.
I remember we practiced our plays a few hours before games and sometimes I was forced to play offense, defense and on special teams, because we were just 21 athletes (minimum of players to play in the league back then).
But, at least, I enjoyed it!

I played HS football as a 3 year starter and then joined the Marines and missed out on college like my coach told me I could go easy but now I'm faster and stronger. This sounds great bet by next week I'm back up to 2O pull ups yessss!

@@Cody2nd depending upon the team for sure! I’ve heard of that being a thing before and have played against people that were in that same situation. So, if you come across a semi pro football team, just make sure you message them and see what’s up! Most of the time they will just want you to try out. And once they see what you got, they will go from there!

For semi pro football to be sustained there must be much community interest and willingness to come to and to watch games. What would generate community interest is having many interested athletes from the community prepare and compete in games. In high school football games against another out of town or nearby town school can draw large crowds, why can't a Sunday game involving adults draw the same?

I remember looking at this video the first time I saw it and I kinda scoff at it at first but then my freind I went to school with told me about it and he was like it would be fun and it’s good to try to get your film to hopefully play at the next level but man we just ended our season and we ended up going 11-0 and won our league championship and one of the best memories I will remember forever and it would also be good for my resume as well because I still want to go pro one day and I’m about to join the army and hopefully do well for the next few years and hopefully go pro from there🙏🏾

I just wanna try out football again n maybe get good at it. Past injuries have pushed me to not play until they got a lot better.

With all the great extent of popularity and interest in in American Football and the wealth of communities and people in general that exists in the United States, the vast majority of incorporated settlements and most counties would be capable of affording at least one community football team and play regularly scheduled league competitions against teams from other settlements and counties from with the same or close states every season. Large high School football stadiums can be used as venues or even built for the purpose and they'd be able to sell out and money from ticket sales and also a portion of sales of foods and drinks sold during games should be able to meet the running costs of the team during the season. And indeed, there can additionally be wealthy benefactors who back teams with additional money.
Costs can cover transportation, jersey, medical treatment and examinations, stipends for players, and also the running of indoor conditioning facilities and upkeeping of outside fields. There is no need for large numbers of state of the art exercise equipment, but a dozen or so squat and bench stations with their complement of weights, plyo boxes, and dumbbell racks will be sufficient.

@@Keefrica The main difference propably is that european teams are not being owned by a private owner but are usually part of bigger public sports clubs that offer a variety of different sports with several teams for players of different ages. So practically everyone can even join a club whose mens' team plays at the highest level of play in the country. Here in Germany that is the German Football League 1. It is hard to campare the level of play in the GFL 1 to the US but it propably ranges from Div II college to Div III college. And the GFL 1 is widely accepted to be the strongest league in Europe, sending players to us colleges and NFL training camps every year. Nevertheless: from highest level to lowest all european leagues are amateur leagues. Only a few players, mainly the 3 or 4 US -import players per team do get a bit of pocket money usually paid by a local sponsor. The other players pay to play, they buy their own equipment, they pay a monthly fee to co-finance travel costs and Jerseys. And every year a handfull of the 400 mens' teams is forced to fold for lack of money or players. So it sounds a lot like what you tell about semi pro in the US!
