  • Hi YT friends, Today we will be adding some river rock drainage solutions, a rain garden, to our front yard landscape design and also show you how we maintain our stone pathways in our backyard. Our drainage is pretty awful and we have been wanting to do this for years. We are finally making it happen! I would love to hear about the creative ways that you handle your drainage issues? Please don't forget to like and subscribe abd we love to hear from you, so leave a comment or a smile! Thank you for joining us today and hope you have a great day! ~ Dawn #riverrocks #drainagesolutions #landscapedesign #raingarden #diy

That’s very sweet! We do get a lot of compliments, but there are so many other beautiful yards in our neighborhood!

Looks great Dawn! While I was watching I was thinking "Wow, that's a lot of work to be doing while we're in the peak of summer"! But then I think I heard you say you did this earlier this summer, very smart! It looks beautiful. One of the things I love the most about your garden spaces are the lines and pathways and natural rock!

Love the lines of that front bed! I have a rock rose currently thriving in a similar high drainage area… in case you wanted to consider a plant later. Also, you look so cute gardening with your sun hats!🙌

Thank you Natalie! I also have a rock rose thriving in a wet spot and I never thought about putting it there! It may get to big, so I’ll have to think about that! I’m glad you said that about my hats…the bigger the better…lol! I’m tired of the sun on my face and neck!

Hi @charm313, Yes, it IS a rain garden that directs the water to the oak tree roots:)

Hello! I love your video and it’s very helpful! The part where you pulled the water hose from, really caught my attention! We’ve been looking for something like that. Where did you get that retractable water hose space saver from? We really want one of those!

Hi Yolie, Thank you so much! Yes, we love our hose reel and got it at Costco. We liked it so much, we now have 2. It's a Sunneday Retractable Garden Hose Reel With Hose. We did get it on sale, but it is well worth the money. I know some can be built pretty cheaply.
