- If you like cute dogs, this might be your new favorite video. (And if you don’t like cute dogs, congrats, you’re a sociopath.) It was “Bark at the Park” day, so there were lots of dogs competing with me for home run balls in left field. The weather was terrible. The food was great. Oh wait, I didn’t eat anything. What am I even talking about? I don’t know.

Boy I tell ya, they really got this one right the first time. We're approaching 30 years since Camden Yards first opened, yet it remains just as breathtaking and innovative as it did on Day 1 in 1992. That ballpark simply does not age. It's astounding!
Even the stadiums that were inspired by the architectural renaissance Baltimore created in 1992 have begun to feel dated (Texas Rangers 1994 stadium; Atlanta's 1997 Turner Field; Cincinnati Reds 1999 stadium; even it's historical siblings in Denver's 1995 Rockies stadium & Cleveland Indians 1994 ballpark) by this point, and have unfortunately demonstrated their inability to hold up to the rigors of time the way Oriole Park always will. Those stadiums sprinkled in certain design elements in the architecture that have since came and gone by now. Yet Camden Yards remains as timeless and inspiring today as it did in the 90s because it correctly balanced out the appropriate amounts of past, present, and future to have combined into a single structure when they first conceived it on the drawing board decades ago.
This is the modern game's Wrigley Field and Fenway Park, which should never be replaced one day under any circumstances whatsoever.
One of these days a dog is going to jump onto the field to get the ball and run off with it and disrupt a really really critical play.

5:33 I know this is baseball we're talking about, but in hockey the Dallas Stars fans (including myself) would listen to one of two parts in there that the singer sings twice and we'll shout out the word "STARS!!" when the singer sings "whose broad stripes and bright STARS" and "Oh say does that STARS spangled banner" It's pretty crazy.

9.10 Dog Assist
A dog can assist a ballhawker, as set forth in this Rule 9.10.
(a) The official scorer shall credit an assist to each dog that:
(1) bites or deflects a batted or thrown ball in such a way that the ball stops moving, or would have stopped moving, except for a subsequent error by any ballhawker.
Rule 9.10(a)(1) Comment: Mere ineffective contact with the ball shall not be considered an assist. “Deflect” shall mean to slow down or change the direction of the ball and thereby effectively assist the ballhawker in collecting another ball.
(2) chases or deflects the ball during a play that results in the dog’s owner collecting the ball.

Its a pity that there were so many empty seats. Camden Yards is such a beautiful stadium, and the Orioles (and Baltimore in general) has such history. They are definitely one of my favorite teams outside of where I live (NYC). Go Orioles!
