I think they have a very similar look in some of the corridors and public areas with the gray/beige type of neutral colors used. The Apex and Edge ships lack the evocative retro look in most areas of Celebrity ships and go for a softer, neutral look. But the evocative look is in the Normandie and Cosmopolitan restaurants. Still peachy and lighter colors are used opposed to Celebrity's usual darker and more punchy and bright colors. I think the problem with the Prima class is the undersized public areas. NCL is considered mainstream where Celebrity is more premium but the Prima has some pretty fancy spaces in it as well.
I know the feeling...you sign up for the premium suite cabins and the embarkation staff routes you to the general seating area. This happened to up last year on NCL at the Copenhagen port. They directed us to some other line that was not the priority line and there was general confusion about which line we were supposed to be processed at. We were given the runaround and I became upset. We had priority boarding and as other general passengers were boarding and we were not called, my wife started to do her honey do sh*t routine with me. So, I had to flag down an employee to voice my complaint. It was not a good way to start off the cruise. I'm not a complainer, but since we paid for the premium service, I was just asking to be treated as guests that paid for that experience. Nonetheless, overall the Baltic cruise was excellent, but unfortunately, the hiccups on embarkation day was what I remember most vividly about that trip and that is a shame...

The Celebrity Apex makes the NCL Prima look like Costa cruises or subsidized government housing. It is indeed an aesthetically beautiful ship!
We love the Apex design. Ready to try the Ascent but have not been on the Prima class yet for NcL. Probably sometime in 2024.

The retreat entrance was to the left of the escalator on the ground floor to the left of the elevators.
