  • I’ve traveled across the country multiple times in every different direction. I’ve also ridden across Europe through 9 countries but I have never experienced a ride as difficult as this one. We started from San Bernardino Metrolink station and rode up to Big Bear by mountain bike trails to the actual starting point of this ride. We actually did not finish the entire route but here is what happened.

    This was a doozy! I was not ready for this kind of riding. Here's the blog post with more information about the back story and resources we've used. milestonerides.com/2018/06/25/bikepacking-the-baldy-bruiser-hardest-tour-yet/

      Why couldn’t you use paneers and racks?

    Nice video! I road from San Bernardino to Arrowhead along the baldy bruiser route last year. Total butt kicker but awesome. Look forward to finishing it. If you ever do a group ride again, drop me a line! I’ll try to join.

    Sometimes those "Really Sucky At The Time" events, when you look back, are really memorable. Great video!!

    You all are very TOUGH! Some of those hike-a-bike sections were crazy, and that was a lot of CLIMBING! Way to tough it out, all!

    Interesting. all the 29 bikes fitted with touring drop bars.
    5:00 is kinda bad. hundreds of spent shotgun shells all over the trail.

    How do I sign up to ride this with you and others?

    • @Milestonerides
      @Milestonerides  4 года назад

      There's a Meetup group that we post up rides. We ask folks to contribute $2 a month so to weed out people who are serious about this so when you're ready for your first tour with us, you can jump in. I wouldn't join the MeetUp group until you're absolutely sure you're coming unless you don't mind contributing the money. It actually goes to the organizer who is no longer me. milestonerides.com/MeetUp.
