  • Hi YT Friends, Today, as we enjoy a #gardentour of our Texas Zone 8b Front Yard at the beginning of August, I will show you how to harvest hardy hibiscus seeds and for some good 'ole #containergardening, we will plant up a Gorgeous Southern Living "Twist of Pink" Variegated Oleander. Please be cautious and research Oleander before planting in your yard as it can be poisonous to animals. I was inspired by our summer vacation to Greece and Italy to plant more oleanders in my yard! They love the drought and the heat! Thank you for joining me in my garden today...I am so happy you are here! Happy Gardening ~ Dawn

Hello, Dawn!!! Gorgeous Garden as always!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love all the plants you have and thanks for the tips and tricks!!!!
What did you do with the spent blooms donu just toss it in the trash or u put it in the compost area?????
Is gypsum really help with clay soil? And also compost???
I'm amending our Raised Bed Garden because there is a clay soil in it!!!!
I'm doing the method kinda the no dig no till.

Hi Michelle, Thank you so much! I toss the blooms, but would love to compost them...if I ever create a compost bed! How fun and I hope it all goes well! Yes, compost, a mulchy landscapers mix and gypsum will help your clay soil. Some expanded shale or pea gravel will help the drainage...

Hi, I just found your YT channel. I absolutely love your front and backyard garden beds and potted plants. May I ask where you source your seeds from? I would like to try my hand with starting seedlings.

Hi Melissa, Thank you so much for the nice words! I actually get my seeds everywhere...it really depends on shipping discounts! My GO TO because of free shipping is Baker Seeds, but I also order from Johnny's, Eden Brothers, and will pick up varieties from local nurseries as well. Hope that helps and you should definitely start! It's actually a little addicting...take that back, it's very addicting...lol!

Hi there! After this video, I bought some twine and it is hardly visible, so from this point forward, I will keep it tied up as long as it takes!
