Supmix 6250 Chainsaw | A Real Life Review

The Supmix 6250 Amazon Chainsaw- Honestly it performed better than I expected. Generally speaking, I don't advocate for the purchase of knock-off tools, but I also know it doesn't make sense for everyone to spend the money on name brand equipment. If you're careful with the on/off switch and do a little bit of maintenance, I think this saw could be a good fit for some people. But it here: amzn....

Wood Stove For Winter Camping...A Few Things I Learned
Просмотров 366Год назад
The stove we used for this was originally designed for winter backpacking. With a slight modification (and a slight loss of sleep) it kept us warm inside the truck. This video will show you a few things I learned so you can go out and have your own adventure.

3 Mistakes I Made While BIKEPACKING THE GAP TRAIL
I like your way of speaking-direct and without micro-clickbait like 'if you want to know how the Starlink dish works in the snow, stay tuned,' and then first talking about the performance in sunshine. You do it better-straightforward and right to the point, telling about your experiences like chatting with a friend and sharing your recent experiences. I really like that!
Anyone know where to get the bottom metal piece with the locks are? Can’t find anything other thank just the locks
Like # 667. These are $107 for Black Friday
I did 32 inch with it
It's only 58cc! Regardless of what the sticker says.
Does cutting it and inadvertently heating it, give off fume like PVC does?
Really enjoyed this video. We bought ours new in 1991 along with our 91 Toyota 4WD and we still have them both and in great condition!! In 1992 it was our home on the road for 6 months. The only time we couldn't deploy it was during a night in Chaco Canyon with 50+ mph winds. A solid gadget. Adding a pair of additional leaf springs really helped with the weight and kept the truck level.
Mine also is a 62cc, change the plastic air filter to the paper air filter, works great. It came with the set, plug play, might have to trim down the spark plug rubber cover a little bit.
Nice brotha
Haha loved this video. Keep up the good work.
My starlink mini melted the snow all night at Cooke City, MT this past weekend.
Depends on type of construction in a home. Also condensation can be an issue
Is this a Dolmar 6300 clone? Any word on parts interchangeability?
I don't know if the GB SFA is comparable to the Woodcraft. A better comparison would the the Woodcraft against the GB Scandinavian Forest axe.
Thanks for the actual review. I found this very helpful. We have a tree down from Milton that is in the way. I’ve made it for years without my expensive chainsaws. So, “home owner with few times needing a chainsaw” was exactly what I was looking for. Cheers! Liked and subscribed.
Several people keep asking what thickness you need. Depends on the thickness of the original channel. To measure use a drill bit in the channel. The channel will usually have some kind of seal. Try to reuse. If the seal is shot, you need to find some kind of similar seal. Do not mount plexiglas without a seal. A bit gutsy, you could install the plexiglas without the seal, then use RTV sealer so it does not move.
What about gen 3
I have one of these I keep near my splitting station it runs really well I would put into most with the 455 husqvarna all day long.
I got one of these brand new to put on my new 1999 Hilux, got it painted to match, it was $5000 and worth every penny. The Wildernest is by far better than anything on the market today. It is easy to setup/takedown, still use the truck, comfortable, more room, 9’ from bed to roof. If a company made these today, they would outsell everything. I wish I still had mine.
Your supposed to guide the pull cord down easy. Great video and review! Lots of bugaboos in the chainsaw world people don't realize. You're supposed to warm them up you supposed to run them a little heavy on the oil side. You can damage your piston score it down the whole sidewall if you don't warm up your chainsaw.
This is actually not gonna work because you forgot to say “it ain’t going nowhere”
You don’t need a fresh air intake if you live in a drafty home. Sure, it’s taking some of the warm air from inside but, it really doesn’t make that much of a difference.
Best Starlink info for the PacNW. Thank you.
Really appreciate this, thank you.
Close but no cigar
Missing some information. Outside air has fallen out of favor after more thorough analysis. 1st missing piece is that your cold outside air is cooling your stove so that’s heat not going into your home. It ends up being a net 0 of pulling air from other leakage/drafts in the house. They also found outside weather could have alot of negative effects the most severe having wind push down the chimney and having your fire reverse and go out your cold air intake starting a fire
If you don't half-ass as you say, then right off why assume that it's a 62cc rather than measure the bore and stroke to find that it's NOT 62cc???😂😂😂
I SET THE SAW ON SOME THING FLAT while holding the saw by the handle with my left hand securing the saw so it wont move the I PULL THE ROPE NOT LETTING IT GO LETTING IT SNAP BACK IN TO THE SAW you can lose the rope that way
I WAS CHEAP I had THE TREE MAN JUST CUT THE TREE DOWN NOT TAKE IT AWAY THEY tangled every thing up the trunk was on top of the limbs and all the brush what a mess my electric saw could not do it too weak to cut up the big pieces so I looked at rental They charge 77 dollars a day to rent a saw for a day it is cheaper to buy the 140 dollar saw and own it I brought one and I had no problem cutting a large 30 inch oak tree up great powerful saw the tree is now beautiful fire wood
✅️ Your sense of humor, too.
Hook a sister up w a link to your custom decal guy?
7:35 Like watching a distant train way off in the desert?
Then why no wood stove has more than a hole?
I have a wood stove with pipe/flue to outside. With air intake at bottom of stove. Should it smoke?
Does Starlink have a support email or phone I can call to see if my obstructions will cause an issue. Currently the app says some interruptions, but what does some mean?
All major cell phone manufacturers have included “Wi-Fi calling” . Check your phones’ “cellular settings. I have the same concern and just setting mine up. Many videos suggest it works great. It is totally different than Starlink’s future endeavors with cell to satellite calling so don’t get lost in those videos!

