Thomas Markle made mistakes, for sure. But it’s breathtaking how cruel & unforgiving MM is to her FATHER. The man who gave her everything & made her future what it was. If Harry thinks that could never happen to him, he’s sorely overestimating her capacity for loyalty.

Yes I agree. When she first came on the scene I really liked her and thought her and Harry would be a great couple with common interests. Then I saw her interacting with people on walk abouts and I thought there was something very off about her She was very charming and sweet to people but it seemed to be a bit over the top and fake. As the weeks went on I was more and more convinced that she was acting. Then came the high turn over of staff and I was convinced that Meghan was not who she pretended to be. I bought the Tom Bower book because I wanted to see if she was as bad as I thought she was. The book showed that she was far worse than I had thought she was. Tom Bower has said that people should see all the things he couldn’t put into the book. The mind boggles.

I recently read the unabomber’s anti-technology manifesto. This isn’t a blanket endorsement of his philosophy (nor methods, goes without saying), but he had a really insightful way of understanding weaponized compassion. He talks about it being more about fulfilling the emotional needs of those professing to be humanitarians than meeting the needs of those they profess to help.
It’s a more useful model for understanding this than merely labeling them as narcissists because he explains why this type of humanitarian usually acts in ways that engender conflict rather than compromise to achieve greater gains for those they profess to be dedicated to.
He posits it’s how people who are frustrated by their low competency cope with their resentment of those whose merit places them at advantage in a fair competition.
In other words, when they can’t win, they start trying to prove they’re superior to their opponent because they’re nicer. But it’s motivated by resentment, not kindness, and it shows.

She just imitates everyone she's with. Daddy's in the acting/lighting business, so she's gonna be an actress. She gets an internship, she's gonna be a diplomat, she marries a producer, and then in Netflix and spotify she's gonna produce all these shows and "rom-coms." Direct from Trevor. She gets in Suits and she's a lawyer and paralegal in her mind, because she thinks she's Rachel Zane. Then she gets with this chef and becomes a cook, lifestyle/food blogger, and cookbook writer. She goes and takes pictures with some kids in Africa and now she's an humanitarian, when all she really is is an empty shell. There truly IS nothing in there. Really, she can do NONE of these things, and she hurts everyone she comes in contact with and uses people up and spits them out. Trail of wreckage everywhere she goes. I pity the next Rube she sets her eyes on to fleece.

Meghan wanted to be a movie star - not a good actor. She didn't want to put in the work by doing theater. If she was smart she would have realized that the most brilliant actors started out in theater - almost mandatory in the UK. Having 'Theater' as a major is like having Philosophy as a major. The jobs/career prospects are limited. The most frustrating thing about her is how she now inserts the narrative of race, when it was never an issue at all - it's just an excuse for why she didn't get cast. I wonder what she would have done if she didn't get the role in 'Suits' because she was already passing the age of 30.
Looking forward to the next chapter :)

I don't have the husband, or the kids or the house that I thought I would have. While I didn't "wait" for a man ( I worked and put myself through engineering school) I still felt like I was needing a man to "get this party started" and it hasn't happened. I am very comfortable being single, fixing minor things on my own car, baking my own brownies, fixing my own plumbing issues...and at this age I am not sure that a wonderful man is going to appear.....and people need to realize good people can still end up single.

What people do Not understand about grooming is the predator:s ability to empathize and sympathize with your struggles. They manipulative you into LOVING them and believing they're absolutely on your side. Whatever they do is for YOU. We see this in all domestic violence situations, sexual abuse and Romantic Manipulators. Like a predator that sees children abandoned by their fathers as vulnerable this is absolutely no different in my mind.

These people don’t target you because they empathise or sympathise with you in any way, shape or form.. but because of the attention *you* pay *them*. Because *you* empathise and sympathise with *their* struggles/victimhood/wrongs that have been done to them. Because you are endlessly compassionate and forgiving of the wrongs that *they* are doing you *you* ( always *your* fault by the way. Their laundry list of all your alleged (imagined) transgressions and faults is endless). It’s *your* job to make them happy, but they are never happy, and therefore, you are constantly failing them, and they will tell you so 24/7. You will turn yourself into a pretzel attempting to meet their demands and fulfil their orders of what you need to do to make them happy..but they are constantly shifting the goalposts. They also have violent tempers, and while you wouldn’t harm a fly, and definitely not someone you love, they have no compunction at all about inflicting every sort of harm imaginable on you.. and either they’ll be so sorry, and you, dumb you, forgives them… or, it was your fault, you made them do it…. or, as has happened in my case far too many times.. She is a 1 dimensional person, hence the quality of her acting is limited to how she perceive herself. The girl thinks she’s flawless, and anything in the arts as part of the learning curve is acknowledging mistakes. She puts more effort taking risks to network with others and hustling than she did pushing her limits and try to add variation to her acting. Her result is being stuck playing seedy characters ironically. Doesn’t help that is who she is, she had no conscience about the idea of reading a book of how to manipulate men of certain stature to marry her. That’s pretty low, both in the lack of confidence to being a genuine person and tricking someone to love a facade. Does anyone see a pattern here? Big, grand goals, but no desire to work or apply herself towards those goals. Constantly changing these goals when like a moth to the light she flits to the next goal she deems instagram worthy. Obsession with a man; seemingly falling madly in love with him instantly in a very shallow superficial way but grows tired of him once he stops pleasing her/ supplying her with money, status, opportunities and adoration. Attributing praise and complements about herself to a third party when in reality these praises actually originate from her? Pretending to be innocent and naive when that image suits her goal, but pretends she is the savvy hard headed business woman, who is sexually sophisticated when that suits her.

      Megs were at Highgrove Park
      (Charles country home) that she
ticked off Camilla because of the
way she was playing up to Charles.
Camilla never argues or tries to
reason with Charles (he won't listen
to anyone and like the narcissist that
he is, he has surrounded himself with
sycophants) She just takes off to her
own private home (its about 15 min.
drive from Highgrove ) and gives him
a good letting alone until he comes
to his senses. Eventually, he comes
over to see /call her (By then he's
probably figured out what he did
      to upset her)

Yet, when she returned home to become "rich and famous" (she never gave specifics on how) she couldn't even be independent with a pricey college degree. I know her alma mater *very* well. It's not ivy league, but has ivy league prices. And while they have many lovely graduates, there are just as many who, upon graduation, expect a hefty return on the investment. The big joke is that their freshman are required to take "name dropping 101," namely because graduates will use the status and connections the school affords them to climb socially and otherwise, even if they don't always have the talent or skills to back it up. Again, this doesn't apply to all their graduates. But another common characteristic is that they "don't play well with others." While I hear the atmosphere in LA may have similar qualities & may have shaped MM just as much, it's also safe to say I know her type, and have for a while. People who actually have Narcissistic Personality Disorder tend be be fairly shallow and one-dimensional creatures because their entire sense of self and personality is basically shattered in early childhood. Therefore, it's difficult for them to create a multi-dimensional, nuanced personality. Which is what acting really is. That's not to say some people with NPD aren't very high functioning and can't do that, NPD is a spectrum, but if your a much less self-aware narcissist (which I think MM is) you would have a really hard time creating a while new person, a whole new character as an actor.
