This video, this is what started my woodworking career and eventual decline in fishkeeping. Now I build some much better stuff but I'll never forget that this video is the reason why I got into it
Thanks! Just built this with my 9 yo. It was $60, but $20 was paint alone. Good lesson in carpentry. I went with 12 ft boards, so I count get four 36” boards out of 3 cuts.
I know this is a older video, but I took your stand dimensions, went to home depot, bought what i needed, built it. Only different thing was I added a 3/4 thick 36x18 plywood on top. Thanks man!
Dude you're freaking talented!!!!!! That stand looks sick!!! You deff should look into building and selling stands as a side career...unless it already is ahaha...keep it up bro!!!
Thank you for making this video. I ended up building one a few days ago, using four 36”,six 15”, four 24” and four 17” pieces.I haven’t mated the 17” pieces in yet but they matched up well. I’ve never really worked much with wood so this was a nice starting project. Spent 16 dollars and used old/extra screws. When I upgrade tanks in a year or 2 I’ll be making a new one.
Your awesome bro. I just happened to have a few pieces of 2x4's laying around and 3"screws. So I went with your dimensions for your cuts and it worked out great. Thank you so much for posting and explaining what was needed for the build.
Bro I was at work in the shop today. Was getting ready to leave when I thought I should get some material to build a stand. I cut everything as you did at first in the woods hop then had to re cut the 18s down once I got home and finished watching the video 😂. I’m using mine for a bearded dragon habitat but it worked flawless. I’m going to note I didn’t put the small block in the bottom instead i left the center open and instead I used that with the other block on the top and turned them flat for more surface area a
Ay man you rlly inspired me to keep this small yellow belly slider i found i bought a tank everything cause of that one vid you did with sheldon when you remodled his tank but thx for always making my day better right now im in florida and it;s haurable for online school im 13 in 8th and want it to just be over but your vids help me get through the day
Definitely doing this ..TODAY !! After watching many other builds this is exactly what I’m looking for , thank you for sharing , subscribed to your channel and looking forward to more uploads !! Thanks again great build great instructions
Carson I hope you see this comment I love 💖 your videos of it wasn't for you my turtle Shelly wouldn't be alive I followed all of your tips and tricks.(JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOUR OUT HERE CHANGING LIVES)
Carson!!! I missed you hitting 20k yahooo when did that happen - already over 21k - you on fire! I love the stand and the tutorial - you made it seem easy 👍
Just wanted to say I love all of your videos man. I've been following for a while observing all you do and it's been a fun ride so far! Looking forward to many more videos from you! While I have you here, clamp your miter saw down to the horses, or attach it to some sort of a wood base if you frequently use it on the horses. I'd hate for something to go wrong while you're operating it. I'm not trying to bicker at you I just freaked out a little bit watching you run that thing on them horses 😂 much love man 🤘 the stand looks pretty darn good
I plan on building a stand like this but for a 75 Gallon.. The only different thing I will be doing.. is building the bottom first... then the upper legs.. and then the supports... and then putting the top cap on last to ensure its resting on the extra supports.
Came here to say this! It's crazy how many videos there are here on RUclips of poorly designed aquarium stands. I mean, this one will *probably* work, but doing it correctly isn't much more work and would only require an extra 2x4 or two.
I remember I built two just like this one a long time ago from a RUclips video I found. But instead of leaving it open at the top where the tank sits. The guy out like foam or something I can’t remember on the opening to keep it balanced
Hey I just wanted to say, they make edible sand that turtles can eat and it won’t hurt them! You won’t catch your turtle eating it a lot of the time but if he does or accidentally does it’s safe.
Also can we get a nitrogen cycle video how you start up your tanks because I'm struggling my baby turtle is in a new 10 gallon I setup 2 days ago and he bask all day he really doesn't get into the water much
Since turtles don't breathe through the water the nitrogen cycle doesn't matter, so his basking is definitely from a different cause, I'm not too sure what though, may just be scared due to a new habitat. I have a baby turtle myself
God bless anyone reading this! Seek him while you can! Jesus is the way and he is coming soon! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
I going to build a stand like yours for a 30 gallon tank (30.5lx12.5wx19h) - I am a little nervous is 4 feet high something most people do not do? Can I build it the same way yours looks? I do plan to use the inside for storage in the future. Thanks in advance going to buy wood for it today and will wait for you to reply
Most 2by4 can hold weight that far exeeds a 40 gallon and even a 55 gallon, with that contruction it'll be 100% fine. Just look up wood weight test or 2b4 strength test, you'll be surprised. They can hold like sometimes over 500 or 600 pounds without any contstruction
My eyes light up when I see this man upload! 👀😂
For real

This is easy enough for ANYONE! I needed something for my tortoise table and this design is simple and really great!
This video is probably the most informative for building a stand, and also the funniest. This dude is so chill.
Thanks! Just built this with my 9 yo. It was $60, but $20 was paint alone. Good lesson in carpentry. I went with 12 ft boards, so I count get four 36” boards out of 3 cuts.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that does this. Every single project usually buy one extra board. Good video thanks
Carson is the only youtuberbi will watch the full ads for and not turn on my ad blocker just because I love his content so much
I know this is a older video, but I took your stand dimensions, went to home depot, bought what i needed, built it. Only different thing was I added a 3/4 thick 36x18 plywood on top. Thanks man!
Love from India bro keep up your work Im watching your every video from where u started.
Dude you're freaking talented!!!!!! That stand looks sick!!! You deff should look into building and selling stands as a side career...unless it already is ahaha...keep it up bro!!!
You saved my life when I figured out how unstable a tv stand would be. Going to go to lowes. Thank you sir
Everything aside your lawn is😮😮😮