You need a haircut dude....LOL Thanks for the info I got starlink for my beach house in the Philippines. Hopefully I wont lose the dish to a typhoon anytime soon.
I've started selling off my name brand saws to buy these instead. They're awesome and reliable and stupid easy and cheap to fix compared to stihl or Husqvarna. I will say avoid anything coochear, otherwise the garwinner, neo tech, enen the no name one i got off temu have been great saws. I take all 3 when I daylight roads at work or cut firewood after. Mainly to keep from having to sharpen in the woods lol
With a Circular Saw you need to flip the blade (mounting it backwards) It will still cut It just won't tear and chip the plexi-glass, It's very loud but it does work! Yrs ago I was taught how to do this to replace the OEM glass on demolition excavators where I worked in MI. It's surprised me too being 41 at the time and never heard of such a thing, If I still had the frame for my old Lear high topper I would do it but it was missing when I bought the truck. Good old 99 Ford truck btw.✌🏻
Good job,👍🏼Wish I could find a way to replace the glass on my LEAR Hi-topper model # 243727 unfortunately it's missing the complete frame (bought the truck this way)1999 F150 8 ft box. 🇺🇸 ✌️
Wow great job I just busted my window hatch thinking of putting a board on it but now I’m gonna do what you did thank you very much have a great day be safe
Good luck, by the way the correct way to cut plexiglass with a circular saw is you need to mount the blade backwards trust me I've done it at the shop years ago wear EAR&eye protection it's very loud!!
How thick is the plexiglass
Wanting to install but have a 15% obstruction. Any thoughts on if that’s useable or not?
Did you install it and if so how is it holding up?
@@cristiancolindres3677 was just delivered the other day. Haven’t installed it yet
@@loganyoung2408 oh okay let me know how it goes thinking about getting one
Excellent, and very comprehensive review! We appreciate you taking the time to produce this video. As you stated, not much information on this specific chainsaw. Your information will help others make an informed decision on purchasing this saw! Looking forward to seeing future videos!
I was just about to pull the trigger on the Proyama for $299, but this one popped up on sale on Amazon for $179.99 CAD with another 5% discount and this looks to take the same chain and bar as my 42cc Homelite I've been getting by with for years, so I'm going to give it a shot.
Does this thing really run on 25:1 or is that just for break in?
I have 38% obstruction and it’s the best spot. I have 2 more smaller trees to remove but there’s 4 I just can’t remove and they’re the worst offenders. Next option is telescoping pole.
How is it holding up with the obstruction? Do you have good connection or is it really bad?
I’m worried about wind. I’ve had the window trim ripped off my car it can get so windy here
3:34 haha Your lighting is really good!
bullshit, i just did 9 days 8 nights with it in the Arctic sweden, no resupply. food, sleeping gear, double wall tent. it works for longer hikes!
