Wow. Great job Ray. You showed how cinematic you can get with a crop sensor and really great, affordable lenses. Best part, you were probably working with & shooting your favorite people.
Thanks, Sean. Definitely a fun time. The key is the edit. So much fun to shoot all that great footage but the finished edit is the real gift to my family. I look forward to my daughter rediscovering these vids when she's all grown up.
Thanks for sharing these awesome shots as I was blown away. Fantastic videography too. Now, for the first time, I am convinced that this will be my next lens.
Great footage, nice editing and lovely photography Ray. What a location. This is on my bucket list of places to go. The little one will have some fond memories of this as will you. 👍🏻
Beautiful! Used to go here on our summer vacations as a kid. Still as inspiring as the first time there, at least with you operating the camera. Great work, Ray!
Thanks, Curtis, very kind! I've been a handful of times and each time there is a new experience to be had and amazed by. This time is was being at the base of El Cap.
Thanks. This was mostly made for my family and in fact every time you see my daughter in a video, those shots are for her...much later...hopefully RUclips will be around for her to discover them;) But yes, it's fun to share moments like these with the channel and I'm thankful that yourself and others enjoy them. Happy holidays.
Great vid. Did u do record on 4k, seems like theres a lot of shake and ibis isnt helping. I have the same camera setup but for some reason i find 10-18 lens to be more useful with 4k mode due to the shakes and jitters
Thanks, Ben. Yes, recorded in 4K. I don't find IBIS will do much when walking, you're definitely going to see plenty of shake and I'm also not walking the way you would if you were trying to limit shake. And the Sony IBIS is only good for removing jitter when handheld, more than it prevents shake.
Once I met a bear in the mirror lake trail. It was night and I was walking no head lamp (it died on me - very lucky!) and went straight into him or her. Was very unhappy and stinky. I kept walking past and it started pouring down with rain. 2hrs hike to the campsite; lost my favourite beanie on my way down; one bottle of wine to relax and very bad sleep (somebody was shooting at night). In the morning I was told a bear came close and rangers scared him away. Strange feeling that was Yogi I met that night :)
Good Job RAY ! I'm French and I like your video...it's amazing ! Can you tell me the name of the music because it's very nice ? I'm sorry, my English is not perfect :)

I was wondering? Did you used some kind of gimbal? The shots seems very stable, the vlogging parts on the other hand were shaky.
No gimbal, all handheld.

Well, you are still too young to say that... eat good food, herbs, exercise. Wish you very good health. 😊
@@KetansaCreatesArt Thanks a bunch, stay well.
Gorgeous view. But the question is, when you got to the top, did you figure out whether Yosemite is more stable than High Sierra? 😆
Ha, nerd jokes;)
