I appreciate your view. Racism obviously exists and I've seen it, heard it, and called it out where I could, which I can do without much danger because I'm white. Things are getting better very, very slowly in some ways and getting set back in others in the US. That said, I see no evidence that racism has ever touched Meg and I resent her claiming it. And William's warning to Harry was most likely the speed of the relationship and "vibes" he got from her, not her pretty caramel skin. I have one child and wondered a lot about what she would look like and whose traits she would inherit--doesn't matter but fun to speculate! 😄

And he could just go to his dad or brother if he needed anything else because, let's be honest, they both thought part of their jobs was to guide and lead Harry. He tossed it all away... For what? It wasn't to get out of the eyes of the paparazzi. It wasn't to fade into a quiet life (he could have done that within the RF, they were willing to move him to South Africa). It wasn't just Harry bleating on about his finances, it was their immaturity and self-absorption that irked me. That entire interview was riddled with complaints about what Harry's family hadn't done to help them. From financial 'struggles' to mental health difficulties, the fault lay not with their own ineptitude, but with (then) 72yr old papa, 94yr old granny, and everyone else in between. It was utterly astonishing. Harry was then 36yrs old, and MM was approaching her 40th birthday, yet they were behaving like children who don't yet have the maturity to realise that members of their family lead their own very busy lives and cannot go about their day with H & M as their number one priority. At Harry and Meghan's ages most people would be looking at the senior members of their families, caring about their well-being and wondering if they could help in any way. Not these two! It was the other way round. It really opened my eyes to the mental level and worldview that these two operate on.

Allegedly keeping Harry out of trouble and covering up his mistakes was a full time job for several people. You would have thought that his choice of partner would have been vetted more carefully. I think you have a point about MM aligning with fairytales. As soon as she came out with that nonsense about being unable to leave her home, images of Rapunzel flashed into my mind. Then, later on in the interview, she described her 'plight' of having no voice as being like that of the Little Mermaid. You've kind of covered Cinderella, but there's also Harry's belief that animals respond to MM's singing, which was a bit Snow White'ish. If, as many people believe, MM is a narcissist, then this probably isn't so surprising. She has spent a lifetime emulating others and in the process has failed to develop a personality of her own. She's just an amalgamation of every character who has a trait she admires and wants for herself.
It is the job of the BRF to serve the people of the UK. Most senior members know that & appreciate the privileges that come with that service. The fact that PH expects the UK taxpayer to foot the bills for him & fam to live that privileged life while giving nothing in return is galling.
I watched the Oprah interview completely neutral. While the accusations against the RF and the nonsensical finger pointing about security raised my eyebrows, I remember the moment that I began to suspect her of deliberately constructing an elaborate lie. At some point after Harry entered the interview, he started to respond to a question and to stop him she rather roughly grabbed him by the forearm and her whole face changed to a very angry expression.
Harry looked uncomfortable and actually hesitated when Oprah asked 'Do you think she saved you?'. That should have been an immediate yes, but he paused.

About the backyard wedding lie. It came after princess's Beatrice small lockdown wedding. Her wedding was hailed as classy and beautiful and very dignified in its minimalism. My personal, unsubstantiated feeling was that Meghan was jealous of this praise, so she immediately jumped in with a lie of 'I had a small wedding too'. I felt this way because this seems to be a pattern with her. Zara had a miscarriage, then Meghan had a miscarriage. Zara gave birth home on the bathroom floor, next thing Meghan is having a home birth too. There were rumors circulating that Beatrice wanted to name her daughter after the Queen, except Meghan named her daughter after the queen first. I don't know, maybe I'm spotting a pattern where there isn't one, but that's how it felt the minute I heard about their private wedding on Oprah. I immediately went 'oh, just like Beatrice, right?'

She certainly lives under the "anything you can do, i can do better!" mantra, except her attempts are not genuine. Her chilren's book came out right before the book Katherine put together. M's felt so lazy compared to Karherine's project which took much time and consideration. Beatrice's wedding was so lovely. The Queen loaning her the dress and B using the same tiara as her granny did on her own wedding day was so sweet and gave such special touches.
Personally, so IMHO I think there was more than one incident that took place & Megs in usual fashion realigns them to suit her narrative. Catherine had the task of mentioning to Megs about her behaviour regarding her treatment of staff; she falls to the floor, starts crying and instead of an adult conversation Catherine is completely wrong footed and then turns up with flowers thinking she had misjudged the way she handled this. Now take the bridesmaid incident when Catherine was about to give birth, add a bit of that and bit of this (treatment of staff \ now known bully accusations) and you have Megs reworking the narrative. As with the conversation H had with ''someone'' about the 'hues' of his unborn child \ that was before they were even married. That 'Archie' would not be a Prince like Prince Williams children (correct as he was heir to the throne) and you have Megs spinning the narrative, Archie is not a prince because he is mixed race.
Let's not forget that Meghan said '... and I forgave her'. I thought that statement was so pretentious. If anything, Catherine was trying to be a peacekeeper (I don't believe she made Meghan cry) unlike Meghan, who holds a grudge. And needs to be right.

