    I remember the Doans commercials. Now the only commercials are lawyers wanting you to sue for medical malpractice and medicine side effects

    I don't know what the heck they used to put in Doan's pills, but I remember taking them in the '90s and being knocked flat on my back asleep. I wasn't good for much of anything until they wore off. 😬

    My mom used to buy these pills. I was skeptical that a medicine could selectively target the back. Pretty sure it was just Aspirin and good marketing.

      Not aspirin -- the active ingredient was magnesium salicylate. But eventually the FTC did come down on them for saying it was the best back pain reliever out there when there was no specific proof of that.
