It’s 5 am, I have a total of 10 minutes playtime in skyrim vr. I have spent the last 4 1/2 hours constantly downloading, breaking, and fixing mods. This video has shown me at least 4 more mods I need to download, but I don’t have the mental fortitude to go on. Great video though

After spending the last 3 days scouring RUclips, Nexus, and Google and installing 274 mods for my first VR playthrough, I thought I had them all. Turns out I missed some really awesome ones, and I never would have known without watching this -THANK YOU SIR!
@@damuvang1915 4 months later and I'm up to at least 500 different mods now (hard to to tell since I started merging), but I'm still having a pretty smooth experience. Having an RTX 3080 definitely helps, but the Engine Fixes VR mod (essential IMO) and running Skyrim through OpenComposite made the biggest difference overall. Oh, and LOTS of play-testing my game after installing every new mod. The 155 hours I've logged in Steam have been dedicated to testing my game's stability. Hopefully one day I'll actually be able to play :,)
@@campocalypse To each his own, but I reckon Skyrim is pretty enough, the way the devs. intended it to be, and with some essential 20-30 mods it becomes the best game ever! Too many mods ruin the experience of the original game and turn Skyrim into a gaudy piece of S..T.

Yes, all mods I have listed in the past are compatible. Some may have slight incompatibilites but nothing to major and they aren't ones you would really "need" I break my game too, don't worry about it lol
This video was super helpful. Been years since I last played Skyrim but I ordered a VR headset and this was high on my list of games to try. Jumping into modding again blind is always super rough though. Having this as a sort of compass to get started will be extremely helpful :)

You've convinced me to play Skyrim again for the first time in 10 years, and have been essential in the modding process. Keep up the good stuff and I appreciate it for real, seeing as there arent many other channels as helpful when it comes to skyrim vr!!! Edit edit: Would be worthwhile to EVENTUALLY release a long video detailing a complete skyrim vr beginners guide with essential mods etc!!!

I also recommend SkySA and related animation packs for it like the Elder Souls one. It changes up how enemies attack you and make attacks a bit slower so you can block them better/more interestingly.
@@theaveragemegaguy That I like? There are a few, like Smooth's Animations (different mods same creator) or JH Animation Pack. As long as the player animations aren't affected drastically it should work just fine. Just be wary of the animation mods sometimes

Did you download the mods in that order, also I like the PLANCK mod, do you know if it will still work with all these? New to modding through vortex, I think I got it, but I notice load order, so I assume installing them correct order is a requirement. Completely random, but have you tried cyberpunk vr via vorpx mod? Pretty epic, I mean, my poor computer. But I am excited for where vr is heading. And obviously can’t forget all the amazing moders.
I just realized: we could never get functional spears in normal skyrim because of the lacking animations. But in vr, so long as only the player can get a spear, you can do the jabbing animations yourself.
This is a really great load order, a bunch of mods I never even thought about and some I did not even know about, I will be looking at just about every one of these, you also can get live another life alternate start mod to work in VR if you extract the BSA using software BAE, I've been using it for quite a while and not had a single problem with it, another mod I feel is essential in VR is Rustic Clothing, also how do you pick up an item with higs and then put it into your inventory without dropping it behind your back? It seems like you were doing that in the video, or I might just be losing my mind lol
vrik and higgs ARE must have how do i know? when i first got skyrim vr i thought do things a bit normal as far as i could (do the regular no mod game till i cant take anymore) and that didnt last long so the 2 mods ive been hearing was the first to try...dont think im leaving my modded skyrim for a wile(if ever lol)

Without knowing your CPU, so far so good on being able to run the game. Skyrim VR vanilla is NOT worth the price BUT with PCVR and Modding the game, it is 100% worth it lol

the compass on here ( the red part of the needle) points in the wrong direction when facing east and west? it seems to have it right when im facing north and south but when i turn right or head east on the actual map, my compass says im going west
first time delving into modding games and vr so this list is much appreciated, at the moment ive only got one issue that i cant fix, maximum carnage has a pop up on game start notifying me to be aware of mod requirements if i downloaded it in a bundle (which i didnt) but it pops up at the same time as "press any button to continue" and i cant interact with either of them.
@@SoulBC ok, i think i found a solution, i downloaded the 7.0 version and I got in just fine, now im just making sure the mod is actually working which im not sure about, like giblets are coming off of things on death but so far the bodies themselves arent being damaged

Weapon Throw. Do you also like the Thomas the Tank Engine mod? Do you think that adds a lot to the game? Why not building throw, or, wait, I know, Dragon Throw. There's True Spear Combat that works with SkyrimVR. You can get working spears. That's how far Modding has gotten for Skyrim :)
I just want to add a mod, Its called Planck, is a extension to HIGGS, it makes the game feel more like Blade and Sorcery

I personally only enjoy the backpack and lock picking part of the mod. The rest of it I use different mods for. However, still a good selection!

