    Geoff, thank you for this recipe. I like the electric whisk you used in this video. Easy to use and clean. If you don’t mind, can you tell me the name and brand? Thank you.

      Hi Cook Travels, thanks very much. The whisk I used was part of the Kenwood Triblade Hand Blender set which has other attachments too.

    hello! i love this recipe and cant wait to try it out. however, i do not have any ground almonds and do you know what i can do/replace it with?

      HI Rifqi. For the correct texture in the friands it is best to use ground almonds. However if you have access to ground hazelnuts they will also work very well. Maybe ground walnuts would work too.

    Hi
    My friands in the oven right now but the butter is bubbling is it okay?

    • @geoffsbakingblog
      @geoffsbakingblog  5 лет назад

      Hi Makellos r. If you mixed the butter into the batter until it was all fully incorporated it should be fine. I guess that by now you will have taken the friands out of the oven. Please let me know if they turned out ok.

      If you meant that the batter was bubbling that might mean that your oven it too hot.

      Unfortunately they failed .I did incorporate the butter well but it separated in the oven.
      Also I baked them for 30 min and they looks raw and wet inside.
      Any advice? I am going to make it tomorrow.
      I’m using a fan oven on 180c

      @@Whenwillit I am sorry they failed. The recipe should work very well. In case you didn't read the recipe on my blog I am putting it below. Just a couple of things to mention. The first is that make sure you only use the white of the eggs, not the yellow part(yolks). Then second is to ensure that the butter is fully mixed into the batter, which takes a couple of minutes of stirring. Finally look at my video to see the consistency of the batter as it is spooned into the holes of the pan. That is what your batter should be like. Please let me know how you get on tomorrow.
