As a spanish fan, I really like you're the only english speaker I've found that has recognized all the details of it being Spain xD. The big building references La Sagrada Familia cathedral of Barcelona, the stairs reference Park Guell of Gaudí, in Barcelona too, and the big square references Plaza Mayor/Puerta del Sol in Madrid. Also, the protagonist's house looks SUPER andalusian (I'm andalusian myself), not only the outside, but the inside decorations too, which also fits with it being next to the sea, so we might start the adventure on the south of the region. Also, in the first city with the cathedral, you can see mountains on the back. Since that city references Barcelona, on the north, the mountains are the Pyrenees, which connect to France, and Kalos has large mountains on the bottom of the map, so it's pretty safe to say these two regions are next to each other just like Spain and France.

I've been in Spain once (Malaga!!) and I definitely want to see soooo many more places and cities there. It's an absolutely gorgeous country and I adore it, and I am even more excited that we get a Pokémon game in that region. I haven't felt as excited since Alola ♥ I love how you put it together and I didn't even think about Kalos being the neighbour yet, but omg that makes me feel so excited because I love Gen 6 and I hope we get a lot of Pokémon from those gens ♥ Thank you!!
