People talking about AC ended at Syndicate but not realizing Origins is literally the “ORIGIN” Of the Brotherhood or hidden ones, AC Odyssey introduces us to isu, and what the artifacts really were. Valhalla is really the prelude to AC mirage the real runner up of their titles, they only made valhalla to introduce Basim and just to have a non related AC system.
Also to put some closure on Desmond’s story but yea it’s funny when people say origins- Valhalla aren’t ac games like bruh the lore and story is there it all ties together and just cause they’re giving more spotlight to the isu side that has been a mystery for a long time since odyssey, it’s not all about combat and can’t hide on a bench that makes an assassin creed game

Valhalla also let them just test out new features, I presume. As the game in terms of mechanics felt out of place. Good finisher but even my friend pointed out that the way the blood runs before and after you kill is weird and that origins did it better in terms of graphic content
most players just see AC games as “if they don’t have direct brotherhood content, it aint AC” but fr it’s BEFORE all that.
No they made Valhalla so they could have a Viking Assassin game. Basim is a side character, Mirage was never meant to be made originally.

For me it will always be Brotherhood. The AC game that literally touched my emotions in the deepest manner. Connor got the most painful storyline, followed by Bayek. But it will be Ezio who will forever be the face of AC games, playing as his character feels like a privilege that I wish I could enjoy for the rest of my life.
AC Origins was the Best AC ever it blended perfectly with the roots of the AC games but put it into a large scale rpg game, the game felt amazing, & personally I loved the fact it showed us the origins of the “Templar” - Order “Assassin” - Hidden Ones & both DLC’s were amazing as well.
Odyssey was an amazing RPG game but idk about Assassin part but it delved into the Over Arcing lore of the Isu very well
Valhalla honestly contrary to popular opinion was 1 of the best AC Games less because of game mechanics but because of the lore building it did & even the game mechanics it gave you choices on how to play you could play like an assassin or a Viking, & honestly The Layla Trilogy was absolutely amazing for overarching lore because the previous games we knew about the Isu but never dove into them much but with the RPG Trilogy it was perfect for it

It had alot of potential if they had kept arnos mentor alive (forgot his name, bellec i think?). He was the only character with a truly unique ambition and potential to create a story worthy to be one of the best ac games.
But no, they had to kill him halfway through the game and then made the main plot about arnos boring ass love interest

So, I want to get one of these games, but I’ve heard some are a lot better than others. I’m looking for more sneaky assassinations, and general assassin type stuff rather than a story. I’d asume they all have a story though, so whichever one focuses on the gameplay more than a story. Which game would be best for that?

Honestly Valhalla has got great stealth
Personally I think Unity has the best fleshed out assassin gameplay. The parkour is the peak of the series there, and stealth and combat are very fluid and just feel great. But the story wasn't my type, it was cool but other games had better stories. So if you don't really mind that, definitely go for Unity
AC Revelations was brilliant. The soundtrack, gameplay, acquisition and defence of territories and the story itself!

I'm so happy that AC 3 is the 2nd best selling game. It's criminally underrated, and personally I love Connor and the story is amazing. It's the only game in the series I played more than 5 times through the campaign. It deserves so much more love and I really really want a second game with Connor ❤

Eivor wipes the entirety of the order in England because of king alfred. Alfred then proceeds to form the templars under the banner of Christianity.
The Odin stuff is the same sage shit from ac 3 and it clearly explains the isu stuff.
Valhalla has way more ac lore than black flag, rogue, unity and syndicate combined.

There is a deep beauty to Assassin's Creed Unity's Paris and a lot of that is due to just how good it looks, but it is the NPCs and small, easy-to-miss details that really give it its character. Assassin's Creed: Unity, quite simply put, is far and away the best game in the series. It's great to see Ubisoft revisiting the series' roots with Mirage, but Unity truly felt like the last in the old era of AC games and you should absolutely play it in 2022.

Exactly, I completely agree, although I was surprised it was higher selling than the og ones. Probably because of the DLC. That DLC just didn’t miss, it was probably the best DLC out of all the ac games.

I actually thought the game was pretty good anyway, we saw Alfred dismanlte the order and create the templars. Some Viking history on the side. We learn a LOT about the Isu and Odin and all. We also got a continuation of Desmond's work and the whole catastrophe thing. Valhalla is massively underrated

@@akaspen4739 I think by "the expansion" you mean The dawn of Ragnarök, if that's what you meant than you don't actually have to play the Paris and druids DLC, all you really need to do is play the Asgard and Jotunheim story arcs if you haven't already. But no, Druids DLC is pretty short and to be honest so is the Paris one

honestly this might be a hot take but: the old AC games were good, but the newer ones like origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla were just plain fun, the abilities and arsenals of weapons were fun to play with and the goal of assassinating multiple people at once in valhalla and odyssey was just so fun to use

For me, AC unity takes the dub. That game has just always had a special place in my heart, some people may say the story was trash, or confusing, but I think it was a very well balanced storyline, and when they released the FREE DLC I was delighted to see Arno in another story, I have played almost all of the ac games, and I think that one just hits different, and the honestly the graphics were the best too. And again after playing almost all of the ac games, I think it was the most fun to play as Arno in unity out of every character in the ac series, even more than ezio’ and his games, while some of you might disagree, the game will always have a special place in my heart as my favorite ac game. And a thing for all of you gamers out there. If you haven’t played it before, you totally should even as late as now. Because when I played it, it was an easy 10/10
