My husband is a true carnivore. I married him 36 years ago and love him dearly. I cannot change him. He makes his meals and I make mine. It has to work and does. I cannot stand the smell of the meat either but, it is his life. I will continue on in my plant way of eating.❤

I'm in that same boat. My husband will not go plant based, said he does not want to eat like a rabbit. I love him, but it's his life.

Congratulations Paul on so many successes in your life, all because of your dedication and willingness to learn and change. Not everyone can make the change to a healthy WFPD. I admire and appreciate all your hard work in creating the Plant-Based Nutrition Support Group. It is a huge gift to the world.

Rip, thank you for sharing these stories and bringing so much hope to the masses. You truly are doing beautiful work. I find it interesting that his wife will not join him on this journey after witnessing that it saved his life.

Great episode! I'm the only one in my house who doesn't eat meat and dairy, so Paul's experiences in dealing with the same situation in his home was very timely and helpful. I struggle with consistency, so all of Rip's podcasts/videos really help with motivation and information.

Interested to know whether Paul had any repeat coronary angiograms and the findings? Any regression of the blockages?

It seems like everyone goes to every other city, except for Kansas City, Missouri, this is a great place to visit or live, I actually live in the best part of Kansas City Missouri. It’s actually liberty Missouri that I live in there right across the street from each other it’s a small town in Missouri that you never have any things like this ever come here but I owned my own health food store for years and I even studied Linus Pauling had a dell Davis, Jordan Rubin the day with my health food store was the tree of life❤

I like Paul's attitude about his wife's food--I'm whole food plant based but my husband isn't. He will eat whatever I put in front of him, but once every blue moon he'll buy a bunch of potato chips and cheese and just keep it out of my way 😆

It was good to hear more of Paul’s story. In Forks Over Knives we get a small glimpse. It’s amazing to see the hand of God connect him with the right people at the right time.
I also appreciated hearing that his wife is not eating the same way. That is a common situation with many of us and can make it hard. Sounds like they worked out a good compromise.
As always thanks, Rip, for interesting interviews with great people. 👏👍💪

This is pretty cool I just got a notice of your message and I eat a lot of broccoli but that’s not the cool part about it. I was looking for birthday songs for my son Austin, he moved to Arizona two years ago and then this message pops up right after I sent him birthday songs, I thought all my children had to eat healthy but you can always learn new things. I wanna learn how to make broccoli sprouts. I’m sure it’s not hard but I eat a lot of broccoli so now I’m gonna watch a video.❤

Great conversation. I thought Paul's arteries would have reversed somewhat with the WFPB lifestyle. So wondering even with the blockage existing how does WFPB help overcome the symptoms?

Iam 66 yrs old my cholesterol started climbing up yrs ago and it still holds at 261 that is the total. and of course all the doctors told me can put you on a statin, I refused to take it. I'am also eating veggies and some fruits i eat blueberrys and apples. not much more than that. i never smoke or drink and i just had blood drawn at the lab amy cholesterol was 261 that was in june. of 2023 i have no idea why because my diet is so clean. i do know that some people can make to much cholesterol and iam menopauseal. so that could be the reason why my lips are high. but iam not worried.

I have heard that heart disease caused by blocked arteries can be healed through diet. What about heart failure where there are no blockages. The valve malfunctions causing the heart to be enlarged causing heart inefficiency. At least that is what I understood happened. Is there hope other than drugs?

As much as I strive to be plant base, iam nothing without Jesus, God created this earth and everything in it! My thanks goes to Him. My body was wonderfully created and I need to take care of it. Eating plant base is key. But Jesus gets all the glory!

Listened carefully the whole story of Paul, but was disappointed, no where there was a specific changes that Paul was practicing. Further disappointed that in the end the blockages carried on. I wonder if going WFPB should have been done in conjunction with intermittent fasting meaning just 1 meal a day. Would like to hear others experiences and what the experts have to say in this regard.

Thank ypu both for touching on so many level ! My father couldn't change his diet even after his triple bypass, he lived for 4 more years leg corroded arteries So painful my grandfather's died very young , not sure if it's being a mechanic that helps me understands the importance of maintenance and pure fue !! l but i realized I'm not interested in beeaking down before i can push this body to the endurance limit !! Since covid and before I'm interested in God's Nateral remedies to boost my immune System and its paid off !! When Paul explained his dilemma with LP (a) i have to admit i was taken back because of the limited knowledge i have in lipid health ! I didnt see how a plaque build up could happen to him with his plant based intake !!! UNFORTUNATELY True Health Knowledge is Kept Secret Just like a Treasure and people die because of it ! The one thing i believe above all else is God Has provided for us and its up to us to find the answers , i know there is a answer to the LP(a) issue !! I'm wondering if Intermittent or long term Fasting, and adding ancient foods like NATTO ! could help, well I'm going to take the LP(a) blood test and continue with my plant based old school feed plan, Hi To All The Essylston's , Great Stories From upstate ny, as my ancestors are from !!
