Been there, I almost 20v swap my Corolla. Then I realized how quickly the price skyrocket. I sold my carburetor car and bought a 20v Corolla instead. Plus you get extras like the 20v clusters, discs all around, ABS power steering and aircon. My advice is, if you on your way in buying a car buy one that's already fuel injections or an already swapped one. And if you're like me who already own the car, consider selling it and just buy a fuel injection car from the ground. Unless you're looking to make content 😅
Mybro, I'm not lying. So far without the price of the car. We spend like ± R41k on parts & paint, tires etc (unfortunately we live flippen far from the city/cape town so most of the stuff my side is expensive) . And we still have some spending to do to get the cli 100%. I believe like 4-5k in total then I'll have a amazing example of a mk3 CLI with a few spicy tasteful mods 😁😍
30K for the mods and all that labor would range from 10-15K, a standard mk1 or fox would cost from 40-60k depending on the condition so you end up sending over 95K to build a strong golfie, its worth it though, can you do a few small pulls (vlog) I think your car is strong enough to run 14's on 1/4 mile 💪🥵 on durban or cpt altitude these 1900cc's make 100-115kw but in jhb altitude and stingy dynos they make 90kw or slighty higher power
Love the videos. I did a complete. 1.4i Rox motor with gearbox and all in my caddy For 2k. But the time and effort was mad. I mean with all the wheeling and dealing. And labor done by myself.
Great and quality content. I am new to the channel and community, l have watched a few videos and very motivating to see some SA based builds. I also have developed a passion for the mk1 build, i own 1 as a daily but looking to get a cheap project unit.
12:00 I also have a new issue now. I can go through the gears when the car is off as soon as it's on. Nothing bra, it's almost like the clutch is not engaging properly. Hopefully something small, but yha will check that out when I get time
@@LMManuel not yet, I messaged u on IG, anyway. Apparently the spigot thing is maybe meshed up. If that's the case, I have to remove the gearbox but I didn't get time to check yet
Thanks alot for taking us through your journey it was really motivating...but wanted to knw why you used 1.4 computer box when the engine was 1.9 conversion where you not supposed to be using 1.8 or 2.0l one??

So true. And if you not happy with the other bra's car you bought, change some things to make it your own 🔥
100% if you aren't planning on making content. You rather save and spend a little more on a car that is already fuel injected but save in the long run
Hi your videos on this build were very informative to me.The background music is a relaxing mood, hats off to your dad. I learnt allot thank you.
Project builds are not cheap at all so shoutout to everyone in the game who have built their cars from scratch
🙏🏼🔥😁
Jenny is coming back strong and nobody is ready. The project I'm waiting to see

Any small mods start adding up. When you start adding up all the costs it becomes painful
@@LMManuel True 😅🤦🏻

Thanks for the video bro I'm also stroking a HV motor with 2E head it is very expensive to do

Damn! Thanks bro.

Hey man, the computer box is decoded and re-tuned to suit the 1.9
@@LMManuel ohk all the best with your build man...
Rebuilding ain't cheap at all, plus most golf parts are scarce and prices are through the roof
Tell me about. I really thought it was going to be cheaper😂
How much did they take of the piston to clear the head?
Build would've been way cheaper if you contacted me for the parts. Ethan from on da low 😉
That's a lot, oke!
Tell me about it😂😂💔
Since you not happy with the engine power output, can i offer you 40thousand for it
