It is “THE ALBUM” that hooked me for good as a believer when I heard it over at a friends house while in college during the summer semester of 1993! That was almost 28 years ago & this song still hits me the same now as it did back then every time I listen to them play it. Chills....................

wonderful stuff...I will always miss Houser...for his prose, soulful solos, and segueing in between tunes. Change is the only thing that is constant it seems and I would support panic no matter who their lead was. Their lyrical depth and spiritually charged music has been an inspiration for me. I am so happy Jimmy is in the band. Besides being a guitar virtuoso...he is a class act!

Quel chef-d'œuvre ! 15 avis négatifs... On peut être adepte de Mikey Houser et ne pas détester Jimmy à ce point. Et en plus Jimmy est un guitariste exceptionnel... Comme Mikey, dans un genre différent, mais les deux compatibles avec Widespread Panic.
@DrivinDiscoDrivin i couldnt agree more. people want what they think the music should sound like and nothing else. Just look at Furthur, im very grateful for the opportunity to see the boys one more time, but i realize that you cant please everybody.

yeah it looked like Dave wasnt too pleased. Mikey will always be loved but Jimmy is amazing. Panic has so much more of an edge with him. Its a different beast nowadays and I love it!

I was actually one of the lucky few to be invited that day to the studio. They sounded great considering they are in a cramped plastic walled box with lots of family and friends looking on. You don't see it, but the plastic wall is like 2 feet in front of Jimmy.

This is great....I love Jimmy's tasty solos, but I miss Mikey riding that razor's edge of totally losing control; not know where he's going next (and not caring) then bringing the solo back to that "AHHHHH" moment....

I hate to agree with any Vol, but gotta . Too hyper, funny how you miss Mikey missin' a note here and there, and everywhere. It was almost like you had to have the dissonance of delay. Got it together there at the end. .. nailin' the solo, to be expected from our new powerhouse. he will hammer it this summer. Glad this one is now back in the mix. Guess it was harder to learn than we thought.

Personally, this video is exhibit A on how a great guitarist like Jimmy can adapt mikeys signature licks with his own style and sound, and still fit the music.
You've not talked to the right people then. Since I started going to see Panic a little more than a decade ago, I've met so many cool people and made so many friends all over the country. I can honestly say that my decision to hop in the car and follow them around was one of the better ones I've made in my life. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music but nothing compares to the joy that I feel when I listen to them! I finally found the place in time to call my own...
No body can replace Mikey but u move on and do the best u can cause that is what. Mikey. Wanted

i think he sounds fine as well...i'm not personally a huge fan of anybody but mikey, but he does miss a note there. pretty sure that's why dave gives him that look. other than that, it's a great performance. solid quality.

I think it's time to move on (it's been 8 years for christs sake). Jimmy rejuvenated the band when it looked like George had broke them. Panic is rockin right now period, and its really sad that ya'll can't enjoy it for what it is...everything they do now is always compared to the houser days, why? If you don;t like Jimmy, don't listen to it and keep your negative comments to yourself!
Widespread panic is a great band, i love the album panic in the streets, but i've never met anyone who has anything posative to say about this band. I know people who have seen them live a bunch of times and still say that they don't like them some how....Why?
