I wonder if people who hate on dub voice actors have seen these videos and realize how much time and hard work goes into dubbing a show. Don't hate on the actors, hate on the directors/producers if anything.
I think voice actors over all don't get the same amount of respect or credit as others actors. It's not fair at all, they are incredibly underrated. I've always shown my love and respect because it is hard work and they deserve to be recognized.
+mslita09 I want to become a voice actress when I'm older but I think I won't make it since it's a pretty hard job to get, especially here in Germany, and I also have other future wishes that don't quite work with this one. However I will still try to do it (at least as a hobby) and I always respected voice actors.
Dub is still utter trash
+Galen Vaughn It's funny, because most of the people I know who have now decided they hate dubbed anime, originally found anime through the English dubs. There's nothing wrong with dubbed anime if it's done right, and in some cases it can actually be better than the original Japanese voice acting (see Baccano).
Most weebs just decide they want to hear Japanese schoolgirls screaming in their anime, and ditch English dubs entirely. If the Japanese dub is good, I stick to the original. If the English dub sounds better, I watch it with the English dub.
Good voice actors are good voice actors, and so long as the script isn't changed, they're both down to preference. There is no "better".

I love sub and dub. Funimation does a great job to keep it close to the sub. Better than 4kids.

they only have booths big enough for one person at a time, so they can't all do it at the same time like you can in a lot of the japanese studios. you can probably find separate videos of them all acting though
That's how they do it in Japan, and dubbers in the Philippines too. They are all in a booth and take turns with the mic when their characters speak. But I think these guys take dubbing or voice acting seriously and wants the voice to be actually in sync with the character's action and mouth movements. They actually don't want to be one frame early or late.

SonicSanctuary I'm not so sure, quite honestly Moxxi/Chopper was something I had learned not but a few days prior to my first post on this. Regardless, I know for sure that this is something I wanna do for a living- it's so much fun, in my opinion, and I am looking forward to the next role this lady has ;)

Yes, I do. But I prefer to watch the DUB over subbed episodes. Not that I have anything against the Japanese dub, but I just REALLY like being able to watch a good translation of One Piece!

I feel bad of myself now, cause I don't like English dub, but after saw this video, well... it shows me that the dubbing session needs so much effort to create a single line voice, I'm so sorry that I used to hate the English dubs, I appreciate the great work although the Japanese is still the best.
Yeah this was definitely an eye opener and an awakening moment! I watched about 700 of the dubs and then had to switch to subs because the dubs weren't caught up with the latest episode lol. I do prefer the dubs but I love both equally.

I always loved her early work especially. She has such a genuine sound when playing chill characters. School Rumble might be the first show where I noticed her performance and took note of how real she sounded.

I really hope they release the new dubs soon and never stop because I will NEVER switch to sub I appreciate the dub so much and it has so much emotion as opposed to just reading basically and trying to pay attention to what’s happening at the same time which definitely atleast for me distracts from the emotions being felt as much with any show, those who try to get people to switch to sub are the reason they probably delay it so much because they think it isn’t popular but trust me I’m staying loyal to dub especially with one piece all the characters have their own personality and voice and I’m not losing that just because dubs take time and effort which they clearly put in plenty of, thank you everyone who creates the dub PLEASEEE for the loyal fans don’t stop it and try to force us into the sub because I won’t do it and one piece is my favorite show I will wait years if I must for those dubs but no matter what please dub the entire show if it’s possible it would be really sad for me to never see the end of the greatest anime I’ve ever seen by far, good job everyone keep it up pleaseee haha, if it ever gets fully released as a dub on dvd I’m buying the whole series and showing it to my kids and anyone else who hasn’t seen it because one piece is amazing not to sound like a super fan it just really has so much to appreciate with the character development and story and the fight scenes and everything is just perfect even the fillers are usually really good and usually have a connection of importance anyways, I hope one day they speed up the dub again or release a lot more at once because lately getting new episodes has been like trying to conserve the last bits of food like stranded sanji and especially with the new season lately I’ve been feelin more like Zeff 😂 chillin with nothin to eat at all but a bag of gold I dun need (episodes I’ve seen) lol see wut I did there

OMG, 13:07 I've done cut n paste recording work with music alot, and as kids used to dub 8mm Rodan/Godzilla movies with a cassette rec/player for fun and looked/sounded great but wow, they are perfectionists with timing to the mouth movements to the millisecond. UGH!! I thought she nailed it several times. I mean really??? It's not an easy job. BTW Brina is one of my fav's now. RESPECT!

Honestly, doing voice over for anime would be my DREAM JOB. I wouldn't even CARE about having to stay in a sound studio for hours on end, because seeing and hearing MY voice coming out an beloved character would mean more to me than ANY amount of money.
