I rode the full route in 35 hours (on a rigid surly ogre). I think it can be ridden faster as I was not efficient with resupplies. I have fond memories of hallucinating sea turtles as I climbed Rincon Redbox.

This is one of the best videos to prepare future riders for this route. I know this video took a long time to edit, but your efforts are noticed and appreciated. I only have one small comment-it would be awesome to know more about your riding partners. I think it's awesome you got to spend five days with your father. Awesome route breakdown and great video production! Thank you so much. I look forward to riding this route in 2024. I’ll be heading down from Chico in Nor Cal. Is there a month you’d recommend? I know baldy can be snowy!
I would shoot for April. But talk to a local for the current conditions and forecast on Baldy and that will help a lot. Even if you deal with some snow around Baldy, that time of year should be much more enjoyable for the rest of the route. Have a good ride.
