I listen to Argerich, Schiff and others, but nobody dissects this piece as well as Glenn. Nobody paints the different voices this clear (2:56), they don't even come close.
That's terrific, awful!! nobody won't never play this way at thiscentury ! It's a kind of old remembrance between harpsichord and the beginning of "piano-forte"!!
He knew Bach so well it's insane...I often wonder what would Bach say if he could have heard it.
Rusvi1 Me too :) I'm pretty sure he would be very proud..

I can't believe it's 30 years--seems like yesterday. Still love listening to GG's perfect playing.
Wow! No words can describe this perfect performance! The fuge part was so good!
this piece is from another world
Such rhythmic vitality!!!
2:29 an absolute genius is playing!!!!!!!!!!!
No words!!!!
Fabulous !
lucid
measured
restrained
quite perfect
Miraculous!
Gould's time is so sick.
グールドの演奏は素晴らしい限りです。
シングルシンガースの歌声も聞こえてきます。
40年前、Waseda Guitar Club も挑戦しましたネ!
ちょっと無謀でした。でも懐かしい想いです。
Great pic
...contrappunto insuperable
it`s my favourite partita! especialy at 0:53 :)
I mostly agree- he is perfect & his legacy will always live on, but I actually prefer Maxim Bernard's interpretation of this Partita! Check it out.
In a better world Gould would be 80 now, darnit
what album is this from?
Glenn Gould plays Bach
Refycul Yeah, I know it's Glenn Gould but from which of his albums is it?
@@JamesIdentity The album is called "Glenn Gould plays Bach"
@@Wredny_Gnojek Ah, right. My apologies. Thank you.

Mozart could be, too.
es una grabacion, manipulada tambien a velocidad. Nadie hace un trino tan rapido
Both Schiff's and Argerich's interpretations are actually complete utter rubbish (IMO). Indeed, Gould played this partita wonderfully.