For HIGGS, it’s just a feature of being able to put it over your shoulder and let go. It does have a small sweet spot tho

What did you use to see yourself when showing all geared up? It looked way better than the rancemenu mirror.

I can't remember where I seen it, but I believe it's still the "true north." I cannot for the life of me remember where I heard or seen this.

first time delving into modding games and vr so this list is much appreciated, at the moment ive only got one issue that i cant fix, maximum carnage has a pop up on game start notifying me to be aware of mod requirements if i downloaded it in a bundle (which i didnt) but it pops up at the same time as "press any button to continue" and i cant interact with either of them.
Moonlight tales does this. Best way to do it from experience is to spam selections or find a patch
@@SoulBC ok, i think i found a solution, i downloaded the 7.0 version and I got in just fine, now im just making sure the mod is actually working which im not sure about, like giblets are coming off of things on death but so far the bodies themselves arent being damaged

@@SoulBC im trying that, is there a damage threshold i need to exceed? i think its a load order thing maybe, coz like its working kinda but im just not getting any textures or body changes
So vrik isn’t working right I can see my character but there is no holsters and the spell isn’t in the spell category and it isn’t on the the mcm either
I have Skyrim VR and am having trouble with getting mods to work. In the loading screen, it doesn't even list a mods category.
I would love to put three mods on: Cheat Room, Make Friends with Gems, and Ingun Black-briar follower.
If you’re referring to the MCM, mods with extended scripts show up there.

Hey lad i got a problem here with maximum carnage it says its only for non-Vr somehow and when i tried to download it i was missing SKS.exe lol so if you know how to fix that tell me pls :) second question do you know a mod that makes you collect with a spell like plants? Bugs in ur serounding? I know there is a mod but can't find it :(
Does any wabbajack list include all of these (or the majority)? Like Fus, UVRE..
I think UVRE covers a portion of these. I’m unsure. I have never ever used Wabbajack so I can’t give you a precise answer, sorry :(
Question. For dual wheel block were you able to figure out how to block while unarmed or while being a spellsword?

It just depends on the type of mod. Generally, a new save is recommended
Weapon Throw. Do you also like the Thomas the Tank Engine mod? Do you think that adds a lot to the game? Why not building throw, or, wait, I know, Dragon Throw. You have a BIG old bag of dragons, and you whip them out and throw them. I guess I'm trying to say that Weapon Throw is really stupid. Does that come across?
You can turn off the auto return. But to each their own, no need to get upset because of personal preference lmfao

Can you make guide for "drop on death" instalation please? I can see settings in mcm mod menu, but mod itself not working for me for some reason((( i guess i am missing something...
It should work as intended unless you’re updating it from a previous version. Or you may have missing requirements

For some reason drop on death never worked for me, it was one of the few mods I added along with higgs etc but never seem to work
It can be a bit finicky but once you get it, it’s worth the experience

I have no knowledge of how to make collections. However if you want to go for it. Although, another one is in the works for 2023.
If I already started a play through and want to add a vew of these mods like the armor variant mod. will that break my save file?
Armor mods shouldn’t break it, but it can if you remove it later.
I tried everything and still looks blurry and i get sick. This is the only game on vr that makes me sick. Still liked the video love the content!

When I go to Strange Runes VR page it says "Not compatible with VRIK" is that true?

when I downloaded ordinator, whenever I tried go to the perks, my game wouldn't stop crashing. Does anyone have the same issue or know how to fix it?
You need the VR Perk Extender to make it work

I don’t use infinite carry weight related but I do use a weight reducer. Try for Weighted

It uses windows speech recognition. Train it. Otherwise, I’d have to look further into it
If I'm not using any mods that requires SKSEVR how would I start the game with mods? Can I use the original Desktop shortcut or do I still need to create my own?
Youd still have to run the default EXE through the mod manager of your choice
