I’m surprised you didn’t mention the impact of her existence in the series, like, endeavor’s entire deal was that he was mad he wasn’t on all might’s level which lead to having Toya and Shoto being born, but how tf are they supposed to compete with new order lmao
I feel bad for the character, she was done dirty by her own creator. At the very least, Hori should have let Star destroy the Super Regen quirk inside Shiggy, instead of random no-name quirks that she supposedly destroyed with New Order, that would have been a significant nerf to AFO and leave some impact on the Story. As for the battle itself, God I feel embarrassed not realizing that Star could have either tossed Shiggy into space and let him suffocate likes Kars from JoJo or make a command permanently shutting down the AFO quirk or anything else then what she tried to do.
Shigaraki has been having an identity crisis since he was a child. Stars quirk requires anything she puts a rule on to have a defined identity. That’s the one thing shigaraki doesn’t have.

I’m not gonna lie, this is the point of the where i had to do a double take and had a more critical eye for what i was reading. I got caught up to the manga around when nagant was introduced and kept up ever since. At the start of the stars and stripes arc i thought this was pretty cool, basically a battle between titans of power, but when the arc finished i ended up with “that was it?” And “what was the point?” Because spoilers for the manga, if it wasn’t for the story retroactively giving her an extra purpose of being the one to make the first crack in Shigaraki’s soul shell which… yea sure, this arc would’ve affected NOTHING in the series. “Oh, but shigaraki needed to be delayed for an extra week!” He could’ve been delayed more by waking up prematurely, atleast then hori didn’t need to bother making this firework of an arc, and thats the best way to describe this arc: a firework show with no substance.
The moment Hori introduced her power, the stakes just became non-existent and any semblance of world-building blew up like a wet fart. She is a GOD. SHE WILLS RULES OF REALITY. It's Madara fiasco all over again, except even more pathetic because Madara give viewer/reader some mad entertainment before author cheap-shotted him. S-n-S got introduced and instantly killed.
Regarding sexism, Star thought that could be a factor but her "bros" tell her thats probably not the case. Its not about being a woman, its sbout seeing All Might as a god like everybody else does.
I mean. since the beginning of the series, Hori has been dropping the ball. That's not how you write a story, my guy.
@@davidcrocker846 you have the reading comprehension of a mealworm. i'm talking abou the premise of the first chapter and how Hori couldn't decide what type of story he wanted to tell. with such a big thematic contradiction in the FIRST chapter, the manga was destined to lose focus. and, my favorite superhero isn't even batman, it's superman.
@@davidcrocker846 the contradiction between the set-up and the payoff of the first chapter, which also extends into the theme of said chapter. By the end of the chapter he writes that deku is deemed worthy of "receiving a super-power” (the best one at that too). But this ends up making deku not relatable to virtually everyone in the world. The payoff just turns deku from a determined underdog into the best of all golden boys, All might's protégée, and a character that's in a position of advantage in relation to all other characters of the manga. Star was wasted, just like Re Destro. I honestly think the only characters that have not been wasted are Gentle and La brava. At least those two played a role in the final war and redeemed themselves for theit crimes.
I dont think her dying is bad at all. Yeah shes a cool kind of character but shes not integral to Deku’s life and not one of the main people.
