  • So far in 2024 No Man's Sky has had the Omega and the Orbital updates added which were awesome additions and brought us things like the brand new space station, ship customisation and the ability to own pirate freighters. But, I've been thinking up some other awesome No Mans Sky updates that are fairly realistic for Hello Games to add, so I've created this video going over those.
    If you have any other ideas or other No Mans Sky updates you'd love to see added by Hello Games, why not leave a comment letting us know what they are?
    Thank you for watching!

    An interesting idea, collaborative bases. If you could have multiple people working on a base, even when one person is offline, that would be really cool. I also think that having the option to let npc’s who land at space stations or freighters join your base. It would make the dynamic of base building feel alive.

    I would love more dungeon style missions, maybe some of the caverns are transformed into aggressive creature dens with valuable loot. For PVP it would be cool if there would be regular PVP events at the Nexus like space fights, ground fights and racing

    I personally find exploring to be enjoyable, but I believe that the journey is just as Important as the destination.Soooo I think it would be pretty cool to introduce more limitations for accessing certain star systems (other that just a ship upgrade). To do that I'd sujest the introduction of interstellar space , It could make traveling to different stars more challenging and requiring pilot experience to reach end-game star systems.

  • @Guirko

    My absolute biggest criticism of NMS is the lack of impact the player's actions have. Yes you can build bases, raid ships, or do missions for different factions, but none of these things really change the world around you in a meaningful way.
    System wealth and conflict level, the strength and status of certain factions, the geology and ecology of planets, none of it can be affected. There are things that make it seem like your actions make a difference, but they ultimately only affect you.
    I know the game is mostly centered around exploration and just having a lot of different things to do, but right now i am only experiencing the universe without it really experiencing me... and that makes everything feel kind of pointless and empty.

    • @Imaperson-ow1wr
      @Imaperson-ow1wr 2 месяца назад

      That sounds amazing, I’ve always felt like the freighters were lacking in what you could do with them. To me it’s like a toolkit I set up to have exocraft and portals without making a base in that system.

    • @jador9641
      @jador9641 Месяц назад

      @@Imaperson-ow1wr I mean, the actual original purpose behind the idea of freighters has always been to provide players with a mean to build for themselves mobile bases, and Hello Games has successfully implemented the idea with the latest freighters expansion update.
      It is true that it would be cool if we could actually pilot them, but saying that you can-t do nothing while being on board is a blatant lie.
      It took me 3 entire days to custom build and decorate the interiors of my ship to be almost a perfect 1:1 replica of the Normandy from Mass Effect, and features everything i will ever need; From being a passive resource farming station all the way until generating milliards of units per hour without even lifting a finger.
      And if i gotta be honest, i'm spending way more time on board of my freighter than actually exploring new planets and star systems lately, mostly because after visiting the first 3-4 star systems and their planets, you don't have anymore any reasons to keep exploring as you have already seen everything the game has to offer.
      Which isn't exactly something positive when the point of a game is being all centered around space travels and explorations.

    Yes, if all of these features get added this year, that would be the last update that players would go back to many years from now. Light No Fire appears to have more promise on PvE (enemy or environment) gameplay, so maybe they will add enhanced PvE after LNF shows it off.

  • @Orbital_Tea

    There could be an option to bring your frigate crew members on planets with you. Kinda like how your wingmen work except they actually land and explore with you. Or you could send individual members to different planets and they could gather resources on planets without you actually having to go there. I don’t know just a thought.

  • @ang2140

    I definitely like these ideas, but me personally would love to see more features into settlements and pve faction warfare out in space and having the option to join a side leading to more missions and also have them attack your bases or settlements which could lead to more base defenses meaning more building pieces added to base building. I just need more action in the game to keep me hooked, there's only so much exploring and building I can do to where I start to get bored. Even an expansion into the monstrosity aliens like some more story to it and have them attack settlements or bases. Something to bring more life to this great game that lacks in more action engagements please hello games give some action 🙏🥺

    The things I want are: improved gameplay loop, variations in the way you get resources (like having to collect fruit and refines to get oxygen, or use fossils on dead planets to get carbon), more pirate dreadnuts style space battles, and more interaction mechanics between players (something that would support projects like Galactic Hub)

    Your freighter getting attacked would be a cool encounter. If you stay in a system to long while in your freighter Youd hear " Warning: Large ship approaching" then seconds later a dreadnought appears" Warning: pirate dreadnought" then seconds later "warning: inbound fighters/ or missiles"
    also, the addition of NPC pirates on land attacking you. I would love to fight vykeen or gek pirates.

    I agree with all. The ship building was anti-climactic at best. I'd love to see ships built by players that you can't see from NPCs. I'd also love to see a ship with a fresh coat of paint that degrades over time. You build a ship, and it has fair wear and tare on it already. I'd love to see NCP cities; these little settlements are beyond boring. Food and receipts are something I barely touch, unless bored. Maybe make it so you have to eat every so often.

    • @BunkzGaming

    • @larrylindgren9484
      @larrylindgren9484 2 месяца назад

      Yeah, right now there are too many things they added but they are just there and do nothing. I'm willing to bet 80% of more have never made one cooking item. Why? Because it's worthless. For the pain of doing it, the reward so to speak isn't worth it. Spend all that time trying to find a plant to make something that does nothing. It's in the game just to be in the game but doesn't do anything in the game. A waste. Settlements are the same. An idea which isn't bad but no reason to do it. Just like cooking. It's a big why. The whole game is like that really. ideas that could be great but ended up being a BIG why. Finish the idea:) Added more ideas wouldn't help if they ended up like cooking and settlements. They're just there yet serve to purpose to the game at all in anyway. If cooking made me walk faster or run faster. Not just for 2 seconds but for an hour. Make it worth doing. An idea but who knows. Right now, spending hours getting the stuff. Then taking hours waiting for it the cook is just not worth 1 second of game time.

    All your Ideas were good, except PVP...I think if there was PVP it should be like who can shoot down more pirates if both players started at the same time, or kill Sentinel ships... PVP combat could lead to toxic gameplay... this game has so many guns to one shot you not even being maxed like how can one do PVP? it becomes who gets first shot, and yeah I cant see this going good... maybe collaborative more PVE with a Vs twist... and I agree more challenges in the game I got a ship that does nearly 200K DPS and nothing to kill really except the odd pirate freighter... and its not a challenge past the first time you fight it... we need more Creatures and bosses to fight! Make the Skull Leviathan attack our Freighters!!!!

    PvP ruins games and communities. I'm sorry, it does. Especially in a game built like No Man's Sky, eventually you're just gonna have folk with the best build for every eventuality destroying folk who've just started to get their daily "I'm better than you" in. PvP is a community killer because it creates elitism and competition needlessly. Especially in No Man's Sky which has a heavy focus on being a Traveler and explorer with other Travelers, this might end up killing the game, not improving it.

    For 99% of the player base a PvP update would be a total waste of time. Yes, some would like it. But a game not built around it just don't. PvP basically fails in any game it's in anyway. It just turns into corpse camping. Or geared out the butt players hunting down players that aren't. Which is PvP in almost every PvP in every game ever made. Players don't want PvP balance they want to own someone. How do you do that? Attack players who are so far under you gear wise you can't lose. Welcome to PvP in every game ever made. In a game at its core not built for it now trying to add it would be a total wise the Dev time. For every player who wants it there's be 9 who wouldn't never do it. Make it a wasted update. Underwater? It's not fun now. I don't see a way they could make remotely fun in an update.
