You beat that pretty hard TBH I was expecting it to come back in pieces...Impressed!! Nice driving as always...lot to be said for flexible plastic lol.
When I baught the v1 quantum xt a few years ago I was immediately disappointed by not only the terrible suspension setup, but I also bent an axle on the first run after lightly clipping a curb. I sold it shortly after fixing it. This thing however looks like they've done their homework and turned it into a genuinely great basher. I'm tempted once again to get one. Well done hpi/maverick!
I know right! Plus the price seems like a no brainer. Wonder how it will stack up against the helion/rival mt10 and the redcat trmt10 which both are great options as well. I'm gonna grab one and try it out. Just wish it had a center diff. Hope its an upgrade option maybe 🤞🏼
@@cwatson42785 Hey Chris, I don't mind the slipper on this. It's smaller and lighter. My struggle is brushed or brushless. I like that blue one but only comes in brushed. I have tons of ESC's and motors in the parts bin. Plus I can get the center brace online and I was planning on swapping out the wheel hexes to 12mm so the plastic ones on the brushed is no loss. Waiting everyday for this to drop on HRP😊
I bought 2 of quantum flux truggies (first gen) and they didn’t last long with a quarter of the impact you put this one through! The axels would buckle ALL the time, rear diff housing would crack… I can’t remember how many replacement parts I had to buy during a 3 month period.. it made my rc buddy lose interest because of the amount of repairs.. do you think that these new ones are a better option than the XT Plus version?
That thing looks leaps and bounds better than the older version. I've got a Quantum Flux 80A Truggy, and it's great fun to drive when working, but the drivetrain gets broken so easily, particularly with how much intertia the wheels end up having if you land even remotely on power. All of the axles on mine are slightly bent from heavier landings, so the wheels wobble like crazy - that doesn't look to be happening at all for you. The fact it appears to be a little nose heavy is annoying, but perhaps that's suspension setup? Are the rear springs strong enough that it's flicking the back up relative to the front on leaving a jump? Might have to consider one of these when they become available over here in the UK.
Hello , i have a question for you may you be the only person can help me , can you give me the measurements for the reciever box and batery trai from the Maverick quantum 2 flux mt? i will really apreciated , im looking for a project. Thanks a lot !
Really this thing seems almost perfect for me. How do you feel about the slipper clutch? Is it much of a step down from the MT10's center differential? Thats the only real negative I can think of. Is it a big negative? Or no big deal?
It needs a bigger pinion. Im interested to sell my kraton 4s to maybe replace it by this. I have 6s trucks and having just a lower price flat pan chassis with electronics tunring into an oven on 4s and add the extra cost of 4s bateries for only one car. Only problem is hpi part support in canada
Ok. Im a faithful Avenge/Rival fan/owner. But this thing really just made me doubt. The front skid plate portion of chassis may have busted on those huge flat landings with the MT10…this thing is unbelievable.

Very impressed with what i'm seeing from the Quantum 2. Durabiltity seems top notch. The added flexibity of the new plastics (absorbing impact) in the front arms and steering links could be part of the secret source to its tough bashing prowess at the expenese of steering control? I would be interested in seeing if the old Quantum arms and these arms are interchangable to see if steering improves/durabilty falls off? I think my next 1/10 MT is going to be between the Quantum 2 or the new Rlaarlo Omni-Terminator. Are you getting the Omni-Terminator in for review Vas?
