    I would love a setup like this in my backyard in central Florida. The environment here is rough with weather and bugs and growing super healthy plants on a Tower Garden would set them up for success. 👍🏻

      You're welcome! You can grow all kinds of crops according to the season. Aeroponic towers can be set up in almost any climate except for extremely low temperatures below freezing or very high temperatures above 40°C. In such cases, indoor growing or a climate-controlled greenhouse may be required.

    So, in Japan, we have pretty aggressive local molds and yearly typhoons. How do these handle wind? Would I need to add bracing to them? Do these towers have some sort of anti-fungal coating? My friend grows thai basil in a pretty expensive and fussy hydroponic setup and he has to pretty much take it apart every three weeks to get rid of the mold that builds up.

    • @Agrotonomy
      @Agrotonomy  4 дня назад

      These aeroponic towers are built strong and can handle winds up to 100 km/h, supported by the water in the reservoir to keep them stable, so they won't tip over easily. If you can maintain the correct levels of humidity, you will not encounter mold issues.

    Wow on the basil!! I have a Tower Garden inside. I just moved on 20 acres and I'm growing in soil but truth be told I would prefer doing all of my growing in the Tower Garden. Lets run some numbers. For the price of thick cedar and high quality soil, one tall 4x8 bed gets pretty pricy. I think I'm going to build a huge deck off of my screened porch and put about 8 -10 Tower Gardens out there. How fun would that be?!?

    • @atomizer2665

      You can build your own genuine aeroponic towers for a fraction of the price Juice Plus wants for their so called "aeroponic" Tower Garden.

      @@atomizer2665 I know and I have. But the materials used are amazingly high quality. The lights are powerful. I have let the pump run dry for 8 to 10 hours straight multiple times and it still works. I knocked the entire thing over and nothing broke not even the lights and it hit hard. Plus I find the white glossy columns aesthetically pleasing. The timers are easy to use too. Almost 4 years of use and it looks like new and it has been abused. There is no way I could ever make something so perfect and I'm very handy. Best money I ever spent and I will gladly pay for another. It sits between my great room and kitchen so looks are important. My brother mocked me for spending so much and he said exactly what you said. When he was looking at how it was fabricated and the high quality materials he changed his mind which never happens. I should sell these things because it is literally my favorite all time purchase! You should get one. But if you like what you're using maybe not. I spent about a year experimenting with multiple setups and nothing compares.

      Tower garden resellers make a point of telling folks the tower is made from FDA approved, food safe resins etc. What they fail to mention is the pump and its power cord that resides in the nutrient reservoir 24/7, isnt even certified for potable water. Its easily confirmed by emailing Sicce in Italy.

    • @Agrotonomy
      @Agrotonomy  Месяц назад +2

      8 to 10 towers is definitely a wonderful idea! Please note that if you're considering 10 towers, you should get a Tower Farm instead of 10 Tower Garden units. The towers are almost the same but the Tower Farm can be configured to be taller. The advantage of a Tower Farm versus 10 Tower Gardens is that the water and nutrients are supplied to each tower on an as-needed basis. For instance, a tower growing parsley will require less water than a tower growing tomatoes. The automated irrigation and nutrient dosing system knows exactly how to supply each tower accordingly. When ready to upgrade to 10 towers, please contact us for a quotation at info@agrotonomy.com.

    • @atomizer2665
      @atomizer2665 Месяц назад

      @@Agrotonomy
      Automated in this case means a float valve in each reservoir that simply controls the water level. This doesnt take account of the actual PH or EC in the individual reservoirs. If the plants in one tower have used more water than nutrient, the EC in that reservoir will increase and you`ll need to add weaker nutrient or even plain water. The dosatron doesnt know what the PH or EC is in the individual reservoirs and even if it did, it wouldnt be able to tailor the nutrient to each individual reservoir on the fly. The dilution ratio of a dosatron is set manually so all of the reservoirs will receive the same nutrient. Your claim that "The automated irrigation and nutrient dosing system knows exactly how to supply each tower accordingly" is clearly false. You should read the section entitled "Deceptive Description" in this document before making claims like this.

      Plants grown aeroponically have 100% availability of oxygen at the root level enhancing their ability to absorb nutrients. As a result, whether talking about nutrient density, antioxidant levels, or flavonoid levels where crops rank as high as the best ever tested with soil farming. Increase in nutrient density, flavonoids, and antioxidant levels also translates in superior taste and vegetables with the appropriate texture and water content.

      Our nutrient solution, which consists solely of earth-based minerals and trace elements, cannot technically be labeled as organic since it does not originate from a living organism like worms. Here` are the facts, the tower garden Mineral Blend nutrient, which was formerly Tower Tonic (identical formulation, different label on the bottle) is formulated for maximum profit. It contains basic sulfates for Mn, Cu, Zn. which are less stable but much cheaper than using chelates. If they could use cheap iron sulfate in the formulation they would. They are forced to use a chelate for the iron (Fe) so, of course ,they use the cheapest which is FE-EDTA. You can be sure the calcium nitrate, potassium nitrate and mono potassium phosphate in the formulation are sourced from agricultural chemical suppliers, not mined directly from the earth as some JP agents have claimed :) Using the word "natural" could lead some folks to think its "organic" The fact is, this is a very overpriced, basic synthetic nutrient that is neither natural or organic.