This dudes content is amazing
Great explanation! I am going to tackle this project myself.
Carson!!! I missed you hitting 20k yahooo when did that happen - already over 21k - you on fire! I love the stand and the tutorial - you made it seem easy 👍
Ps I did see you hit it a week ago - I just don't know if you had a celebration party - you were pretty quiet about it - lets celebrate 🙃
Your channel is growing really fasttttt
I can’t wait for the day Carson hits 40k!!!
Love it . I want to make my own stand. I think I could do it, the instruction are very clear and easy to follow. Thanks
Great job man. Doing the same this weekend using this video. Thanks
Super cool!! I wanna make this stand for my 10 gallon (when I get one😂)
I check his profile at least 10 times a day to see if he uploaded and when he does I shake with excitement
Stand looks great
I really do love your videos !! You really need more views and likes you deserve it !!!
I love your videos so much you are my favorite youtuber keep the awesome work up
Thank you for 👍 my comment would you recommend an african clawed frog as a pet?

Man you should post more frequently. Cant wait for your vid😍👍
Never thought I would be watching this 🤣 Im watching to see the price lol I need to build or buy one

Definitely going to do this for my 55 gallon turtle tank and 40 gallon tanks, but with a plywood and cabinet door finish
Can't live without your videos! Keep up the great work!!
Nice content Carson keep going after the grind and you will get there very shortly
You definitely want the support beams carrying the weight to the floor. Don’t let the screws hold up 400 pounds of water and glass🤙
Came here to say this! It's crazy how many videos there are here on RUclips of poorly designed aquarium stands.
I mean, this one will *probably* work, but doing it correctly isn't much more work and would only require an extra 2x4 or two.
I don't even own fish anymore but your videos are awesome man keep it up
Bro I gotta commend you… you just got me to do my own stand
Love all of your videos man
The long waited video
I don't see how anyone can hate this guy
Now even I can make a stand thanks dude💪🏻💪🏻
Nice video. I'm going to try the same build, but wrap it in pallet wood with cabinet type doors.
you should get an eastern spiny softshell, theres not to many videos on them so it would be interesting
What are your thoughts on adding plywood on top? Mainly to add a leveling mat underneath the tank.
That stand looks really sick bro, tempted to build one similar for my 55.
Bless this man
I did like the same exact thing with the same color also
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISSS!!!!!!!
Thank you for inspiring me to make a RUclips channel 👍👌
Looks like it turned out really good the only thing I would have done different was maybe add a top on it, but you always can do that in the future.
that is a good looking stand. to buy one like that costs a pretty penny.
Is it bad that there is no support under the centre of the glass? Like if that was full of water
Honestly this is an amazing tutorial I’m gonna try and do this with my tank
God bless you Carson!!!!
My Husband just made one yesterday,I hope it is good as yours.
Great job, looks good inspiring me to just make my own stand for my new turtle tank 🐢...
Bout to make one for my 20 gallon long. Hope it turns out good😂😂
excellent work
Great video. How did you make the face /front of the tank stand next to the one you made?
How would you recommend putting a rim around the bottom of the tank? Just so it has no way of sliding around or anything
Loving the tank stand 👍🏽
I remember I built two just like this one a long time ago from a RUclips video I found. But instead of leaving it open at the top where the tank sits. The guy out like foam or something I can’t remember on the opening to keep it balanced
The guy glued the tank down with Great Stuff foam?
Awesome video Carson, great job in building the stand, keep up the amazing work
Love your videos, I need turtles now!
What do you call a famous turtle? A shellebrity
Your vids are awesome.
Does that paint make the wood water resistant or water proof? I wanna use wood but I wanna paint it so water doesn’t ruin if a drop ever gets onto it.
What kind of spray paint you use?
Hey I just wanted to say, they make edible sand that turtles can eat and it won’t hurt them! You won’t catch your turtle eating it a lot of the time but if he does or accidentally does it’s safe.
When is the tortoise 🐢 coming I’m waiting 😃. Get a tortoise, Get a tortoise, Get a tortoise 🐢!
Already has box turtles
@@bigworm6088 Yeah but they are tortoises! PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT BOX TURTLES ARE TURTLES!
Hello, do you use 2"x4" wood section ?
love the vids keep up the grind
Bob the builder 😂😂
Be sure to pre-drill before you run the screws or else some of the ends will crack!! I learned this the hard way the first time I built one of these 😒
this man really sneezed and included it 😂
Also can we get a nitrogen cycle video how you start up your tanks because I'm struggling my baby turtle is in a new 10 gallon I setup 2 days ago and he bask all day he really doesn't get into the water much

Had the wood shrunk at all?
Did you consider doing an edge at the top to help keep the tank from sliding?

A quick question, how do you make sure the stand you are going to build is sturdy enough to hold a 40 gallon?

Hey man can you review things that u would consider for beginners?(Keep up the work u will get 1 mil one day)