I saw the adverts leading up to the interview and that was enough to decide to watch it. I didn't watch it then and have only ever seen the clips that are shown since. I just couldn't bring myself to listen to the couples whingefest.
She took a private Etiquette class and the gentleman who gave it to her has actually spoken out about it on SM. As for the titles, she actually made reference to the 1917 letters patent, that has been ignored by everyone. I blame Oprah for letting all these lies be realeased. Yes, we all know a Meghan. I am retired and my sorority sisters got together for a reunion. Our Meghan came and acted as if she remembered none of us. We ignored her and she disappeared for the weekend. We all felt it was a ruse to tell her husband to meet someone. Meghans never change even in their 60’s.

She lied her butt off on international tv . . She wanted Archie to have a prince title when she knew only Williams kids were eligible to have HRH prince & HRH princess titles while the queen was still alive . She was so envious of William & Catherine's postion in pecking order of the family . She wants to be queen so bad it is killing her she will never wear that crown . Thank you for your articulate and succinct thoughts here. This episode has re- confirmed that it was the Oprah interview that turned me against the Sussex’s. Before that I knew little of them and quite liked them. Had they not sought publicity I would never have delved further and realised just how awful they both are. There are no excuses anymore. I think if the RF had stripped their titles after this interview the Sussex’s would have spun it to to say we told you so!

Thank goodness HRH prince William was the first born Diana knew she was raising a future King so she made sure that he knew that not everyone lived like them. She took him to the homeless shelters has well has showing both boys that ordinary children went to theme parks, Mac Donald’s. Never asked for places to close they learned how to queue and wait. I've taken the UK citizenship exam. No where, I mean no where I had to learn the national anthem. It was mainly an English language test with a bit of English history and council things and there's a book to read to clear it. Harry was then 36yrs old, and MM was approaching her 40th birthday, yet they were behaving like children who don't yet have the maturity to realise that members of their family lead their own very busy lives and cannot go about their day with H & M as their number one priority.
At Harry and Meghan's ages most people would be looking at the senior members of their families, caring about their well-being and wondering if they could help in any way. Not these two! It was the other way round. It really opened my eyes to the mental level and worldview that these two operate on.

I think you have a point about MM aligning with fairytales. As soon as she came out with that nonsense about being unable to leave her home, images of Rapunzel flashed into my mind. Then, later on in the interview, she described her 'plight' of having no voice as being like that of the Little Mermaid. You've kind of covered Cinderella, but there's also Harry's belief that animals respond to MM's singing, which was a bit Snow White'ish.
If, as many people believe, MM is a narcissist, then this probably isn't so surprising. She has spent a lifetime emulating others and in the process has failed to develop a personality of her own. She's just an amalgamation of every character who has a trait she admires and wants for herself.

I watched the Oprah interview completely neutral. While the accusations against the RF and the nonsensical finger pointing about security raised my eyebrows, I remember the moment that I began to suspect her of deliberately constructing an elaborate lie. At some point after Harry entered the interview, he started to respond to a question and to stop him she rather roughly grabbed him by the forearm and her whole face changed to a very angry expression.
She is diabolical.
Harry looked uncomfortable and actually hesitated when Oprah asked 'Do you think she saved you?'. That should have been an immediate yes, but he paused.
I showed my husband a clip of the part with the arm grab-his eyes got wide and he said “those two are not okay”

About the backyard wedding lie. It came after princess's Beatrice small lockdown wedding. Her wedding was hailed as classy and beautiful and very dignified in its minimalism. My personal, unsubstantiated feeling was that Meghan was jealous of this praise, so she immediately jumped in with a lie of 'I had a small wedding too'. I felt this way because this seems to be a pattern with her. Zara had a miscarriage, then Meghan had a miscarriage. Zara gave birth home on the bathroom floor, next thing Meghan is having a home birth too. There were rumors circulating that Beatrice wanted to name her daughter after the Queen, except Meghan named her daughter after the queen first. I don't know, maybe I'm spotting a pattern where there isn't one, but that's how it felt the minute I heard about their private wedding on Oprah. I immediately went 'oh, just like Beatrice, right?'

As with the conversation H had with ''someone'' about the 'hues' of his unborn child \ that was before they were even married. That 'Archie' would not be a Prince like Prince Williams children (correct as he was heir to the throne) and you have Megs spinning the narrative, Archie is not a prince because he is mixed race.

Thank you for your articulate and succinct thoughts here. This episode has re- confirmed that it was the Oprah interview that turned me against the Sussex’s. Before that I knew little of them and quite liked them. Had they not sought publicity I would never have delved further and realised just how awful they both are. There are no excuses anymore.

Thank goodness HRH prince William was the first born Diana knew she was raising a future King so she made sure that he knew that not everyone lived like them. She took him to the homeless shelters has well has showing both boys that ordinary children went to theme parks, Mac Donald’s. Never asked for places to close they learned how to queue and wait. Hence we now have a grounded HRH prince and princess of Wales who are our future monarchy.

I've taken the UK citizenship exam. No where, I mean no where I had to learn the national anthem. It was mainly an English language test with a bit of English history and council things and there's a book to read to clear it. You don't need Google for it.😂
