I love how Lady Danbury slips into what I assume to be her original accent when she's angry with her brother. Such a true detail!

I like that we're finally seeing Colin's insecurity too, many times he asked if she feels the same as he does, he also mentions that he wants to make her proud and have a purpose to make him feel worthy of her and he thinks he has to do everything, protect too much etc. In the books, it's very evident that Colin has this need to prove himself because he doesn't think his qualities are enough to make someone love him. The Third son curse/Middle child syndrome. Lol Now, it hit the fan and he has to handle with the fact Penelope is not only the girl he loves, but has a whole side of her that is auto suficient...

Penelope was 17 when she started writing as Lady Whistledown and she married Colin at age 28.

I loved how you explained how Penelope feels about whistledown and her passion for it. Some people couldn’t see the parallel yet difference between her and Mondrifch

Thank you again for another brilliant reaction! I loved it.
I think it’s interesting how the plot has made most of us feel a little sorry for Cressida, she may be a villain but she was certainly made that way by her family.
And that ending… time for the drama!
Thanks again! See you in the next one.

Happy for you. 40K is not easy to achieve. I knew Colin would find out like that. As a writer myself, i always hope Pen will be able to keep on writing. Francesca was feeling like her mother is not as happy for her as she is for Colin but Violet is only worried.

I really do NOT like what they did to Benedict this season (not the threesome) he's just there... floating with no goal. I do get that he was acting Viscount at the start of the season but idk considering the rumors for next season I don't even know why they wrote him like this.

I wonder if they are going to make his "Feeling adrift" part of his issue for his own season.

if our suspicions about him being the focus on season 4 are correct, then it could be to see him float to contrast with him actually going for someone he wants more permanently in his life.
We saw him in season 1 wondering about what was expected of him and what he wanted, we saw him go for something something he wanted (art school) in season 2 before he put it away when he found out Anthony had donated money to the school, here in this season we see him find out a bit more about himself and have some dalliances (call-back to the artists party he attended), and then maybe it could lead to him finding a love match in season 4. Going from seeing him float to seeing him strive - just like how we see Penelope go from finding some satisfaction from standing in the shadows to stepping into the spotlight with determination in this season.

A person who floats through life without a purpose or direction can feel useless and ungrounded. From my own experience, I can say it is miserable to exist in that aimless state. Relationships and work seemed pointless, even while I was in relationships (one of them a brief marriage) and working in the top positions of my prior career. I tried on multiple hobbies and said, "Why not," to anyone and anything that could potentially give my life meaning. Nothing helped to add that elusive spark to my existence. Eventually, though, my purpose finally arrived and after that my life became laser focused. Now, nothing, and I mean nothing, stands in my way-- neither my fears nor insecurities nor anyone. I foresee something similar happening for Benedict as the character is portrayed in the TV series. Someone is going to galvanize that man and set him on fire; then, and only then, will we see the real Benedict.
