Meme si on n aime pas le timbre ou le personnage on ne peut pas mettre un pouce negatif... Ils sont a l aise tous les 2 et chantent cet air, qui est extrêmement difficile, les doigts dans le nez (essayez de le chanter croyiez moi faut s armer de patience au début et il faut bcp de maitrise vocale et de technique), Maintenant, pour la complicité je ne rejoins pas les autres avis, j avais ma preference avec la gheorghiu. C t different et c aussi pr moi de la nostalgie car g grandi avec eux deux et g bcp appris.... Bises a roberto et aleksandra et bravo vous etes incroyables
Gheorghiu en butterfly ? C’est vraiment pas l’idéal... son « quanto Cielo » en force, puis noyée dans l’orchestration... par chance elle n’a jamais tenté le live car elle se serait bien plantée...
Alagna is a middle-aged man and there is NO REASON to be seen in public looking like he does unless you are going from home to the gym and right back home. Take a look at the great singers of the 50's and 60's at work. ALWAYS professional and stylish (think Callas and Price). I've said for a long time that singers today look like slobs...case in point, Alagna.

We have MANY photos of them in rehearsal (Callas and Del Monaco at the piano rehearsing "Norma", Price is caught on film rehearsing "Anthony and Cleopatra" Verrett and Pavarotti rehearsing "Tosca" at the piano at the Met, caught on film, in fact I SAW Scotto rehearsing with Opera Orch. a scene from "Anna Bolena". They ALWAYS looked professional and beautifully dressed. Alagna LOOKS LIKE A SLOB. Years ago (long before he was president) someone asked Trump why he always wore a jacket. His answer...It's what people expect!
On przy niej odmłodniał a ona przy nim wyładniała(jeszcze bardziej).Piszę po polsku bo to wiadomośc dla p. Aleksandry .Co miłość robi z ludzmi to przyjemnie popatrzeć:-)

- Piękną cechę miał Dmitri Hvorostovski - nie zagłuszał partnerek, tym bardziej z tak pięknym głosem. Panie Alagna, cudnie Pan śpiewa, ale głos Aleksandry przy Pana ginie, niestety, a jest przecudny. Proszę to dostrzec.
To nie była piękna cecha Hvorostovskiego tylko wada :) To są śpiewacy operowi a piosenkarze pop. Śpiewak ma dotrzeć do ostatniej osoby siedzącej w teatrze a nie patrzeć się, że zagłusza głos partnerki na scenie bo to byłby absurd. Pozdrawiam :)
@@merkson9130 No to te sama "wade" ma Piotr Beczala - tez uwaza, ze nie nalezy byc samolubnym na scenie! Mnie natomiast razi to, ze Roberto zawsze umieszcza siebie na pierwszym miejscu w tych wszystkich filmikach.
I'm sorry, but this is one of the most unsatisfactory renditions I have heard. The soprano has a beautiful voice, but the tenor, uncharacteristically, sounds rough and the orchestra dominates rather than helps the singers. There is no comparison between this and the quality of Carreras and Scotto 1974, and I'm not favouring the old one for the sake of it. Theirs is by far the best, to my ear.
Mi piace ma ....Quando cantava con sua ex moglie Angela Gheorghiu era angelico il duetto ,mi sembra che la actuale Sig.Alesandra canta ma non si capisce piu bene le parole la voce non e cristalina.Scusi ma e la mia impresione.

Oneself learn much more watching and hearing rehearsals but enjoy the opera greatly with customs and performing at the theater live.
